Awful acting by C grade actors at best
30 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
There's a couple of known faces in this movie. I decided to give it a go based on that. Should have checked the reviews and rating.

The story is rubbish. There's a big tornado coming and you get to meet key people in the town first. One is a deaf girl - goof scene is the mother wondering around calling her. She's deaf. Doh

None of the characters draw you in. The reference to the gay son was overkill and not necessary, particularly in this day and age. Anne hech plays the mum. Her voice was weird. Accent too. Horrible performance by her. RIP though.

Overall. Don't do it. It's bad. The acting the story. Couldn't even watch it. Fast forward to the end. No one dies. Pointless.

Ambulance (2022)

Such a let down.
23 October 2022
Had a lot of potential. Jake and other actors. The story is weak. Characters boring. Ambulance girl cam is predictable angry tough girl with attitude. Dan jake is ridiculous and his acting is awful in this waste of time movie.

I couldn't even watch it without fast forwarding. Scenes are overly dramatised. Predictable.

It's not a great movie, bad storyline, videoing is also weird at times with the use of drones gliding down the sides of building. Felt unnecessary and overkill, much like jakes role, typical bank robber movie were they risk it all for some cash all loads of people die. Fast forward to the end which was bad with the ambulance attitude women having some moment. Meh.

Enjoyable watch - eye opening
26 September 2022
This was a wonderful production and account of the impact hurricane Katrina had on New Orleans. Never realised before watching this how bad it was.

The staff at the hospital were in a horrendous unimaginable position. Time was running out. Conditions appalling.

Great cast and acting. Enjoyed to connections with the characters and patients - man that ultimately became victims of Katrina.

It's easy to assume you would know how to behave in a situation like this but it's not until you are faced with it, or something similar that you can judge.

Thought the account and timeline were spot on, location and setup felt real.

Monster (2022–2024)

Evans is amazing; Creepy, chilling account
26 September 2022
Wow. This was disturbing to watch, the story. How sick this guy was from an early age. The signs were all there. His family knew something was not right with him. But never really did anything. I guess what could they. Denial I think the gravity of it.

The apartment he lived in, the way the police didn't care. Didn't respond. Shocking. The smells. The noises. All the calls the neighbour made to 911. They never came. The poor 14 year old boy and his family, who had already been victims of this monster. Trusting young men, taken advantage of.

The victims. Appalling their deaths. Couldn't turn it off. Great acting. Well written and fab cast. Evans is totally believable.

Brilliant series with captivating characters
20 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So we'll written and played out. Some people complained that episode 8 was bad. I didn't think so. It left you to decide if he was guilty. I liked that

The series was a portrayal of each characters experience. Jacob is a moody sullen teenager who lies - pretty accurate. He has a dark side. His dad Andy played by Chris evans in what I think is his best role ever. A deep and complex man shaped by his past. One that you don't find out about straight away. He is faced with the choice of being a good man or a good dad, perhaps abit of both. His father played a great role too, raw and uncompromising. In prison for murder. He admits to being a bad dad, but has he become a better man? In his own way yes, I enjoyed watching his character grow. The mother seems insecure, she needs people around her. So when this happens and she loses friends she struggles to cope, then the constant guilt around her son - is he good or is he bad. She so desperately wants to believe him. As a parent we all want to believe our kids are good. The last episode was her believing he did do it, and that she couldn't live with knowing what he was..

It was a perfect execution of buildup and story with a question at the end. Well done to the writers and directors. It had me gripped the whole time.

Jennifer like you've never seen. Amazing cast
18 July 2022
I'm blown away by this show. How did I go so long without finding it. The cast. The writing. So well done. Jennifer Aniston in her best performance ever, as the selfish shallow Alex who finally discovers the meaning of friendship. Love the tie into the pandemic. Great show. Love Steve Carell in it too.

Good. But after a while it's Groundhog Day ...
4 July 2022
Enjoyed some episodes. But after awhile it's just so repetitive with different characters. They are all so self destructive. Particularly Callie and Brandon. Would have been better if it was less predictable. The new love interests. For teenagers were quite promiscuous, so much sex!! Would have been better with some more twists.

Wow just wow

Don't read anything about it. I didn't. I had no clue it was a surprise that kept me completely intrigued to the end. The acting. The story. Amazing.

Watching it unfold, realising that there was a point to everything, the cinematography. The flashes of what happened. It's been a while since something moved me this much.

Get to the point already

Struggling to get into this. Have been slowly watching it but my attention has wavered on many occasion.

It keeps building to something. But I don't know what and I'm rapidly losing interest.

Something about some creepy beings or spirits in the woods that led to them killing each other or something. Boring. Up to ep6 doubt if I will go much further. The cast is good - that's all.

Totally surprised by season two, then 3
24 October 2021
This show is like a crime novel repeated multiple times. The characters grow on you. The stories continue to evolve. I watched season 1 and my ep 3 I was hooked. Towards the end of the first season I couldn't imagine what season two was going to be like. Assumed another Beck would arrive.

Season two. Wow. Not many series get better over time but this one does!! Totally surprising! Loved it

Roll on season three. I thought I would be able to predict it. But no. It goes off in directions as the characters grow yet remain the same.

Totally hooked on this. Binge watched it over a weekend. Wow. So glad I found it.

Could have been good. But it's sooooo bad
21 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Don't waste your time there are other shows that are better.

Starts out promising but the story goes down hill.

Mother loses son four years old suspect drowning but no body ever found. Then sees a kid 10 years later that looks like him and becomes obsessed.

If you want to know what happens episode 4 last 15 minutes

The brother turns his back on a 4 year old by the water to take a phone call. Kid drowns and conveniently disappears. No body found. Then he drowns ridiculously at the end.

Family fav for us

We all love this series.

The stories, the characters, the way it changes from fighting zombies to fighting humans and back to zombies. Darryl, Michone and of course Rick are my favourite characters.... classic.

Eye opening, heartfelt story
15 August 2021
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed watching this. Always enjoyed Val Kilmer movies over the years, grew up watching him.

He has not had an easy life, his passion for acting and professionalisim for the craft stood out in this documentary.

Val is a deep, connected human - there is much more to this man than one may assume of an american actor. He loves his family, appreciates the small things in life and feels deeply.

The world has lost a truly talented actor due to his throat cancer, such a shame. I would love to meet him, admirable how he still shows up to events with his fans despite his obvious changes.

Watch it. If you enjoyed his movies you will appreciate his story.

It's bad. Such a shame for Kirsten and Dermont

Two good actors with good history. And then this. Gave them one star each for what could have been

This awful predictable movie with bad lines. No real story.

Been there done that with the "nanny" movies. Sigh. I had high hopes. But it was reminiscent of ordering Uber meal only to find they stuffed up your order.

Dan Levy made it for me. Kristin too. But it's crap. Lame and predictable. Sorry. But I would have stopped it had it not been for the two actors above.

So bad. The acting. The story. The predictability. Russell put on all that weight with no hope of an award. It's bad. Don't believe the high reviews - they trying to bump it up.

Its average. Not sure where the 7/10 came from. Started with high hopes but became a tad boring. Watched it, couple of frights, nothing major. Story line could have been improved.

Preferred the Kevin Bacon movie to this.

Funny but awful videography
30 October 2019
The story is funny but I just can't get past the awful filming. The camera shakes around all the time and gives me a headache. If it just stayed still I would concentrate more and enjoy it.

Had to give it only 5 stars. Would have been 7 as the characters are entertaining.

Quirky funny with lovable characters
28 September 2019
Loved this series. I have watched it twice now and enjoyed the second time more. Quirky funny with such cool characters, strong leads which is rare. The humour is dry and "upper class" if that makes sense. They lived sheltered lives then became poor. Living in a dumpy old motel in a crap town. But eventually they grow strong relationships with each other for the first time, which is nice to see. The trouble they get in is entertaining to say the least. And best of all I didn't find it predictable at all! Great writing Dan and Eugene

Entertaining
14 September 2019
Interesting the other reviews as I was entertained by this and thought it was an unpredictable plot. The main character grabs attention and there are lots of questions for the first 4 episodes around what is happening. There are twists and turns and overall I liked it. Thought it was entertaining and enjoyed watching it. If u like thrillers and movies like the island or shows like lost you will like it without losing interest as it drags it out. Throws you a bone right when you need it. Watch it. Great work Netflix

just wow
5 February 2019
I was recommended this as I had run out of shows to watch on Netflix. Reading the plot I wasn't sure and thought it would end leading into the movie but it really is so different.

I watched the first season and was totally hooked. The way Norman's character evolves and "Norma" comes through is quite fascinating to watch. The characters are strong and each one flawed in their own way. Tremendous acting. Freddie and Norma do an amazing believable job, I was blown away by them both. But don't underestimate the power of Dylan's role. He is more in the background but his role is damaged and conflicted just the same, his morals and devotion shines through despite the way he was treated. The sheriff who starts out as a complete ass even ends up being a fav to watch. Another strong male leading role.

I couldn't stop watching this show till it ended. The last 5 mins were a powerful conclusion to a sad, shocking and yet riveting show. The writers producers and directors did amazing. The casting was bang on.

If u like actions drama and thriller in one then give it a go. If u like characters with depth and engrossing story lines then this is for u.

Poor angle's and so dark
21 July 2018
Love Michelle, she is amazing. Was looking forward to watching this. But I couldn't get into it as the setting is just so dark you can hardly see people's faces. Also, the camera angles, people are talking and it seems to be focused on their hair and the back half of their dark head. I felt like I wanted to turn the camera around so I could see. I understand its part of the setting being dark but the camera angles are awful.
