Best film of the year - Damon and Cast are Terrific
26 June 2023
What a joy to see a film about something for a change - one with an actual plot that doesn't involve comic superheroes or things blowing up. Damon, Affleck, Rock and others deserve heaps of praise for this well craft engaging terrific film. It should be nominated in every major category for oscars in my opinion. Matt Damon is superb in his meaty role and easily is the year's best actor.

You would not think that the film about marketing a product built around a terrific athlete would be so entertaining, but it was.

Viola Davis as Michael Jordan's mom is terrific and has some of the best lines of the year. Chris Rock is also a standout and does some great acting as well.

Ben Affleck is always good but this role was not easy to portray. He and Damon in a film is marketing gold and should sweep every award there is imho.

A lame cash grab
17 October 2021
Better than the last one and not as good as the first one. Very poorly plotted and badly acted. Jamie Lee Curtis love scene in hospital was really bad. Movie was really awful.

Wince inducing, repetitive, odd concert
24 July 2020
The songs are too repetitive, the headjerking dance moves are odd, and the songs are too self involved. All that's truly missing from this carnival act are live moving-in-the-air finger snaps. I find it hard to believe this act filled Radio City Music Hall. The blouse Mr. Platt wears imho is an odd choice too. Some of the songs are ear piercing shrieks and the woo hoohs he does are wince inducing. The one he sang to his dad was good though.

Invisible plot makes no sense
27 May 2020
Please save your 2 dollar rental fee...this movie is that bad. Murky black dark beginning in which you cannot make ou faces or forms because it's so badly filmed and lit. This rates as one of the worst invisible man movies ever made. There are only a couple of fairly interesting moments and the rest of the film is undercut by poor plotting, ridiculous things happening, and the lamest ending of a modern film ever made. Surprise, this film is not even worth a $2 rental.

Unexpectedly entertaining
16 April 2020
A down and out trumpet player meets an angel or is she? Bill Murray is a menacing baddy in this one and is good. Rourke fans will be mesmerized. Odd name for this film though. Roll with its slice of the lowlife and be taken away by its ending which quite literally soars.

Confusing and boring
9 February 2020
I fell asleep 3x during this film. Boring and confusing. Stallone swears in it and most of it is filmed in the dark. In my uhd hdr copy the asian actors appeared green...just awful. Plotless and dumb.

Who knew Stallone was funny?
9 February 2020
This is a light romp and Anthony Quinn was great in it too. Stallone and his costar are funny too. Keep in mind it's a light comedy and a gangster bodyguard film and you will be all set.

Martial arts goodness plus Stallone...yay.
9 February 2020
Stallone fans should not be too dissatisfied with this fun entertaining film. He is still a huge force even in voice over and the costars are fun and engaging too. The asians stars are exceptional so ignore the reviews...this was fun.

I fell asleep 5x watching it
1 February 2020
All the bad reviews are true. The story is a joke and the action scenes so badly lit I had to lower the resolution on my tv to watch them.

Boring with too much violence
18 May 2019
This movie was boring, nearly plotless, overly violent and the worst of the 3 Wick films. Angelica Houston and the 3 dogs in the film were the only reason to see this dud.

Anachronistic silly bore
21 November 2018
Other unknowns should have been cast in every role in this odd film. There is nothing I liked about it or found memorable. I kept wondering if Guy Ritchie had secretly directed this mess.

Nothing of value here to waste your time or money on
20 October 2018
I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this film which actually was so boring and lame that a friend sitting next to me fell asleep. I have seen all of the sequels and this is the worst. There is nothing of entertainment value or scary about this sequel other than the fact that I actually paid money for it.

Nearly garbage except for committed actors
11 September 2018
I watched most of this silly stupid boring film and finally turned it off. Actors in it were committed and the rest of the crew should be committed for conceiving of this waste of celluloid about mentally unstable oddballs.

Director and star at top of their game in a worthy sequel that far surpasses the great original they made previously. Great action, acting, settings, and production values.

Well done and well acted.

The parental guide specifics about male body parts are way off and untrue. The film has some brutal prison scenes and does not shrink back from showing what happens to those who try to escape from prison but overall was worth viewing. I never saw the original film. I was glad I saw this one. The two leads are awesome.

One of the finest God-honoring films my family has ever seen!
19 January 2016
Recently my family watched Dolly Parton's stupendous "Coat of Many Colors" and though I have long been a fan of her music and movies, I felt she/her company have crafted one of the best God-honoring films ever offered on national television! There were parts I am not ashamed to tell you that made this grown man tear up a little. Everyone in the movie is excellent and values such as forgiveness, love, faith during difficult and joyous times (perseverance), and the power of redemption, abiding faith in God, and the focused love of family that is centered upon surrendering ultimately not to one another but to God Almighty - all came shining through this wonderful film.

Years ago I reached one of Dolly Parton's songwriters almost by accident on the phone when seeking permission to seek on of her songs "Make Love Work" in church. I was given permission and sang the song subsequently. That Sunday I left church and (riding high on the words that suggested "...we've got to try a little bit harder to make love work") - briefly reunited with my own estranged parents. I mention this as I recalled the occasion and singing the song while watching the story of Dolly's family and their strong faith and her God-given talents in "Coat of Many Colors". To all who were involved in this film - it will long remain with me and my entire family was grateful to see a true gem that sparkled on national TV with the values we hold most dear to us - especially the one that holds a vital faith in God focused clearly right up front. Thank you for all those involved....and Dolly...May God continue to bless you and use you for His glory. I hope you make Part 2 soon and share more of your life and faith. Terrific scenery/sets, acting, plot, dialogue, and a clear Godly focus made this movie terrific. It truly blessed my family. Thanks Dolly (and others).

Glad it was made.. needed improvements
25 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I am glad that Christian films are being made in Hollywood. Someone needs to take greater care that the message and the Scriptures quoted have some exposition. If you begin with a quote from James, it is best to make sure that the film uses that Scripture effectively and clearly. This movie pulls together too many characters and ends with yet another accident. Let us hope that more films will be made that cohesively and clearly share the Gospel message. If I had been the producer or director of this film I would have featured a story that revolved around and had as its focal point the little girl and her mom living out of their car. Also please be warned that there are violent scenes with what might best be described as thugs.

Impossibly Boring with No Plot
17 December 2011
This film is boring right from the pathetic title sequence and never resembles the original TV series ever. Apart from a couple of nice IMAX scenes of Dubai, it is so not worth the additional price to see it at IMAX, or any theater. Definitely wait for a video rental on this one. Also, I actually sorta liked the 2nd and 3rd one but this film has an almost non-existent plot. Come to think about it, what were the other two films even about, do you remember? You will forget this film except for one or two silly scenes involving weather and high places. I would have been more excited by character development and an actual story but I guess that's just an impossible mission to pull off these days when moviegoers seem to be entertained by special effects and glitz. By the way, I kept expecting Daniel Craig to show up and introduce himself as 007. This film is Bond VERY light!
