Whatever (1998)
good, true film
I saw this film quite by accident one night on one of the sky movies channels. I wasn't sure about it at the start, but it was one of those films that you start watching not intending to finish watching it, but them get into it. This is what happened with me and in the end i thought it was an excellent movie.
Mr. Stanley was like my maths teacher and the art teacher just like my art teacher; enthusiastic, encouraging, and all round fantastic teacher.
I think the strong leading female character, Anna, was well acted and portrayed very realistically. Both female actresses are very talented and deserve all good that has come out of this film.
Bowling for Columbine (2002)
Wow
What a striking documentary film. I was stunned at the violence it talked about going on in America. Boy, am i glad i live in a country where guns and violence are not such a great problem.
Bowling For Columbine proves just what a major problem guns and violence is becoming in America.
I give this film a 9 out of 10 for poignancy and greatness!
East Is East (1999)
A great laugh
I saw this film a while ago and thought it was genius. I can't believe that some people thought it was meant to be offensive. I think that this was a film which truly makes you sit up, pay attention, and have a barrel full of laughs at the same time.
The arrival of the mosque van and the kids' reaction is hilarious.
If you want to watch a good film and have a good laugh, then this is the one for you!
Mermaids (1990)
Childhood favourite
What can i say, every time i see this film i feel happier. I watched this movie for the first time about 10 years ago when i was really young and liked it then.
So if you want to watch a funny film with a good soundtrack then this is the movie you want to watch.
Beaches (1988)
What a sad'un
This is one of the tear jerking films i have ever seen. I first saw it about 10 years ago, and ever since then, every time i have watched it i cried a little.
The great soundtrack makes the movie even more dramatic and it will stay in my heart as one of my favourite films of all time.
