Moonfall (2022)
Pacing!
The pacing, for me, killed this movie - especially in the last 30 minutes.
You'd be into some decent action scenes, getting all excited, then WHAM back to the kids and their 'adventure' - happened again and again and again. It just took away all flow and impact of every scene.
Also, like typical hollyood these days, such wonderful woke blended families we have......enough already.
Marry Me (2022)
North of 35 !!!
What a classic. "North of 35" - yeah 52 is a LOT LOT North of 35. Made me laugh!
Movie is just a D-Grade "Notting Hill" - want to see it done well, go watch the classic.

My Thoughts
I binge watched this yesterday.
Very good series. Seems to be two parts. 1-3 and 4-6. Kept me engaged.
Very unique and engaging subject. Kept me intrigued as to where it could end up. Admittedly, come episode 4, by changing main characters, tended to lose the focus a touch.
My ONLY issue was the child not being taken. There was absolutely no reason for this to not happen. Those demons would NOT leave the child, as their only task is to take it. The parents being tied together would not stop them.
I loved the uniqueness of the story and the take on the righteous - moreso the fact that there was randomness to those selected - so the human perception of hell was incorrect all along.
Cinematography, like most South Korean shows, was first class.
Reading the 'reviews' here - I need to state the following.
1. CGI is bad. Then YOU go and create the CGI that YOU believe is acceptable.
2. Story is bad. Then YOU become a screenwriter, get it funded, approved and make it workable in a series.
3. Actors can't act. Then YOU become an actor and see what sort of range you have.
So many people here must be exceptional in their own lives to pick apart content so easier and readily. Go into the world, create something that is universally loved, not as easy as it sounds.
Hawkeye (2021)
Just so lazy
So tired of these 'Mary Sue' female leads. Rich. Young. Best at everything. Can take full on puches to ribs and guts and gets up easily, suddenly can beat up gangs. She does 'karate' as a young girl, and is unbeatable? She's state-level fencing, yet the mother never mentions it. She can pick locks, parkour and ALSO is better than Hawkeye at Archery. SERIOUSLY DISNEY!!!
Ever heard of a character ARC?
Now the main ANTAGONIST is a female too? Oh man. So a bunch of hardened crims are answering to a smooth skinned young female.
Disney - sack ALL of your writers from the left. They have absolutely no idea on how to write a story.
BUT Hawkeye, wow get this, he's a normal bloke, looks after kids, wants to get home, is doing the right thing by helping. He is flawed, but you can see he's holding back. Called good ACTING and subtlety. Something these young women who can hardly act just don't get.
CSI: Vegas (2021)
Bland
OMG so bland. Ticks all the woke boxes I suppose.
Zero chemistry between the cast and just weird casting choices.
Should have left it as it was - in the past.

Stories are cool
BUT YOU CAN'T SEE ANYTHING !!!!!
Why bother creating a movie. We lived through the 'VHS' years and they were never as bad as this. Why bother filming something if you have it either, jumpy, dark or add effects to make you NOT SEE ANYTHING.
So frustrating.
Val (2021)
We need more of these
Firstly, how spooky is Vals son Jacks voice! Sounds exactly like a young Val.
Love seeing the REAL behind the scenes stories from these incredible actors. They are a very different breed and persona to the characters they play.
Very heartened (and saddened) to hear about his family life. It lacked some more information around his father and brother - very little about them.
Seeing the comittment required and absolute immersion in the characters they play brings a new perspective for probably a lot of people. One sad thruth, actors of today cannot hold a candle to the greats.
As a few have commented, I wish he'd provided some more details on his perception in the media and Hollywood. But, that didn't distract from the real story.
Thank you to Val Kilmer for opening his private world to give a glimpse.
Infinite (2021)
Enoyable - could have been great.
Really enjoyed this movie.
My only criticisms are as others have raised:
1. Why doesn't the bad guy just shoot himself in the head with his own bullet? He has the tech and the way out.
2. Why does anyone work for this guy if they know he wants to end all life on the planet?
3. PLEASE have someone check the sound level between quiet talking and action scenes. I spent half the movie turning the volume up then down again! Crazy.
4. What happens to all the others in the wall? They say they want to save them, the blow up the room. So are they freed or just destroyed??
5. Probably my biggest let-down was Marks training fight scene. This could have been an AMAZING scene if it was extended a bit further. Maybe showing him losing at the start, then a slow emergence of his memories.....then he starts to beat the opponent as he recalls who he was and the skills return. That would have been awesome. It was too quick and had no real impact !!
Loki (2021)
Blind Love?
Why are the ratings all 10? I get that you love Loki. I like him too.
I want to see a smart, driven series in relation to the God of Mischief.
But what did we get? A therapy session where they try to get him to admit he's just a bad person. They create an over-arching 'authority' basically telling us all we are being controlled and have to stay in line - or they will intervene. Yet they won't intervene in the scenario of end-game, and write off the Avengers time travel as 'they were allowed to'......come on.
Loki is knocked out and beaten two-three times in this episode alone. So is he the main character and hero or just a lacky who can be beaten easily?
Use your brains people, stop blindly loving content with it just dumbing us down. Hollywood needs to get back to good, strong writing and telling of stories.
What they have done to the likes of Thor is criminal.....and this is no better.
I know this will be voted down - as you have to be a blind MCU lover to get 'approvals' on this forum.
Resident Alien (2021)
Slow decline
Whats happening? Great start, really enjoyed the characters and the storyline.
The last epsiode was just a filler. More and more 'PC' garbage sinking in.....boring scenes with absolutely no point, and the final scene.....just why?
Maybe if you have a good concept - actually make it a STORY. Start, middle, conclusion. Shows nowadays just seem to be prolonged with no real idea on the end game.
Resident Alien: The Green Glow (2021)
Strange
Why does Asta get jealous over her ex at the bowling alley. It really doesn't make sense as to why she'd be jeaous of a drunken abuser. why the mixed messages?
Harrys Ex is strange too. When she first appeared she wanted him to sign the divorce papers and he'd been delaying it. Then suddenly she didn't want to? Why?
Oh, and the female Alien investigator is an absolute pain. Rude, pushy and disrespectful. Awful character.
Apart from the above, loving this show. A real gem. Funny, quirky, beautiful cinematograph, just a great mix with a great concept. Well done to all involved.
Hopefully they don't try to extend its life by coming up with silly storylines.
The Blacklist: Elizabeth Keen (No. 1) (2021)
What has happened?
Suddenly Liz is an exceptional international warlord capable of taking over Reddingtons opetaion - right.
The FBI agents are clueless morons who always let anything and everything Liz does slide - right.
She has everyone wrapped around her fingers and they don't ARREST her....ever.....right.
Dembe is suddenly a moron and is caught exposing his gun in a hospital and deploying all resources to staircases just for 'plot covenience' - right.
Reddington is that dumb that he'd move his transactions to DIGITAL.....right.
Reddington is that dumb that he'd not trust his most trusted bookeeper.....right.
Reddington is that dumb that he wouldn't plan for Liz taking some sort of revenge....right.
We get it now. All the smart, great male characters have taken a 2020-21 pill and now bow to all the smarter, tougher and generally better females.
Walker (2021)
So either a 10 or a 1 - so what is it?
Loved Supernatural so was interested to see how Jared goes in this.
As mentioned by a LOT of people - the background music drowns out the actual talking. We get that Jared talks soft, but everyone doesn't need to do it.
Pilot was very choppy - get that they were trying to introduce characters too quickly. Of course, being 2021, they have to tick all the boxes. Strong independent females. Check. Lesbian daughter. Check. Men apologising to woemn. Check. Fight scene were a tiny woman pulls the angry man easily off the perp. Check.
Was okay. Not exceptional. Let's just hope it finds its feet quickly.
Oh, why were all their clothes and hats SO CLEAN??!!!! It's all like brand new gear!
The Stand (2020)
No thank you
Amber Heard and Whoopi Goldberg?........no thanks.
Actors being exposed as liars and telling people of certain political views you are unworthy. Fine. Then we won't watch you product! We too can create lists of people we no longer watch.
The Mandalorian: Chapter 15: The Believer (2020)
Why do we have to see his face?
Why is there nothing left sacred? Why must modern cinema spoon feed us like we're idiots. We DIDN'T NEED to see the Madalorians face. But they just pushed and pushed. So now we know who tbhe actor is (as if we didn't already!).
The series is great, but this just appeased to the vocal minority. Another nail in the coffin for good story-telling.
