Girls in Love (2003)
Brilliant way to spend half hour
Girls in love is a brilliant way to spend half hour, however, I have to admit that it is extremely irritating that the details in the program aren't similar to those of the book series. Also, when I first saw girls in love, I thought that the girls were in like yr 10 or 11 and I was amazed that they were supposed to be in year 9 and 13. I, being in year 9, know that these girls act much older than a year 9 girl. However, the series is easy to relate to and does portray most of the problems that a teenage girl has to face. Its also a laugh and a great series to watch and I am very much looking forward to the second lot of episodes. However, there is another point, why get a boy who looks 15 to play a 17 year old? I am talking about Russell, the actor does not look like he's playing a 17 year old. Oh well, apart from those points, its a great show!
The Village (2004)
An interesting, but rather twisting story.
The village was a very good film, but wasn't what I expected it to be. In the advertisements, it looked like it was going to be a good horror movie and when I went to see it at the cinema, its a good movie, but not at all scary, however, it does make you jump a little. I would class this as a film that you would probably find better watching at home on the television, rather than at the cinema. However, I prefer M. Night Shyamalan's Signs and unbreakable and the Sixth sense. I thought that these films had a clearer plot outline and a far more interesting plot. I would like to give this film 6/10, as it was entertaining, but not as good as it could have been.
Finding Nemo (2003)
Good fun
This film was probably one of the best animated films that I have seen. Animated films these days entertain a wide range of audience, adults as well as young children. Finding Nemo is a great story of the father's search for his son in the big ocean. It shows young children how much their parents really do love them and care for them, as well as ntertaining the children at the same time. I ver much enjoyed this movie and now theres a lot of stuff like bags and t sirts mugs etc out with finding nemo on them, showing me that Finding Nemo has been a big seller and shall continue to entertain people whilst it is being seen. I give this film 10/10 for its wonderful entertainment!
Panic Room (2002)
You're never totally safe, even at home....
The panic room was a cleverly made film. I liked it because of its off-the-seat entertainment with brilliant thrilling stuff to watch. Jodie Foster was an excellent actress as mother Meg with her diabetic daughter Sarah. They work together to be safe and alone in their own home, oblivious to the idea that three men are on the verge of a vicious break in, screaming and shouting. Screaming and shouting, the Girls want to know what these men seek, when they meet, but what they don't know is that what they seek lies in a place not too far from where they stand. I give this movie 10/10 for it's thrilling adventurous entertainment!
Secret Window (2004)
A brilliant movie
i would just like to say that this movie was one of my favourites. it came across as a sort of psychological thriller to me and it did take me a little time to figure out the story, but I like a good challenge! Johnny Depp was brilliant and was very good at acting as a lazy couch potato! But is that acting or is it for real, I wonder.... The film was very thrilling and kept me off the edge of my seat the whole way through, but I am not gonna spoil the story for anybody because I think that everyone who likes to watch a thriller with a lot of death in it, will want to watch this film. I give it 10/10 for its thrilling entertainment
Love Actually (2003)
Good
Love actually was a strange but unique film. The reason for why it was unique is because it was like 10 love stories that were all combined into one movie and each of them showed a different aspect of love. Everyone in this film had a fairly big part and the cast was spectacular. I give this film 9/10 because it was an excellent romantic comedy, but I don't think that there should be a sequel because it is only good if it is shown alone without any second parts or third parts along with it.
I definitely recommend anyone who likes a good romantic laugh to see this and it also shows you how love doesn't necessary have to be "love" in a romantic sense, but it can be love between family as well
