Lying in Wait (2001)
The Worst.
This is quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. Now I have seen a lot of movies, some were B movies some were great Academy Award movies, but nothing that I have ever seen prepared me for the journey that I refer to as Lying in Wait. I have never seen worse acting, not even in my old high school acting classes. Pathetic. If you can seen one movie this year, heck, if you can see 1,000,000 movies this year make sure YOU DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE. Regrets are all that follows. Regrets of lost time and missed opportunities.
The Italian Job (2003)
Edward Norton?
I was not too fond of this movie. It definitely had some good action and the heist scenes were awesome, but c'mon this is not Ed. This movie was a chip off the ol' action block. Nothing unique about it at all. Edward Norton is awesome as a bad guy, but I hate seeing him duped by Mark Wahlburg. It's a disgrace.
Primal Fear (1996)
The king has arrived
Edward Norton? Anyone? Yes he has arrived. Edward Norton is very impressive in this movie. He proves to be the best actor in this film. Norton can play any role and do it well. He's amazing. The movie is pretty good as well, but without Norton it would be bunk. His transformation from Aaron to his alter ego is believable and at the same time not over done. I like it... I like it a lot.
Halloween (1978)
Awful
Slasher flick? I don't think so. This is quite possibly one of the worst horror movies I have ever seen. It takes itself way way way too seriously. C'mon in a slasher flick there has to be some kind of humor. However, in Halloween there is none. It's a disappointment from start to finish with the only high point being the topless girls. Michael Myers is show to be a horrible killer. First, he kills the boyfriend with a large butcher knife and then he walks upstairs and kills the girlfriend with a telephone cord. Pathetic. Why would any killer drop a knife and pick up a telephone cord? The only good thing about this film is that it spawned the Friday the 13th films. Jason would kick Mike's butt any day.
The Exorcist (1973)
Not Very Good
I've heard that the Exorcist is one of the scariest movies of all time. This, I have found, is not true. The only thing that is at all disturbing is when the twelve year old stabs herself in the crotch and when she spouts out dirty phrases. Shock value? I think so.
Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
good movie
Freddy vs Jason is an awesome movie. If you love the Friday the 13th/ Nightmare on Elm Street movies, you will definitely love this movie. The fight scenes are excellent. The acting is that typical of the a Friday the 13th movies, which makes it even better. Could you imagine good acting in one of those movies? It doesn't make sense. I cannot wait for the DVD. It is going to be packed with bonus features. I also cannot wait for the next installment of Freddy vs. Jason, it will be equally entertaining.
