I saw this movie on a rainy afternoon a few months back - Loved the Madame Lavinia character and I really enjoy this kind of anthology movie. Different stories with a similar theme " actions have consequences " ! This is the second installment and I do think it s better than the first Midnight montage , the stories flowed and each one took you on a cute, scary little journey . All in all the acting was very good for a lower budget movie , the cinematography and music scores were all great . Break out the popcorn or wine and catch this little gem on Tubi , also this movie should be considered teen friendly , not too much gore .

An interesting dive into the comedy creature feature genre. Mating Season is a movie that effortlessly mutates into something like "The fly " meets "Airplane " . I really enjoyed it , possibly more so as the movie went on. Apparently even lower budget B movies can deliver hilariously driven character roles, subtle plot twists and turns that ultimately deliver a wonderful feeling of satisfaction for the viewer. It's a courageous little gem that even in its unashamedly cheesy moments wins the audience over without offering any apologies. Well worth watching for those of us who still enjoy a good old , Creature romping stomping comedy that we all willingly buy into. Bravo for this comedic breath of fresh air !!

I think it was a shame that the story didn't follow through more . Some nice acting and interesting scenes but ultimately we had no moments of closure or a feeling of enlightenment. The film staggered along as I waited for " something major " to happen . Again , nice atmosphere , photography and the acting was solid but we have to have more .

I was very disappointed in the movie ; the acting was sub par I thought , did not like the one shot camera direction , lost creative opportunities I think . Seemed like a good story but we never saw the struggle and the obstacles , the character just meandered into half baked scenes that seemed rushed or not thought out . The lack of substance in the scenes and lack of honesty / intimacy with the characters left me feeling the movie was shallow and redundant . Not sure what everyone else saw in this movie , nothing on " Saving P. Ryan " .

Oh dear , I want to know what happened in the production of this movie ? Did the budget run over , the time constraints of the two " A " list actors cause problems in scheduling ? Did Q.T change the story half way through ? , Something happened for sure . Two hours into this movie the audience in the theater are looking at each other trying to understand why they are enduring scene after scene of nothingness and then the .... the ending ! I would have liked to see a climactic ending of Bruce lee , kurt Russell , D'caprio and Pitt fighting it out with the manson family . I guess he never thought of that , am a huge fan of Q.T movies and really looked forward to this movie, but ....
Thought it was a mistake to cast B.Pitt and Leonardo together , its not like Q.T to cast 2 " A " list actors . As the movie progressed I felt like Quentin was the chauffeur driving us down dead ends time after time . . Scene after scene , no tension , no plot unfolding , no friction , Yes the ending was great and yeah leonardo had a few great scenes , but put me in a 3 hour movie and i may have a good scene too . Too little happened , Quentin failed to hold my attention , very disappointing . I'm now wondering did Tarantino reference the death on the boat to mr Robert Wagners true life Crime ?

A tight little Horror story

I really enjoyed this movie and watched it on Amazon . After ten minutes into the movie , it slowly pulls you in with some nice camera work and storyline . Not a large cast , but all work very well together building the plot and suspense as they go . The victim guy was great and wast perfectly , Todd and his " friend " bounced off each other leading the viewer feeling like we were in control and knew where it was going . You do not ! Overall , Lou Simon's best work today , hope she continues to produce work of this quality .

Good campy horror fun .

Good old fun mixed in with a creepy story line combine to create a campy horror story set in the beautiful surroundings of a sleepy Florida town . I enjoyed it ! Some interesting characters emerge from the local town and from the lake !!! Catch this one if you can , definitely looking forward to a sequel .

As I progressed through this movie I was caught off guard by some very ugly scenes . I knew the subject of incest could be awkward and harrowing but this movie seemed to celebrate and languish in the acts . The bleak landscape was only matched by the not so great murmurings of Mr Winstone . The movie did not touch on the perpetrators reasons or history ,etc for doing such things but rather made victims of its viewers ; forcing us to participate/ witness these horrific acts . It wasn't a " deep " movie with complicated , captivating characters or story lines , It was an irresponsible , irrelevant piece of movie making that limped on to find a story to tell. Next time Tim Roth feels like producing something like this , he should remember he's in the " entertainment " industry . A horrible movie that should never have been made .

Firstly , I would say James Woods was totally mis-cast in this movie . I always enjoy Mr Woods in movies but this was not his to own . He couldn't pull it off in the aggressive , madman scenes that required the actor to lose it . Carl Panzram was unique , maybe an unknown actor with nothing to lose would have been better suited . I was never afraid of Woods ! Not at any moment , I don't think the guards were either . In fact , he was kind of an o.k guy , Carl on the other hand would have made you feel very " uneasy " . The director humanized Carl too much , we never really felt his anger , isolation , resentment or his selfishness . We just saw mr woods trying to be a rebel without a cause . To tell this story , every morning Mr Woods should have stripped bare and let the cast throw their "do do " at him and shout " action " .
