The Last Voices of the Great War (2008)
Amazing
I loved this so much that I ended ordering it on dvd. Everyone should see this.
Unbelievable (2019)
Decent effort with some minor plot holes
The Good
* Lead duo Merrit Wever and Toni Collette did a great job
* Unique and engaging story
The Bad
* Felt like they added a bunch of water to the script just to add some extra episodes. Could have been concentrated down to 4-6 episodes instead of 8.
* Some plot holes
* Script felt very cliche at times. Especially the parts around the young girl played by Merritt Wever.
The Dirt (2019)
Cliché version of the book
This book was not converted good at all. It felt like a bad BBC comedy show.
The actors felt like they had no depth in their acting. Casting was terrible. Characters were shallow. It did not feel believable. Too MTV-ish in the cutting/directing when they should have gone more of a darker/noir route.
Bodyguard (2018)
High ratings given by ppl who havent seen ending
First half or 3 episodes were great. After that its as if they switched writer to an intern.
Lost in Translation (2003)
Were they really in love?
Do you guys really think this was a love story? I am not sure. The way I saw it, it was about 2 friends finding each other, kind of like finding a twin or soul mate, someone who you can talk with just about anything and you are both on the exact same level. The only thing that doesn't fit in to my idea of the movie is the kiss in the end..
They both lived very different lives and they both knew that they could never see each other back home because it wouldn't be the same and his wife, or her boyfriend wouldn't really understand.
The whole movie to me, was about a feeling that is so difficult to explain. Kind of like a movie describing one of those "you had to have been there" moments. And it just did it perfectly.
