The dept this story needed
26 July 2019
Excellent execution of this story. The longer episodes and Korean style story telling allowed me to relax with the characters. I had the time I needed to get to know subtle persona nuances which gave room for sympathetic and empitetic moments from my side (abr. tears). It has also suffered very little americanisations which was refreshing. The cinematic style used on the "curtain-closer" was a pleasant cerebral recap. I look forward to see how this show is carried forward.

No room for a toilet break
24 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Just back from the theatre. Positioned myself beside the exit so I could slip out to the bathroom knowing it was just over three hours long, but so much was happening on the screen that I had to cross my legs. Exceptional ending to a fantastic decenium of action. There is no post credits which makes absolute sense so no need to sit through credits if you don't find it interesting.

Back to the roots of space
28 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Completely caught off gaurd! The original Star Trek dealt with current social events by interweaving social commentary into the screenplay. TNG also did this but in more generalized, less directed, way. So not only are we now on the business end of a swashbuckling space drama in this two-parter but we get to explore AI in "all it's glory". An exhaustively discussed issue by proponents (Zuckerburg, Bezo) and appoments (Sam Harris, Musk) alike. Part 1 is in the "careful what you wish for" Musk camp so it will be interesting how this plays out.

Originally different take on an old chestnut
1 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
From the onset I had written this episode off like so many repeated pop-songs to be a predictable love story destined to follow the usual rythem but I was gladly mistaken. The way in which the show solidified the relationship between Isaac and the doctor at the end was impressive and my cheese-o-meter didn't even pass the halfway mark. Plus, can you imagine the variety of settings, besides vibrate, she can get out of that boy.

Raw, irreverent and relevant
17 December 2018
Refreshing, direct to the point comedy. Not much interpretation asked of the viewer because it's spelled out for you. Completely cathartic so sit back and let it wash over you.

Travelers, if acting skills were secondary!
11 December 2018
The premise was fine, but unoriginal. The acting was horrific. Forget desperate time travelers, they weren't believable as human beings. After having watched this I checked YouTube just encase it was a YouTuber playing director for a day who got picked up by Netflix.

Raw! No flash, no bang!
1 October 2018
No effects, no bang, no flash! We are brought on a journey of reality no longer portrayed in Hollywood. This film is about people and about how people see family, whether it be biological or not. Transcendent in character yet raw in nature. Not one scenic view of beautiful Ireland polluted this magnificent portrayal of the loss and effort to regain human dignity. I thought it slow to begin with but it's compelling story held me captivated. Bravo! Bravo!

It has everything!

There is more depth to this show than just prequel stylizing. I have laughed and teared-up. I have even pondered humanity and its failings. It gets my "10" hands down.
