People have lost their sense of humour
15 August 2021
Honestly I read these reviews and laugh the hate people throw out has nothing to do with the movie, it's just shallow rubbish. They all get accounts on IMDb and think they're experts on casting, writing etc

This is a comedy action film can get a little daft but it is just a fun escape, I love RR but do notice he's the same here as literally every role since the pizza place, just love the dude, brings hours of entertainment with everything he does. Hayek is always fun, I'm not a Jackson fan, he's OK, but find him a bit dull and just so unthreataning for tough guy roles.

You know when you see something or someone and it makes you remember happy times, when I saw eoin mclove as the garda I loved it, this show is exceptional and I'm hoping for one last movie atleast as sounds like the pandemic killed season 4 it'd be such a shame, its a heartwarming beautiful natural comedy. This generations father Ted.

Loved it
9 July 2021
This along with moana and coco are my favourites, excited for the Colombian film later this year, I thought this was excellent, beautiful animation and great characters. Can't fault it at all, I'm a mid thirties action horror fan so I'm not target audience either, absolutely love this movie. If you fancy two non Disney Asian gems then abominable and over the moon are two other too films.

Awesome little movie
5 November 2020
First few minutes I thought this looked another cheap terrible indie horror but turned out to be really good, great acting, really relatable cast and great music, peck was strangely endearing to but bar a bit of camera stuff the film was thoroughly enjoyable. Only thing is continuity has to be looked at in these films but it's forgivable if as entertaining as this

Ignore the nostalgic dopes
28 October 2020
Honestly 1* reviews are idiotic it anyone says this is the worst thing they've ever watched they have had an easy life, I'm all for nostalgia and old movies being ruined I get that but to act so stupidly to bombard a film with 1/10 is dumb. I'd respect 3/4/5 with valid reasons but its just people crying over a book and thirty year old film.

The film is good it's entertaining goes quickly, well acted and good cgi, the accents are a bit off but Anne hath away is great in this people seem to give her unfair hate. Honestly watch it, it's not perfect but it's a good enough film in its own merit

Wont be a big review I love this, easy to watch funny and feel good, no agendas just daft fun and actually new kinds of stories comedy.

The only real downpoints were devin and Collins leaving, the random new girl in season two leaving and how they turned grace into a dumb psychotic weirdo in season two for no reason or it'd be a ten

Ted Lasso: The Hope That Kills You (2020)

Surprisingly clever ending.
8 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
My one main critique was the football and stadium stuff didn't look great and continuity and realism didn't feel important. I think the stadium stuff is OK as long as football logic is there to. This show will appeal to anyone but I'm glad it's not at the expense of football. Its inclusive for everyone.

I didn't see a sad ending, I saw a team rightly relegated and showed great human qualities, dropping down gives Roy another season to I hope. I actually think this can work wonders as if they're getting positive results I'm really curious how they can add the layers to create the level of emotion in this season.

It's not perfect but it's not far off. There's alot you can learn from this show that goes beyond entertainment and its a lesson alot of people need.

I feel so bad for Americans
5 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This show us really entertaining I'd give it 8 overall some episodes perfect others not that strong. I'm so tired of the inept alcholholic druggie police guys who are constantly portrayed, I mean this guy is an idiot, he's drugged and threatened murder on one witness, screwed another, probably not got warrants for bugs, constant entrapment, ignoring attempted murder just goes on and on, in a show you hate people mostly when they're playing the part we'll, he just isn't, comes across terribly, intimidating as a pillow, lying to lawyers about being a snitch, honestly ridiculous that if people spoke the case would be dead.

Bateman and Ruth save this show by constantly delivering top performances, I fell Rachel, Charlotte and Darlene are really poorly thought out characters who are just one extreme to another based on story needs, plus I'm sorry but Wendy again is a dreadful actress from looks not fitting in to the arrogance and self rightcious attitude.

Can use the women to sum up this shows the sublime to terrible
3 October 2020
This show is really good, it's easy to say like breaking bad years after that show but it isnt on that level at all. Style is similar but other than that it's a good show but not top tier. I'm going to use 5 women characters to sum up my likes and frustrations, I feel the men are all generic but good acting except the priest other than that decent enough, Bateman is great but the women characters have in my opinion not been as well put together. I'm up to half way through 2 so could change

1) Ruth. She's easily the best character in the show, best actor, best arc and just perfectly put together can't be any more positive for her but that for me is where it ends.

2) Darlene is super frustrating and can't understand any self respecting drug kingpin be whipped by a delusional psycho, every time she speaks I just felt like shouting shut up. I get her background but for me the logic doesn't add up, I get respect the wife but her being so wreckless is ludicrous

3) Rachel. She seemed a good person. Good ethics, nice and genuine, even understand why she stole, a failing business that would likely be ruined by a launderer so fled with compo. But to have her return as a druggie loser messed up desperate and with no character sucked, felt forced for the story. They needed to show more decline for this to work

4) Charlotte I get is a kid but for those moments of maturity and loyalty to her dad to then steal of them, constantly break rules, do drugs and not understand or respect the danger even after seeing someone die is just poor, I get saying she's a kid but seems more lazy writing.

5) the absolute worse in this whole show is Wendy, she is arrogant, the scenes aiming to make her look like some master tactician makes me laugh, she's so fake and disingenuous any person should see through her, she is selfish, narcissistic and rotten, her cheating was bad but to keep acting like a victim is laughable, easily the worst character and performance. Everything is written OK but her delivery and presentation is bad, she looks way to old and trung to act like men would desperately want her in bed is pathetic, she's not ugly but jesus she's nothing special, men never moan but tired of men being portrayed as sex pests. Ridiculous. That whole office scene was cringe and embarrassing.

Only worse thing is petty, I mean to sleep with a witness for a confession isn't legal, it wouldn't be admisable, he looks like a desperate moron not a good cop, found him and Wendy to be the two big let downs.

The dad of Ruth is a bit too predictable, not enjoyed his performance either. Despite the negatives it's an entertaining show with more good than bad.

Only other flaw, worst music choices in any show I've seen, rarely fit the tone or style of the show

No idea
1 October 2020
So this episode, the Christmas one and one in season 3 were removed for various reasons but main one being blackface. Racism is wrong, but a joke in a sketch show done with no offence intended shouldn't be edited out this world, I mean Tracey White faced many times but that's OK. It's one thing being nasty and rasist which is pathetic but going ott and not even being able to accept inoffensive jokes is a shame. I'd guess 99% wouldn't be offended yet we always pander to the 1%

It's just OK, nothing really special
27 September 2020
The music is the only thing that differentiates this from the other billion mid 30s woman who's life's messed up available on TV, bar kimmy and zoeys extraordinary play list, I can't think of many musical shows, some of the songs are funny, averagely catchy but nothing special, in series one there's literally a song explaining a dad not wanting to hump his kid. Is that clever or just too much.

Anyway the show is OK, it does nothing badly but nothing well, the huge problem is the casting, whilst they all perform well none are ones your really going to care about, I mean im 3 series deep and still struggle with names they're that replaceable.

Truthfully I've seen a few instances where a talented writer pushes herself as the lead, in the awkward pen15 this for me isn't a role that suits her, she's mildly attractive, far too much attention on her breasts which is bad considering she wrote it. The chemistry isn't great and they don't look right as a couple at all. She's obviously talented but even at only 33 looks too old, she just for me wasn't the right choice. Emelia Clarke, or even a zooey would've suited better. She has every right to star but for me she doesn't work with josh. Whichever you chose to replace the couple need way more in common, to make a connection remotely believable

Shout out to carol
24 September 2020
It's a great show really funny and real shame it got cancelled when netflix let's some rotten stuff get 3/4 series.

But I'm only reviewing as a special shout out to the lady who played Carol, I don't think being a women in comedy is easy, but I think being genuinely funny as an older female is a real ask and not one I've seen done especially well, some obviously nail it but often it feels very forced, Carol is an absolute star. We all need a Carol in our life. Only criticism is although I liked him more in this I find that blonde British guy so annoyingly one dimensional, he's the same in kimmy and other shows, just find him to be severely hard to enjoy

Unbelievable Jeff
24 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the original character when he visited Tottenham a few years back for something and whilst funny I found the clueless American shtick a bit dull and played out so when I saw a show I wasn't overly optimistic but I was so wrong.

For a plot technically so shallow as lovers revenge and a clueless coach this is superbly written, the cast are absolute phenomenons, from relationships you route for to one's your sad about ending you just genuinely care for each and every character, I loved the scene with Sam and Rebecca thought she is brilliant, although on episode 9 I don't see her fully thawing out just yet as I think a second season could need her still being an enemy. I think the moments are done right, plus the continual desire to hurt that horrible guy is justified to, granted its frustrating as its clear she's nice but who hasn't seemed revenge.

Keeley ironically made me think of the page 3 model who ironically is the young Rebecca. I loved superbob in this, his dry angry humour is just great, its the least annoying I've found the kit guy two, his speech moment was great.

Sudekis is great in this. I've been up and down on his movies some are funny some I feel he tries too hard but his endearing smile and optimistic outlook was so well done especially with a failing marriage.

My only one bit of negative feeling and it sounds stupid I had my head set on when she found out he baked the cookies that'd be what melted her completely but it just was in and out as a passing comment.

Perfectly done comedy and after years of football shows either being tacky sex dramas or comedies that are flat and dull this absolutely smashed it out of the park (pun intended)

This isn't a British comedy
24 September 2020
I read a few reviews, this is not a British comedy, it's set in England but its not British. Its just absolute trash by an arrogant narcacistic women with a superiority complex.

The extras and cast push it up to a two, the daughter in particular was a very good performance, they've obviously styled it to look British but for a country who made only fools, dad's army, even my family or miranda this is not something we'd want to own or associate with our top sitcoms.

The story actually isn't bad, the ideas, cast, bar some over the top things like the boy band stuff it was actually an interesting dynamic in terms of certain twists on the common played out sitcom tropes.

The problem is obviously Katherine Ryan, she's the worst type of woman, she's overly loud in support of women's rights etc but is so obnoewith it she'd so more harm than good, the swearing, erotic art to the constant vegan references she's not into equality or female empowerment, she just wants you to know she's better than you. From the ridiculous outfits to the thought any self respecting nan would forgive her awful behaviour is ridiculous. The delusion that her mistakes are minor are so stupid I can't understand why someone would write themselves as this unless they're oblivious to what a moron they are. The last bit when the Dr shattered the little girls view on her dad, obviously written to make her look a bada55 saviour mother but really the Dr was trying to save an intelligent girl from two awful human beings. She may have looked a good mom in parts but to me it was an unhealthy relationship with no bounderies.

To have a face so surgically altered to then think acting is an idea is hilarious, her face is incapable of showing emotion its awful, plus to write in scenes like viewers would find her remotely appealing is just off.

The woman is so arrogant to have written this awful show that the only people who could possibly like it are ones who just get off on foul language and smut. This best not get another season, I get women power and I fully support it but pick a better representative than this absolute fool

Writing was abysmal this season, that final fight was ridiculous how no one got shot,500vs 7 in an open field for god sake. adding more characters won't fix this, get rid of elen page ASAP and just get back to what made series one a great show. Too convaluted and too much political and racial sexism nonsense for a superhero show can't we avoid this kinda message now

Don't get it
1 August 2020
Don't get what they're trying to achieve. It's slow, boring, characters have such little dialogue it's all over the place, the three blondes are stupid characters, no presence on screen, just watching it but struggling to know why, loved the first series but the first two episodes feel really arrogant, poorly put together with average cgi. Hopefully picks up and stops hiding behind catchy soundtracks and actually make an episode interesting for the whole 45

Awesome. Genuine feel good cheese.
29 June 2020
Let's be real most who dislike eurovision will dislike this film or won't separate it to enjoy it. Which is a shame. Great acting. Music and locational settings.

Cast were great. This worked cus ferrell wasn't overbearing and his humour in spurts works so much better especially with the Americans and demi lovato. Having all the branding helped solidify it. It's also a rare event USA making a film specialising in and around British TV which was nice. I enjoyed how the accents slipped from time to time to, just made it endearing.

Was a good watch cheesy as hell and makes up for no contest this year, was utterly brilliant, two hours flew by. Comedy, a genuine romance that you cared about, great characters, beautiful settings and just a top film

The only two points that knocked it down to a 9 was not having a female lead who could sing, I loved her performance but just a preference and the other was with the fixation and mention of elves, to only get a door slam and no visual was a missed bit. If anything for merch.

Next new film worth a watch, King of Staten Island

And so ends the worst series ever
28 June 2020
OK there's so much talk with this season. Supposedly no one wanted a spin off, etc blah blah blah.

Fact is scrubs died at end of season 6, although 7 was OK it's a disjointed mess. Out of order and clear the creator had no respect to even sort it out for dvd sales. Season 8 was really bad, acting was poor. Characters mostly lost all their charm and just phoned it in.

This season is so pathetic, ruined Dr Cox aura. Just had jd and turk act the same and hope people will just enjoy it, fast track the promising Denise character and ruin her to.

That Lucy is just literally trying to be jd and elliot and failing as both. What even is this new hospital, why would carla elliot and others not be there. Its just really odd how Todd is. Then cameos by Ted and Gooch, it's just a surreal watch it's just so bad even Ted falls flat (rip, you were my favourite) Kelso is OK. They should've kept sunny. Howie and that class as every new one is trash. I mean where's Derek. Just everything blows, drew Lucy Australian girl are the worst actors ive ever witnessed, and I don't think I've hated or wanted to kill any TV character like Francis Cole. It's pathetically written and awfully acted. The dialogue is dead no wit no nothing,.

Slap in the face to the original, the only sad point was janitor leaving

Don't get the likes for this.
11 May 2020
I was really excited for this sounded and looked my kinda show. I like reality based shows. But for me this just wasn't any genre. It wasn't funny, most characters in it aren't particularly likeable and also I kinda felt that they didn't even seem like people I'd root for to have kids. Jason seemed very real, I thought his portrayal was really natural but nicki I thought was awful, I think she's a brummy but in cuckoo she was bearable. A downgrade in the show. Her accent was just irritating. Her acting was just a bit meh. She's not really easy to like, seemed one of those control freaks who were fake nice and just not great. The rest of the characters were just OK, weren't really that engaging and seemed a waste of talented actors.

Some bits were amusing but none laugh out loud, I genuinely don't think this has the quality to succeed. The dynamic is off and such very little chemistry, I found it just watchable but not entertaining.

I'd give it a miss. I don't know if it was the actors or script but it just didn't work

Tiger King (2020–2021)

Amazing in a show a message can get lost
20 April 2020
I'm on the fence with captive animals, pets are technically just that but for me if they're loved care for and adequately looked after then I'd rather they still exist than be wiped out. I see the arguments for the wild but in parts of the world its just not that glorious dream with poachers etc. I can imagine if its all a tiger or lion has known they'd be as happy as a domestic cat is. Surely can't miss what you don't know, the wild is int genetics.

These three are cartoon characters. Joe weirdly is semi likable but I assume you're not always seeing the real him, the other two are themselves in a delusional world. Doc is probably a cult leader so maybe the worst by definition but for me the hypocrisy of that carol is hilarious, killed her husband, has a cult she doesn't pay so worse than doc, has worse conditions than Joe yet preaches and uses charity money on legal costs based on childish hate. She seems a character so devoid of responsibility and morals she just has this awful delusional life thinking she's mother Theresa. For me it's hard to care about anything but the animals, plus wonder how this country can be a world power, backwards and dangerous.

Enjoyable for what it is though. Car crash tv at its best. Its no David Attenborough but if he ever did crack and started smacking wallabies with a rolled up newspaper that's the level of absurd you're looking at

Please stop being sheep
19 April 2020
Please stop acting like your all fans of everything old, bet half the reviews weren't even off people alive back then, see new isn't always better it can just be different, take lion King, the original was perfect and the new one to me is awful but it's loved by a new generation. So I don't hate it it's just not for me. But the endless crusade to hate and slander kill off franchises and series people could enjoy just because you don't why can't they? I bet most reviewers only post negative stuff as that's today's attitude but for me this was a decent film, good twist, interesting characters and definitely not bad. Yet it sits on 46% score for no other reason than people's sad attachments to nostalgia they weren't a part of or were and can't let go of. Your like those 12 year old wearing guns n roses tshirts thinking you're cool when you probably know no songs. Grow up sheep

What a great hidden gem must watch
17 April 2020
I hate racism and any hatred based on things people are. I can't believe reviews of this film are annoyed it showed rasists in a bad light, to hate someone coming from tragedies for a chance of a better life is nothing to hate. Check the history records, privileged and rich people cause most problems these days.

Great film and tonne of heart, I'm British and our films always get praised but I think Australian and New Zealand have some amazing films, easily the most naturally funny. Great message, message and host of characters, all played their roles and really were easy too root for. The only thing I wanted was for carpet burn to come back and embrace sayiid to come full circle but even so this film was a joy.

I'd we all accepted and loved each other this world could be great

Must be so boring being miserable
13 April 2020
Read through a load of reviews. Positive negative and inbetween, I find the reasons for disliking it based on liking older similar plotted films and feeling aggrieved someone's done something similar, I enjoy spy next door with Jackie chan to vin diesel pacifier they all have a place.

Yes it's predictable but so is every James bond film, yes it's clichéd and been seen in other films but so has most of today's movies

Likeable characters and a fun plot, easy to watch and thoughrally entertaining and funny. I enjoyed all the cast, batista and his style may not be everyone's cup of tea but some people don't watch trailers or are too angry to enjoy anything these days.

Bulletproof (2018–2021)
5/10
Can be a 9 but often a 3 or 4
27 March 2020
Let's start in truth, it's not based on realism, portrays the police as corrupt thugs and also just seems an ego project. The two mains just wrote themselves as sexy badasses who are witty, amazing people. It's almost cringy in some spots, two that spring to mind is them both purposefully getting shots in a show with no nudity, the situations are too one way for them to win yet they constantly do and being real Clarke is not likeable and severely unfunny so his wit misses the mark. Ashley is great in his role, I didn't find much wrong with him, well Rounded character with good development. Wife swapped actress second series and chemistry wasn't there, she seemed really inmate.

The first series sadly dragged after encouraging opening but second was really good in parts, the low scores are for people who can't suspend disbelief. If you can its actually a good plot and decent story and acting.

I just feel it's not worthy based on two series of higher than 5 it's pure marmite. I like these two from previous films but if you don't I doubt you'd like them especially Clarke. He is not charasmatic at all. Extras I first series were better, the girls in this one stunk. Awful acting and wooden, two guys were same as series one, we're OK but no character development at all. New police chief was OK but again not much time to shine.

So ive not been too negative in all and based on all that it's a 7 but it's bought down by the awful lindsay Coulson. She is a horrible actor, I found her awful in eastenders where the bar isn't high, no charisma, awful mannerisms and a monotonous delivery devoid of any emotion or anything. She stunk the scenes out and her delivering orders was just embarrassing, zero command of respect and just didn't seem a remotely decent fit. She should really be ashamed of her performance. Especially the second series, parts that need force or urgency are just words with nothing behind them, hypothetically another actress could've made this show far better. A surrane Jones for example.

This could've been great but wasn't and would've been better as two TV movies, too much ego mixed with poor acting and too little focus on anything but the duo really show a bad side to TV. This should definitely not get a third season. But probably will as sky are going quantity above quality plus too much race and gender diversity to turn down
