Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
Great Jurassic Fun!
Absolutely loved this movie! Great fun to see with your kids and felt so good to see the original cast again. Lots of tongue-in-cheek references for those of us who know the first ones by heart. Now It's not perfect, but then it isn't meant to be! Watch it for the fun, the action, the magnificent dinosaurs and brilliant chemistry between the cast members. Don't forget the popcorn.
Above Us the Waves (1955)
Entertaining, but lacks depth (pun intended).
Watched it because I just read the book "Above us the waves" by CET Warren and James Benson. If this period and submarine technology interests you, I highly recommend the book. The first chapters especially, portray the incredible hardships and courage involved in the development of the midget submarines and the human torpedos.
The film doesn´t quite capture this, but it is intersting to see the equipment in action. Would have been nice to have a more detailed account of the men who died in the training and develpment phase, and an more detailed account of the escape to Sweden after the first attempt. Still, an entertaining war film.
The Kitchen (2019)
Empowering and entertaining.
Absolutely loved it! Powerhouse performances from the MCcarthy, Moss and Haddish as expected. Very satisfying to se a movie in this genre, set in the macho 70's, with women ruling the game. Will definately watch again.
Þorsti (2019)
A must-see masterpiece!
This is the most perfect film ever! A true masterpiece for the connoiseur of great cinema. You cannot claim to know Nordic-Noir without seeing this beauty. Bravo!
