The series starts somewhat interesting and then worsens rapidly until the end. It's mind-boggling how stupid certain aspects are. Here's the list off the top of my head:
Greer (almost every character has a stupid name) tries to keep under control all the flaws of the Winbury family so much that she asks new members to sign NDAs but doesn't ask a lawyer when interrogated as a murder suspect? (none of them do). Also, she is interrogated alongside another suspect, in the same room. When I saw this, I forgot the scenes of a cop drinking in a bar in his uniform...
Talking about the cop duo, their investigation is as shallow as the show itself and I don't remember seeing a detective as stupid and annoying as Henry.
The way the diamond bracelet is found is almost as dumb as the way the victim lost it. The victim who is as spoiled as most of the characters but somehow doesn't decide to treat a deep cut on her foot (whiskey glasses break easily in this one) but instead opts for a night swim. The murderer is apprehended in the end without explaining the evidence or motive (though you can figure it out).
Let's not forget the lovely nod of Amelia's mother bringing euthanasia pills to her daughter's wedding. The woman probably knew it wasn't convenient to do it in her own home. And maybe sensed what the Winbury's are like.
Basically, they all have sex with each other and Amelia does her best to fit in. In between, she is mourning the loss of her best friend (she fit in before Amelia).
As in all modern TV limited series, there is an abundance of vulgarity and word 'fu@king', close-ups are mostly unnecessary and too much, but the worst Bier did was actually the dance intro. God, that was painful...
The most enjoyable scenes are the interactions between Schreiber and Kidman.
Skip.
