The Last of Us: When You're Lost in the Darkness (2023) Season 1, Episode 1

Good start to the show

Impressive and fun first episode.

Random casting but overall very well written and directed with good suspense. Matches the game's overall feel and story, that's the good thing. Faithful to the game is rare in a movie.

The little girl freaks me out a little bit even more than the zombies for some reason.. she just got that cold stare.

Would've been nice to the characters stay true to the original but these days can't ask for that anymore it seems. Not as bad as Wesker in the stupid Netflix resident evil series at least! Lol

Looking forward to the rest of the series and hope it doesn't disappoint.

Dragon Ball GT (1996– )

Better than super. The more logical sequel to Z

After Z the choices were to either find new enemies in other planets/galaxies or go on the path of Super with the afterworld and deities.

The evolution made much more sense to continue exploring the universe. New enemies would appear, and continue progressing the characters (SS4). That's what DBGT did, albeit not without its flaws especially the first part of the series which felt quite long.

DBS on the other hand had to immediately give an illogical boost to Goku and Vegeta to god mode in order to continue the story. That made less sense and the power levels were getting confusing.

Overall I really enjoyed a lot of the DBGT arcs, I think the baby arc was especially amazing. The transformation to SS4 is one of the most memorable of DB history. Really exciting moments in the show.. many flaws yes but the story made sense.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero (2022)

It's been a while since good DB material was released, and this is one that true fans will enjoy.

From the familiar story and good battles, funny moments reminiscent of the original, all in theatre cinematics... what's there not to like?

Not sure what happened to this show

Last few episodes feel out of touch, slowly building to bad and inaccurate storytelling .

A black priest marrying the king himself in that time and place? Just would never happen.

A king that rides into the frontline of battle (unrealistic and laughable).

Women leading armies and kingdoms in that era.. nope.

A grandmother that looks younger than her granddaughter for some reason.

Better Call Saul: Waterworks (2022) Season 6, Episode 12

Another one. Masterfully crafted again.

A lot to process In this episode.

The way it is all presented to the audience is just masterful.

We witness the total breakdown of a man, going to the dark side.

Meanwhile his ex-wife is trying to get amends for all of it by living a normal life and wanting to confess all past wrongdoings.

The ending just amazing, with an old lady nonetheless, it was always easy for Jimmy to deal with them, Saul began pushing the limits of acceptable with Sandpiper, and here Gene just went too far.

The ending really reminded me of Walt's downfall in the end of BB, when there was no more ways to justify what he was doing; he had become the criminal.

I think we will see Walt in the next episode to end the series in a grande finale, can't wait.

There will just never be better TV than this.

Better Call Saul: Breaking Bad (2022) Season 6, Episode 11

Cinematic masterpiece

Just Incredible. Might be one of my favorite episodes ever of any show.

There was no way to connect the two shows better than this. We are now watching the sequel to BB with flashbacks showing us how Saul had more impact to BB than we thought.

Genius, genius writing and directing.

So we have multiple black Weskers now while the original Wesker also is black for some reason. And that's in 2005 before he dies white in 2009. Ok.

Meanwhile future Jade's character is still a disaster with a series of bad decisions.

Girls can't even recognize their own father's clone? Ok.

Somehow in all this the most important thing is to rebel at their dad, and cry about how evil he is because all of his lies.

Then all of a sudden, Billie is the supervillain running umbrella while Jade is trying to save the world. So both girls are on top of the world. Ok.

Seriously can't believe someone sane wrote this script.

How to make the worst possible RE story

I thought the reviews were exaggerating .. I gave the show a chance it even had some good moments..

But in this episode everything coming together is just a disaster. What little girls would behave like that in a situation that they have no clue about given the stakes when their dad has it all under control. It is just beyond stupid.

Faithful adaptation. Surprisingly good.

This movie is a must watch for true RE fans.

It's finally a movie that tells the story that made us love the games so much. I like the fact they reshot a lot of the same exact scenes of the games and boss fights.

Ok this is not a 10 movie but had to give it a good review because of all the negative ones.

And yes there are inconsistencies compared to the original stories due to the format (2 hr movie vs 20 hr games).

Chris and Claire were great in their roles.

Leon and Jill not so much unfortunately.

Overall, really entertaining and best RE adaptation yet.

Just genius writing.

For those who don't get why Gus went to find Lalo, and risked his life ; it's because Lalo was planning to film the basement and send it to Don Eladio which would give him the proof he needed to have an ok on killing Gus.

Only downside was maybe Lalo could've or should've played it differently, like weaken Gus much more to avoid him having any chance (shooting a leg, hand, etc).

Stranger Things: Chapter Nine: The Piggyback (2022) Season 4, Episode 9

Overall an ok season finale with some inconsistencies

First of all this season has been my favorite so far, it left viewers on the edge for the whole time except the last episode especially the end.

My issues with this particular episode:

Final battle It's very tiring to see the recycled ending of an antagonist by El's hand. It's always the same thing. It seems they need to have her evolve a bit or have other characters be anything else than useless.

Bad acting/ writing and ending

it seems they want to give every character their moments even though they are totally useless in the whole plot. Mike's speech to El in the battle felt forced and why would it make her stronger... El is just strange on camera sometimes when she interacts with others and has random emotions (reunion with her dad, and others). Other reunions were strange too. The ending was really strange ... imagine going through hell literally and a few hours you're back being happy like nothing happened. Plus they literally have opened the gates to hell and the devil is still lurking... writing makes 0 sense.

Russia.

Just doesn't make any sense to go back to fight demodogs at a Russian prison you just broke out of bu miracle. Just because "you think it might help the others".

Note that this creature was THE villain of season 1 and suddenly Hopper can kill it with a sword ?

Anyway could have been a better episode and ending but overall a much better season than season 3 and had great moments.

Decent ending for a decent show

Not sure what all the reviews are all about.

First of all this whole show didn't make much sense from the beginning, still entertaining as a show overall though... Last episode had great moments... and the last scene was just like the whole show's plot nonsensical fun.

I remember watching this last episode last year and thinking this can't be real it's like a parody. The worst ending that could have been done happened. No logic, no continuity, no sense. Ruined this great show forever. Imagine having the best tv content ever and not destroying it in one season. That's what happened.
