Trivia

In the scene when Nikki wakes up in his hotel room with a groupie next to him, he throws a burrito out of the bed. According to Vince Neil, after a night of sex with groupies, Mötley Crüe would drive to a restaurant to buy egg burritos and rub them on their crotches to cover the smell of sexual intercourse so their girlfriends would not suspect their activities. Goofs

When Mötley Crüe play their first gig at the Forum in Inglewood, CA, the exterior color of the arena (behind the white columns) is painted blue. The Fabulous Forum was actually painted "California sunset red" at that time and was repainted blue only after Wayne Gretzky was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in the late 80's to early 90's. Furthermore, the band did not perform at the Forum until 1985. See more »

Quotes

[first lines]
Nikki Sixx: [narrating] The 1980s, the worst fucking decade in human history. Preppies and keyboards, stupid haircuts, Jazzercise, and "Just Say No". It all fucking sucked! So what do you do when you're born in the wrong time? You make it yours. And that's what we did to the Sunset Strip.

Ten stars all day

If you weren't there, you may not get it. Great film.

Motley Crue defined the era from their start to their break-up. It wasn't grunge that killed rock-n-roll, it was the break-up of Motley Crue.

This was waaaay better than I expected. Watch it!
