As a booklover, I was eagerly waiting for this book adaption since 2019. I was wrong. Romance\Comedy movies are usually my cup of tea, but this was not the case. If you haven't read the book before and have no clue what to expect, this might be more appealing to you than it was to us, the readers. At first, the cast seemed well-chosen but during the movie I thought that some of them have 0 acting skills. I agreee the main character, Lina, is equally clumsy in the book but the actress, despite her beauty, tends to over dramatise the situation so to say. She isn't funny when she should and shows 0 emotions in the right moment. The only beautiful thing in this movie is Italy (Rome & Firenze)

The end of an era

As a teenager, I watched the Descendants from the moment the first movie came out. The story finally came to an end. I quite enjoyed this and I'm glad that Disney didn't mess up with this series as it did with other live action movies.
Firstly, I liked the music and the choreagraphy. So much energetic movement, characteristic to Disney. Moreover, the characters had a great development too, especially Evie anc Mal. I felt like Evie was the one who tried to keep everyone together. I liked Hades and Mal as I think it's great we got to see that father-daughter relationship. I wish we could see more moments of them together.
I like how the producers thought of turning to the other side of the story.
As for Audrey being the villan, I think the acting was too forced even though I enjoyed the singing and the look.
Not to forget, this was a great tribute to Cameron Boyce's acting and I'm glad he had the chance of taking part in such a movie.

I've watched Pretty Woman recently and I must say I feel a bit like an outsider seeing all the old reviews out there. (The movie is much older than me haha) But it's never too late to discover and enjoy a classic, isn't it? I loved the acting and the story. The atmosphere is fantastic, everytime you watch it you will get a brief taste of the 80s era. Finally I've had the chance to hear the soundratck which is famous even now. I think the movie is ageless. I agree! As time passed, it got better and better. I recommend it to everyone who call themselves 'binge watchers'. A classic who never gets out of style, 'the old school'
Elmo is the symbol of love

A great documentary about Muppets which I'm sure has made our childhood more beautiful. By watching this, I got some answers to the questions that I had about this magical universe.
Moreover, I liked the final message, the great power Kevin Clash has in convincing everyone to persuade their dreams and make children happier by being Elmo. On the other hand, I would've liked to see more about his personal life. Yes, I agree that Elmo has taken part in his professional growth process but what abou his family?

I totally recommend it! One of the best movies I've seen in a while, A beautiful story about familly filled with sad as well as funny moments which make you realise the great power of love. The acting was great, it made the story be done right.

Yes, I'm watching this later than I should but it's never too late. To begin with, I am a big Disney fan. When I first found about this movie I could understand the hype and now that I've seen it, I can understand the bad reviews as well. Yes, there are some differences between this one and the original but let's give it some credit. I think the ones that call it a remake are wrong. Better to call it another variant of the story.
Firstly, I liked the acting. Mulan's fighting skills were amazing making me eager to keep watching. Moreover, I liked the story of the eagle turning into a witch female warrior who ends up meeting Mulan. It's like a paralel between good and evil and how easy is to tip the scales, between what she could've become and what she chose to become.
On the other hand, what I would've wanted to see is a real-life Mushu (in the original movie is the little red dragon sent by the Ancestors to protect Mulan on the battlefield). I think it would've been interesting to see such a character especially if they had included the funny moments from the original. I got the replacement they tried to make with the phoenix and although it's beautiful, it's not the same. What I've missed is the less amount of music they put. I agree that the war «doesn't take a break» for them to start singing but let's not forget that the original classical Disney movies are also famous for their soundtracks. In this one, the instrumental was great but simply not enough. At the same time, I think they should've put more emphasis on the father-daughter relationship Mulan has at the beginning because in the original there was such a beautiful father-daughter moment which I would've really liked to see.

This seemed interesting at first but it turned out to be one of the worst movies I've ever watched. Such a waste of time! How do I begin? The idea of a contemporary movie about the Romanovs fascinated me. The first ten minutes were really interesting but then the disaster began. How do you expect to get something good when you mix the 80s with old Russian history? This was a very low budget movie. The actress who was casted as Anastasia played so bad, her accent was so fake and gross! Don't forget Anastasia was a royal princess who really received education. Also, they really ruined the 80s era. What I've seen in the movie is nothing more than a cheap copy. The ending was so unrealistic. Next time when making such a film, read more about the history.

What happens when Netflix makes random recommandations? I acidentally end up watching something.
Skater Girl tells the story about a girl named Preema who lives in an Indian village and somehow develops a passion for skateboarding. Everything starts when Jessica, a girl from London, arrives into the village in search of pieces of information about her dad's familial background.
I like the accent put on the Indian culture and also how the viewer gets an insight into the Indian lifestyle and mentality. There are some paralels between two different cultures in the conversations Preema has with Jessica. I liked the feminism side.
On the other hand, it would have been great to see what happend after the contest with Preema's life and also with Jessica's unsolved mistery.

The story is set in 1900, in Russia. Two people from different social classes meet... how will the story end?
I found it on Netflix and decided to give it a try. The Russian winter atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. I liked the places and the ice skiing made it easier to watch as it gave some rapidity. I liked the feminism side of the film considering the epoque in which the story is set. I would have liked to see a more clear explanation of the political background because as the viewer gets to see the romance, he can get easily distracted by lots of details. Unfortunately it's a bit too long.

This movie was better than I expected. I like how Disney explores this part of dark-twisty villan's backstory. The transition from Estella to Cruella was genius. Cruella is like a cat with nine lives. An underrated villan. A well-portraited story in which we get to see her perspective. The script is really written with attention to the details in order to keep the bond between this movie and 101 Dalmatians. I was blown away by Emma Stone's performance even though at first I didn't see her as a realistic choice for the role. But she was great! Her British accent was excellent as most of American actresses don't even try to sound a little like them. Moreover, she knew how to balance Cruella's many personalities. She went from the obediant shy assistant to the bold inovative (psychopath) designer. The actress knew when she had to be funny, sarcastic, or creepy proving her talent. The entire movie was filled with many funny scenes and also succeded in keeping us at the edge of our seats. The relationships between the characters was very well-built. Loved the friendship between Estella, Jasper and Horace and the endless faith or support they had in each other. And also don't forget to give credit to the dogs, they really deserve it. The dresses Cruella (Estella) created were amazing as they gave a really sense of true fashion. The background was fantastic. The soundtrack was great, really completed the atmosphere. Overall, I like the psychological side of the story proving that nothing is what it seems, not even a villan.
