I thought this was going to be a compelling documentary. In reality, it was boring. I've seen better crime documentaries on Dateline, 20/20 and most anything on the ID channel.
I'm glad that this woman was recovered alive, and what she went through must have been terrifying. I think most law enforcement would have handled the case in a similar way. To make them out to be hapless and apathetic is just wrong! Netflix seems to like stories where they can find fault with law enforcement.
This story has been told in various prior documentaries. The movie Gone Girl is a better option if you like this kind of stuff. This documentary was a waste of time.
