Freddy (2022)

A Different Film

If a decade ago, someone said they are creating a negative lead role film, I could only imagine a low budget film which will be ignored as soon as it came.

Freddy is a different thing. Karthik Aryan known for his love, energetic roles picking up a social awkward villain role as lead is biggest change of his career.

I am sure so many people are bored like me seeing him repeating characters. Though his performance was good enough in new Love Aaj Kal 2020, It was over thrown by Sara Ali Khan mismatched performance and script making no sense. This one was perfect for him. Dhamaka was nice but this was much better for him.

I hope Karthik does more experimentation on films like these.

Movie is a clean and perfect thriller get downside only by rushed climax. Suraj is amazing. The amount of research done by debutant director is amazing.

What the hell is it? There's a parallel story going all along with others?

So many characters introduced and reminds you why adults hate high school kids. They still play DnD so there's some positive.

Glad this single episode did introduce a lot of characters again. Picked up at right paces and did deliver perfectly.

Avoid Queen and You will Like it

With continued Queen stupidity and her arrogance, I started avoiding her scenes and it's much better for mental peace.

The episode had some good views, long awaited meetings, turn of tables, great misunderstanding and amazing truthfulness. Baba Voss had less in this one, but it was more of a Political show.

Glad Edo Voss gets to know truth about his lieutenant(Captain now), but how is he gonna use her. Definitely not as bad person but as a blessed commander.

Loved it and can't wait for Queen to die. But I know she won't ever die like a Cat.

Mare of Easttown: Sore Must Be the Storm (2021) Season 1, Episode 6

One of the good episodes but predictable climax

Episode 5 was best of season thanks to rescue of 2 missing girls and sadly death of detective. This episode was expected to be some gratitude for the work Mare did and yes it has been to an extent.

However Erin murder unrelated to girls kidnapping is still pending. This episode turns out give better clues who it was, and it was little predictable due to last scene.

Up until Mare was going to find Billy, who is supposed to be accused murderer of Erin, it was easy.

Then Jess arrives and gives Cheif the picture which reveals, actually nothing but makes sure for the audience that John is trying to frame Billy for Murder and kill him to end the evidence.

Billy has been covering for John all the time and he tried to save Erin(may be). Now seeing John has also packed Gun, he is sure of his death now.

The Flash: The People V. Killer Frost (2021) Season 7, Episode 8

Not enough but up to something now

Undoubtedly the Speed Force behaviour is quite suspicious, in it's ways and how it wants to stick around Flash for literally every time. No doubt that it's using Flash more than Flash is dependent on it.

This episode did give enough clarity for that. Now Flash is against something that wears his mother's face and easily be sentimental.

On other side, we are not gonna have a side support from Killer Frost? Come on.

Chakra (2021)

Could have been a masterpiece then got wasted

Movie started with a bang and high note which later introduces protagonists to lead the story. The digital India, Data Security is highly spoken of, and had so much chance to use it all through the movie, but it wasn't.

Since the antagonist has been revealed, her skills were very underused and just treated like normal villain. She could have played better games with use of her skills but story was never written like that. Direction and Story was big disappointment for 2nd half. Still it's a good for one time watch.

Without Remorse (II) (2021)

Not comparing with Books but It's a good enough watch

Picked #TomClancysWithoutRemorse for a movie night and it didn't disappoint. Keeping aside the legacy of books, this movie is entertainingly action packed. Micheal B Jordan lit the screen up with his presence. Seems director is fascinated by underwater shots.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier: Truth (2021) Season 1, Episode 5

I wish it could be little longer

The advantage of streaming platform web series instead of theatrical release, is to cover more content and character growth. Episode 5 forms a very good stage for creation of new Captain America especially the Black one.

Glad that the story revolves around Falcon and Winter Soldier only in this new episode. On a side lines new character introductions in this episode has opened up lot of opportunities in future.

Unexpectedly Amazing

This series did start on a low expectations mode but hell yeah Episode 4 is such a highlight. Getting Wakandians in the show is no brainier that Zemo is out of prison.

The way John Walker character has been played out, no doubt to say that new Captain America is most hated MCU Character ever. He should put the shield down, doesn't deserve it at all. Serious Jumped to very higher level.

Paava Kadhaigal (2020– )

Sin Stories explored Best

Sudha Kongara using a gem like Kalidas Jayaram, delivers one of the best stories.

Prakash Raj, the best actor every seen working with Brave Unsettling Director like Vetrimaaran sir always gives high hopes and delivers best.

GVM, himself behind the camera and also being as actor, gives us a smooth troublesome journey along with Simran.

Vighnesh Shivan, the chill guy among all, plays around with Dark Humour makes us laugh and think.

Perfect Way to end Season

Beautiful and Perfect way to end the season 2, opening itself to larger universe and storylines. No doubt that this end, opened up 3 very interesting new series in Star Wars franchise linked from this series.

Ludo (2020)

Full on Entertainment

Ludo, the film having multiple stories, 5 to be more on front role, inter twisted with each other right from the beginning till the end, looks like a perfectly written screenplay. Moreover it's a entertaining with all kinds of emotions and pulling leg of some ongoing issues, it doesn't fail to make you laugh till the end.

Ka Pae Ranasingam (2020)

Aishwarya Rajesh Saga

Though the film has Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role, it's more around Aishwarya Rajesh role. Inspired from real story, the film adds so much drama and tragic scenes, where Aishwarya Rajesh excels in every frame. Depicts how a women goes through all the struggle against Government officials and Foreign Country officials to get her Husband Dead Body back for performing final rites. Ariyanachi role demands so much patience, strength and moreover emotional drain. Glad this film receiving as much love it deserves, it also tells us the struggle of villages and youth in other countries.

Kanaa (2018)

Beautiful Film

Very less movies comes out which makes the viewers stop everything and think for sometime. Kanaa is such a film which portrays farmer pain, daughter struggle. Though Aishwarya Rajesh has been worked for 24 films in past, many people doesn't recognise her work in and outside Tamil Film Industry. Kanaa is a film which gets best out of her. She has been perfect choice and impressed so many people with her performance. Satya Raj is so special all through the film and her relationship with his daughter is so lovable to watch.

Dark (2017–2020)

Most overrated Series which is named Sci-fi without any reason

This is most overrated series just became famous for the complicated screenplay and writing work. Overall the story doesn't has any great stuff. Moreover it doesn't indulge into Sci-fi deeper topics and just use them for namesake. Time travel, Quantum Physics have became so common for writers that they can use them to define any stuff that they couldn't. Literally no one talks about how one can create abnormal stuff and use it such effectively. All they cared about is how to confuse viewers with complicated story. Viewers falling into that trap sees it thrilling and exciting. Music and Cinematography has been good enough to keep engaged. Lack of any story makes viewers to skip the last season

Laxmii (2020)

Didn't create any impact as Original

I still remember the days while I have seen the original film, Kanchana 9 Years ago. The perfect mix of Horror, Comedy, Romance, Music, Dance and Drama. The remake version directed by same Director Raghava Lawrence lacks the whole impact the KANCHANA has created. The music was complete downer. No relatable BGM to the scene. A horror scene is presented comical and vice versa. Except for the last song, Akshay Kumar didn't do any great dance moves, neither impressed with the acting skills. However there is one thing that still stood out. That is Sharad Kelkar acting. Brilliant in Laxmii role and suited just perfectly. He stole the show with limited 15 minute part. Kiara is usual, nothing special. Other actors did their part and doesn't work out.

Class of 83 (2004)

Usual Revenge Story of Recent Times

Needed some depth in scenes and characters. 90 minute film wrapped up so quick and it hasn't lasted enough. Happy to see Bobby back. The story has been usual and nothing much. A aged police officer who is haunted by death of his loved ones, takes revenge on gangster after ages. Just that he is aged and superior officer, he uses some young blood.

Why is every revenge story going in same way? And why can't anyone think apart from it. Only best thing of the film is creative recreation of 1980s visuals. Corrupted police and politician games are too boring and usual stuff. Would have rather enjoyed uninterrupted, non deviating dedication of police vs constant return answers from Gangsters.

The Wretched (2019)

Impressed me

Looking at the poster and the set, I expected to be routine horror with some intimate scenes thrown at audience. But it hasn't been the routine horror genre these days. I liked few concepts that put in especially about forgetting the children in their life completely. Never thought it could happen to the main characters itself.

Screenplay convinced the audience from the main character view. But the story need some work to do, especially character development. I don't mind even if few scenes are cut down and used for witch flashback or about the kid. Having the extra depth of why and how, would have provided more interest among the audience.

One thing still mystery to me is how does witch enter the buck while she was in a woman in 1980s. Didn't the witch had any human interaction all this time and needed an animal only? And how come she comes active and leaves without anyone noticing? Only the family might forget about kids but the neighbours, local community, schools would still remember and get intrigued.

A thousand year old witch unnoticed till now at least for that town is fishy.

Lootcase (2020)

Laugh Riot

Movie has a simple story line like anyone can guess. A suitcase game between some strong people and an average man stuck in it. What's new is the dialogues and humour in it. Gajraj Rao as MLA and Vijay Raaz got the most humour apart from the main character played by Kunal Khemu. Ranvir Shorey did his role.

Project Power (2020)

Needed Better Script and Cinematographer

Started because of Casey Neistat and I lost track of time watching these 3 main characters. They were entertaining for sure and did justice to their role. But there should have been more. Action scene in the bar was shot in the worst way possible. Camera inside Chamber didn't show anything interesting of that scene, apart from special effects work. Too easy scenes and poor depth of the scenes.

Lost in Space (2018–2021)

Show is beautiful way of putting family sentiments wandering and getting lost in space. Each character got its own depth especially everyone in Robinson's Family, Don West and Dr.Smith. I wish to see more Robot and Will Robinson scenes than they are making.
