Drama. Crime. Family.
30 March 2021
This show is nothing what I expected to see when I started watching it, I was soon hooked.

It's well written drama and characters played by an amazing cast.

There are many different layers of stories happening at the same time. This series begins with you following a young man who tragically loses his mom to the fight against drugs. He seeks out his grandmother and uncles to live with and is very quickly pulled into their world, a family who has built their lives around crime. Is them doing the next job is what keeps this family together? Or pulling them apart even more? Can they all build their own lives without having to resort to criminal activities?

Watch. And find out.

Non-stop Action. Romance. Sci-Fi. Comedy.
17 March 2021
You may need some patience when watching this series because it feels like it gets more and more extreme each season and then it ends.

It's somewhat predictable in some cases of romantic love storylines. But the one that actually matters in the series... I loved! And Ship! ( if you choose to watch you will know who I'm talking about ... eventually)

I felt this series was a bit... non-stop. Meaning... that Ward character needs to STOP! But he doesn't! The crew never seems to have a break...and I mean - ever! They don't ever seem to get a chance to go potty breaks, shower, or even eat. And even if they get the chance to... something is bound to happen and they need to go - go - go. Save a person - save the city - save the organization- save the world- save themselves. There's always something to save.

There are moments that may lead you to keep watching. Roll your eyes. Shed a tear. Laugh. Gasp. Fall in love with Coulson.

Ghosts. Friendship. Family.
17 March 2021
This anime series is perhaps one of my favorites. It is beautifully animated. Light and airy feel and a delight to watch. It is not an action packed anime but one with an interesting storyline where you slowly learn to fall in love with the main character, because they are just an all around good person. There is some action in this series.

This story follows a boy who can see ghosts, and stumbles onto a book he inherits from his grandmother. Who also had the ability to see ghosts. This book has the names of all the ghosts his grandmother had 'claimed' and one by one the boy meets these spirits. Many who mistaken him for his grandmother. You watch and learn the story of each spirit and you also not only learn about the boys own story- but you learn about his grandmother through the spirits. One spirit - who claims himself to be 'godly' embodies the statue of a lucky cat - comes to life as a real cat with the abilities to transform to a larger being. He chooses to protect the boy, claiming he's only doing so to snatch the book of names. Through the series though- it comes to show that this cat may be choosing to protect the boy for other reasons. The relationship between the two is filled with comedic situations that are sure to make you smile, and other situations that may leave your heart a little warmed.

Though the boy is an orphan.. the family that he obtains in his life are those that choose to be his.

Beautifully animated and written. Comedy. Self-Realization.
15 March 2021
I had more than a few people referring this film to me and I'll be honest I had no idea what they were talking about. But they were not wrong. This is an amazing addition story to the Spider-Man Universe.

This story follows a talented and smart young man who is attending a new school, with new peers and environment and is coincidentally also finds himself becoming a 'Spider-Man'. And you watch a boy come into his own while his world starts to literally - unravel.

The visuals in this movie is beautiful and the music is perfectly scored. There is however a slight annoyance I found myself disliking in this film and it has to do with the trying to blend different animation type characters onto one specific type of animation. It was just a little off. Perhaps this was purposely done with the intent to show that these characters don't belong, but a part of me feels like it could have been better.

I would give this 9.5 if I could. But I can't

Ghosts. Reapers. Love. Strange Entanglement of Lives
13 March 2021
This series follows a woman who can see ghosts. Most of her life she feared her ability, but when she tries to save lives, her abilities begin to interfere with reapers waiting to take the souls of those she tries to save. And she also begins to unravel mysteries behind a dark past - like a childhood crush/love and what happened to him? What was the truth behind her fathers death? And the sorted relationship she has with her mother.

This is perhaps one of the best series I've watched with an intricate story line that does very well at playing things out ...It is almost perfect... until the end.

It left me scratching my head and felt at the very end it just didn't make sense. As if they fired the writer that had the perfect ending and they took it with them when they left leaving the replacement writer just filled in the blanks. Don't be surprised if the very last episode leaves you leaving jaw dropped and wondering ... why?!

Waste Your Time with. Gossip. Sexism. Beautiful Aristocrats. Love. Sex. Mystery.
12 March 2021
I quite enjoyed watching this series and I'll tell you why! Trying to figure out who is author of the gossip paper. I didn't bother myself with the color of the cast. But the talent is there. It is NOT an American Historical piece. It does not even take place in America. Take joy in watching this series for pure enjoyment of fantastical entertainment. How gossip gossip gossip kept life interesting in a time where there was no radio, tv, and computers. How women were to look pretty, and how a man can easily ruin a woman's dignity or even her family name. How a man could be a gentlemen or be a crazy spoiled hissy footer (when you watch the series you'll know who I am talking about). I didn't LOVE how this series was written as some of these teenage characters, though of aristocrats, seemed to lack a certain amount of sex education. But I don't know how much education these girls were even allowed to have back then...so... let's move on.

If you choose to watch this series, you'll notice that some of the music during their many 'balls' through out - there are actually modern songs played classically and it was something I quite enjoyed when heard.

If you have time to waste, and you want to be swept away into an era of aristocrats and noblemen and women, gossip and sex. you can waste it on this. Follow to the story of an girl in an aristocratic family looking to give her hand away in the search for a husband. Finding love in a predictable way. A gossip paper spreads news around the town which spoils the name of a number aristocratic families, so much so that even Queen wants to know who the author of this gossip paper is.

Adventure. Action. Mystery
12 March 2021
The adventure is following this story of a boy and unravel his secret and mystery as he lives in a town surrounded by walls to keep Titans out. Not only does the boy have a secret. So does the town he grows to choose to defend as a soldier.

There is action that is pretty intense. This anime is not for those who are looking for a lovely light story. This series has a very raw feel and is gruesome at times to watch. But there is suspense that keeps you holding on and a mystery that needs solving.

The animation is beautiful. The storyline is pretty direct and simple.

A little magical girl who is also a goldfish wants to be human because she fell in love with a human boy.

But there are obstacles that stand in the way. Like a crazy parent. And love is never easy for magical beings. But love always finds a way.

This anime is different in a lot of ways. The music is hip-hop than the traditional anime background music. The main characters are brash and boldly different from one another. Through out the series the characters are drawn into situations and events, creating an interesting twist on number of different historic events within this series which will make you wonder and even look up what really happened...

Follow a trio of strangers that form a friendship as they quest to find a samurai that smells of sunflowers.

Are you watching? or seeing through his POV?
6 March 2021
Don't go into this moving expecting a lot of action. But just because it's not an action movie like Batman - doesn't mean it's not worth the watch.

This is the origin story of this super-villain. And as you follow his life, you may find yourself asking if you're watching what is really unfolding or are you seeing his life through his point of view. And after this movie you may just have more questions than answers.

It may leave you feeling sad with a twisted view of a twisted man who isn't seeing straight at all.

It's a beautiful movie that was created to keep you thinking.

Heartache, Superpowers and Mystery
6 March 2021
Although the start of this series will leave you scratching your head.. but as you watch - and if you're a marvel fan and have watched and followed all the movies to date, you'll see familiar faces.

Watch along and follow the unraveling of a mystery behind this show. You may also feel for Wanda if you yourself has also ever grieved for a lost loved one. Sometimes when you've greatly lost someone you love, you would also wish you had the ability to retreat into a fantasy world where they were still alive.

But not everything is as it seems in this town, and mystery always build good plots. Especially in a series where people have superpowers.

The creators of this show missed something
2 February 2021
There's a lot that you will find confusing when you start off watching this show - because no one is really introduced to the viewers. I'm not a Singaporean local and I don't know who and why anyone should care about any of the people this show follows. And that was what the creator or producer or whoever cuts this show together missed. There should have been better intros so the viewers are meeting new friends but this show makes you feel like you're just a voyeur in these strangers lives. You just begin to follow people who's name flashes across the screen and you just have to watch and figure out for yourself who they really are, what they do and etc. I had to Google some people as I watched because even the show doesn't even show anyone but a few of them actually working on screen. There is too much left out to make you feel really invested to care about some of these peoples outcomes. This show does reveal the many different dynamics of people that exist in the world, especially in this one group of friends. Where each is in a different stage of their lives pursing and achieving different goals but celebrating them together. I was however pulled in by this show because of the truths this show does reveal. The mental difficulties Asian adults / young adults face and constantly struggle with when it comes to becoming your own and breaking traditions in culture.
