The Chair (2021)
Academic genre shows tend to get boring . . .
It's a bit of a bore. But wow applause from me for even trying to juxtapose modern permissibility and trend-worshipping and appearance-mongering with common sense.
Masters of the Universe: Revelation (2021)
The very best has already come and this is just socio - agenda, skip it
**** IMDB has Removed this review 2 times now!, It had reached 160 views the first time****

Make no mistake;
**** I am removing my observation which might be bothering IMDB ****
Synopsis Skip-It or Watch-It : Skip it if you want to see He-Man. Watch it if you are impressed or entertained by momentary subversive nonsense. To each his own. Fool you until you allow yourself to be fooled. It's Just an arrogantly obvious subversive sleight of the hand, in my opinion.
Check Out He-man and MOTU 2002.
Review:
All in all an interesting twist on the he-man fantasy genre. Good Animation. Very bombastic 80's style action.
But we have seen this kind of sleight of hand before, haven't we? The only ideas that remain with the now self-important 'intellectually superior' Hollywood clique are identity politics and subversion! What's the point of subversion, really?
--- hold that thought - - -
the second part is a MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT
Watching it right now.
The Suicide Squad (2021)
Cleverly written multi-dimensional characters, even the supporting characters!
Alternate Review title : Always Hated Amanda Waller!
Well written thought-through screenplay. No under-conceived socio -trend insertion here. Was invested from the get go. It doesn't take a genre movie to involve the audience from the start. It is a characteristic of the writing. And is a positive point in my opinion. Engages from the start, doesn't tire or lose focus of the audiences interest or the goal of the plot.
Devil may care attitude.
Parental advisory : As Some might expect this to be a comic book movie so its suitable or meant only for children. Let me withdraw you from that notion. It's pretty violent for children.
No unnecessary sexual innuendos as they were in 'Batman: Assault on Arkham' and 'Hell To Pay'.

The Prince (2021)
I'll give it £10.
It's a bit dated-tabloid contrived.
It takes some interesting creative liberties. Its not a must watch. But i find it refreshing in contrast to that aristo-trash nonsense such as the crown and Downton Abbey.
Death to aristo-trash.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
This bulbous bow of a movie demands your 29.99 but would you fork it over?

Synopsis Skip-it or Stream-it :
Even with 4 Stars I Shall still say this movie is watchable. You will not be making a mistake with this movie. Whether it holds your attention, with it's recycled and rehashed stunts thrills and comedy tropes, is entirely up to you.
Review:
A Prime example of movie-logic plot. Only makes sense inside of a movie. Better enjoyable on a bigger screen. You might not need to go to the theatre if you want to stay safe. Huddle around with your family and enjoy.
Very similar to 'Jumanji : Welcome to the jungle'. That makes this Nock-Nohnson's third Jungle outing. If you count 'Journey to the center of the earth II'.

Crux : Take my Advice; Skip It. Or don't; Watch it. As all the reviewers seem to like. And certainly seems like a colluded effort to do so.
Hot Take :
Pros: Cant find any.
Cons: Uninteresting unlikeable characters. Choppy editing. Heterogenous scene cutting. Very Dim Lighting. Unnecessary characters arcs for e.g. 'who's screwing who'.
Review :
Getting through this movie was not fun. It was a chore. Watching this movie was was like trying to swallow glass marbles. It takes a great deal of effort to stop myself from falling asleep. As it doesn't pull the viewers attention from get go into the plot of the movie. The plot materializes about 40 minutes into the movie. Uptill then what you may ask, transpires in the movie? Nonsense. Unnecessary character arcs which don't contribute at all to the main plot of the movie.

My previous review was more detailed but imdb deleted it. I cant think of any reason for it other than it wasn't in conformity with the other reviews of this movie.
Fear Street: 1666 (2021)

Exceeded my expectations. Good Story. Nice twist. If you have watched the preceding installments and want to know how it ends you will like this last entry.
Pros : Fast pace. Grips your interest from the beginning. Follows through with all Loose Ends.
I have now completed my review of all three installments sequentially.
Ransom for a Dead Man (1971)
"How'd you like it Leslie? Just giving you the same kind of welcome home you gave my father."
Well this was the second first episode or the second pilot. Maybe made an odd 3-4 years after the first one. So much changed from 1967 to 1970-71. Fashion. Cars. Attitudes. Behaviors. Speaking patterns. Gadgets.
One of the better put together episodes. Great acting by the antagonist. Wow. So sexy yet so fierce and easy to hate. Peter Falk's second first episode for the character he co-created. Not a single thing is cringy or over the top.
Cons : Only one and minus one point because of it. The murder plan is a bit over the top and too elaborate.
Black Widow (2021)
"Both of you girls have killed so many people, you make me so proud"
*** Never spoilers. I find giving away the plot to guide users juvenile***
*** Hot Take ***
Pros : Was looking for a refreshing action movie. Thrilling Action. Fun acting from Rachel Wiesz.
Cons : A bit rehashed. Should've come out after Civil War. Rachel's accent comes out when she hunches in the movie.
Review:
After a year of half-cooked, mediocre releases. This movie was honestly refreshing.
I have been an avid comic reader since the nineties. I have had my share of grievances with MCU but compared to DC much less. Such as there are no mutants, no WonderMan and quicksilver died too soon, No Reed Richards, no magneto. And MCU ruined A. I. M and Mandarin in a single movie.
But I digress. Great movie all around. As a comic reader i always wanted and wondered what Heli jumps and Widows signature free running would look in live-action. Amazing. Not disappointed at all. But is it worth a re-watch? Maybe. Its not groundbreaking in any shape or form.
Free of any brow-beating 'Hollywood Representation agenda'.
After Thoughts :
Taskmaster is an AWOL shield agent in the comics. The entire shtick of Taskmaster is that he is a freelance trainer of goons for underground organizations. He learns from superheroes and teaches it to goons. For cold hard cash. Shield lets him do it so they can keep tabs on how much the underground knows.
3 users voted down my post when I had only put the disclaimer "review coming tomorrow". Nice.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
I didnt expect Chris Pratt to board the ship of stupidity. This movie is either pompous or stupid. I cant make up my mind.
I knew we were heading towards an idiocracy. Didn't think Chris Pratt will be helming the ship in the armada of stupidity. You know what I mean.
This movie's screenplay needed more time to mature. It just throws disconnected exposition and plot points via news clips and army people at you without anything to pull the audience's attention. And the time physics logic is again just thrown in there without any glue to hold it together with the pacing of the movie. For the beginning of the movie, which is long and tedious, it fails to capture any interest and proceeding seems like a chore. Also the exposition and plot points are tossed in there with such pompousness that if the audience is unable to believe the plot points, they should think they are stupid.
The trailer tells half the story. So I am not spoiling it by saying why don't the nations of the world question the logic of sending people of current time to fight a war in the future rather than prevent what causes the apocalyptic future?
**** Hot take ****
Pros : I dont see any pros here just shoot em up.
Cons : This movie is either pompous or stupid. I cant make up my mind. Disjointed incoherent plot-physics. Exposition with pompous tone that fails to win the audience's interest. Siskel & Ebert would have torn this movie apart.
Why doesn't Hollywood take time out to create something genuine and unique, even out of the plethora of Greek mythology.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
Young blood in Peril.
(Edited)*** Spoiler Free Review, Always *** Jump to bottom for a Hot Take ***
When I saw the title and Poster, I basically thought Another slasher don't we have enough of already. But then I read its an R. L. Stine adaption of the fear street series. Oh yeah, I used to rent them from the school library. I try to stay away from Hollywood's template depiction of high-school.
It's the pacing that wins it the viewers attention.
Some of the redone elements are here. And some identity politics template used in current times being super imposed onto the screenplay. Freaky, Happy death day and so many more in recent years. I don't mind this one all too much. Honestly I Fast-forwarded the template teen drama. If you it doesn't bother you, you might find this film mildly entertaining.
**** Hot Take ****
Pros : Smooth pacing. Thrilling. Fast Food Entertainment.
Cons : Plot points are thrown in without logic or coherence. Not Grand plotting. Tried and trodden slasher jump scares. Some unnecessary HollyWood Representation drama thrown in.
Noteworthy mention : I was exposed to 'Only happy when it rains' back in 96-ish or seven-ish. Not 95 and certainly not 94. I doubt it started playing on radio as early as 95 when it was released, it certainly wasn't in 94 that's for sure. Google confirms it.
5 or 6 out of ten. I could go either way.
Wrath of Man (2021)
The Third act beat my head like a drum.
This movies third act beats my senses like a drum. It gives you a feeling of a run-of the mill actioner from the first act. But steady and uniform direction adds up. It's a slow cooker. The unrestricted third act is timely and very necessary. If you venture to watch this film, you'll find it rewarding. Good actin all around. 8 out of 10.
Mortal Kombat (2021)
Representation!
Hollywood Screams! Representation! Creates an all new character with shoe-horned powerset. The first act is laughably formulaic. With so many tired plot devices and elements. The 2nd act makes no sense whatsoever just following 90's B-movie logic. The third act over does it to compensate for a swiss cheese plot. Only if you have nothing better to do.
Nobody (2021)
Because . . . Why Not.
Again, if you have nothing else to do. Nothing new to see here. It's like Saul Goodman had a dark side.
If you've got nothing better to do.
A Quiet Place Part II (2020)
Fitting progression to the first part.
Continues it's World Building. Dont expect much to happen. It's Ok. Honestly nothing much happens in the third act. I don't know what to say. Honestly much more happened in Love and Monsters third act.
I think the director was more focused on character and world building and homogeneity. On which it certainly delivers.
I'll give it a 6 for direction, acting, stunt choreography, cinematography.
Cruella (2021)
De-Ville may care.
*** You may jump to the end for a Hot Take. *** (Edited)
The Emmas Are amazing. Film is Atmospheric and stylish. Due the screenplay being super imposed by Hollywood Identity politics agenda, it misses a lot of opportunities. It is still entertaining. Over romanticizes the bloated over indulgent fashion industry. Take it like entertainment. If you can. You will be entertained. It is not like Ocean's 8 or the Female Ghostbusters. Watch it when you want some thematic atmospheric entertainment. It Can also play in the living-room on special family get together Holidays like Eid, Christmas, Thanksgiving etc.
************Hot Take ******************
Pros : Atmospheric and stylish. Fun and entertaining. With a De Ville may care attitude. Fast, some pacing issues but not bad. Fun with family romp.
Cons : Relies upon the plot mechanisms of the 90's. Bloated glorification of the fashion industry. Obvious Hollywood "Representation" Agenda. Such as Characters introduced just for props without much development.
Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (2021)
If you wanna have some stupid fun and don't wanna do drugs.

Vulgar, profane. And hella lot fun. Nearly 90% of the worlds tiktok consuming population love this kind a stuff. Eat it up people. Entirety of Indian Subcontinent which is 1.5 Billion People will be laughing with their mouths open tongues out. It's probably going to be a hit movie there. From doing hashish, ganja, Coke or Heroin, its a nice alternative.
Pros : Vulgar Profane and hella lot entertaining. Ok Pacing. Doesn't drag.
Cons : Nonsensical plot. Stuff thrown in together which make little to no sense. Some innuendos out of the deluge of which do land. Takes it audiences as college frat-boys. Who care not for the plot and only for crude shock humor.
Some people are really big into watching Big-Budget movies. Well, this is certainly an expensive movie.
I have much too self respect to rate this movie any higher than 2 stars.
Werewolves Within (2021)
Heaven's . . . to Betsy. (Edited)
Insightfully funny. Milana Vayntrub plays the support to the protagonist. Milana sticks out. The Film Tries to steer away from Hollywood comedy stereotypes. Uniquely funny. It's a bit of a farce comedy. Although not completely copying Adam Sandler's style. It's Not Vulgar either. But Like Leslie Nielsen used to say Audiences don't like to think too much in their entertainment. It's an ok-watch, if you want to watch something while having dinner. I'll give it a 5.
Pros : Off-Beat humour, Satirical.
Cons : Slow-paced, a bit dull at times due to missed opportunities. Screenplay needed more time to cook.
Till Death (2021)
Megan Fox still can't get out of her 'Hot Girl' Phase. (Edited)
*** The helpful-yes-no buttons are for if or not the review helped you decide. Not whether you disagree with my opinion****
*** You may Jump to the bottom for a Hot-Take.***
Film's premise presents an interesting twist to the Husband/Wife revenge story. Megan Fails to deliver in the very beginning scene of the movie. Which is crucial to the story. That could have been the anchor. Hardly encouraging viewer to proceed. But if one does muster the interest to venture on, you can find the decent stunt choreography rewarding. The film is held together by standout performances by the three foreign male leads. Two of them deliver a quite decent New England Accent. It is decently suspenseful. It's an ok thriller romp. Tim Roth's son's performance is quite good. Sadly I found Megan Fox's 'I am too cool to fully immerse myself in the role' attitude, distracting and tiresome. However Megan is able to give a fair physical performance.
************Hot Take ******************
Pros : Decent stunt choreography. Decently suspenseful. Standout performances by three cast members. Good smooth pacing. Doesn't let the viewer yawn. Good direction on Megan's physical performance.
Cons : Megan's performance. Nuff' said.
It's an ok-watch, if you want to watch something while having dinner.
Sorry I can only give it 4 out of 10.
12-Jul-21; Edit : I am now increasing rating from 4 to 5.
Another Life (2019)
Not great but a fine new entertaining addition to space genre
We dont know how astrobiology is going to affect life from our planet that has gone through thousands of years of atmospheric filtering by millions of life forms of our planet. The hollywood tv shows and movies might get it wrong. What brings this show down. Trying too hard to be contemporary to new generational behavior trends.
Just watch it and enjoy the show.
Ofcourse it has insight into human nature to explore. But ofcourse trained scientists and astronauts are not as careless as depicted in hollywood tv shows and movies.
Why be so critical of shows that are entertaining and have some substance.
