Loki: The Nexus Event (2021)
Loki going downhill pretty quickly.
At this point it's not clear if it's even Loki anymore. It's obvious that they put everything they had into the first two episodes and now the series is just falling apart. I don't know who they were in the end credit scene, at this point I'm so bored that I don't even care. The younger lady loki doesn't even have the same hair colour. It's so bad now.
WandaVision (2021)
#freeagatha
Agatha is my favourite character on this show and what Wanda did to her was just unforgivable. #freeagatha. Wanda is the true criminal. Until Agatha is freed, no rating more than 5 for Wandavision!
Khaali Peeli (2020)
Decided not to watch this movie
I didnt actually watch the movie, just came here to see the reviews to decide whether or not to watch but saw alot of 10 star reviews with the same comment with "paisa wasool he". How many people think that its the same person making multiple accounts to raise the rating. And my advise to that guy. Atleast thoda variety rakho yaar. Dont make it so obvious that u r the same person across multiple accounts.
Mulan (2020)
I would rate this 6 starts but...
The visuals are the best thing about this movie. At many places the story didn't make sense (I think they forgot that this is not an anime where the timeline doesn't need to make alot of sense). The movie didn't really explore the feminist theme as well as the anime did, choosing rather to spend more time in the training camp (yet they totally left out any growth about her powers). Its sad that we didn't get to see anything about Mulan's chi. There is alot to be disappointed about in the movie, but i still didn't feel bored as the visuals were done so beautifully, it can actually keep you engaged till the end. Sad as it could have been better though. I would have given it 6 stars, but subtracting 1 in solidarity with Hong Kong. The whole world is with you in your fight to defend your freedom!! "Courage Loyalty Truth" the actress really should have thought about her dialogues and what she fights for in the movie, before making those unfortunate statements against Hong Kongers. Cause it actually hits you when you watch the movie.
Artemis Fowl (2020)
I really tried
Stopped mid way through the movie. Was that bad. Once I saw the way the members of the fairy army were 'marching', I knew there was no hope and the movie wasn't going to get better.
Killing Eve: Are You Leading or Am I? (2020)
Wth!
This entire season makes no sense! Its so funny how implausible all of this is! Random things keep happening here and there for no rhyme or reason. I can't understand if its deliberate on the part of the makers. I just cant laughing at the absurdity of all. I still enjoyed it though I'm mostly sitting thinking wth is happening.
The Mandalorian (2019)
So good
I love it so far. One of those series whivh keeps getting better with every episode! I think definitely going to be one among my favourite episodes
Watchmen (2019)
Too political maybe?
I found the series almost impossible to watch. Not being an American, I don't understand the context of the series, and maybe that's why, but I was really disappointed. I don't know if that is a problem with the series or whether it was intentionally not meant for an outside audience, but it makes the series very difficult to enjoy. I sit through entire episodes and i dont feel like anything important is happening. Well anyway I'm giving up on this one.
Alita: Battle Angel (2019)
Overall a good movie
I liked the movie. However I didn't really enjoy the romance between the male and female lead. Also the movie ended too abruptly and clumsily, in the middle of nowhere.
Otherwise the movie was good. It's good to see Western production houses taking up comics/ stories from Asia. The action sequences and the SFX were the best part of the movie.
Tomorrowland (2015)
Unnecessarily complicated
I didn't like the movie. It was unnecessarily complicated and convoluted. It was a mess of bad storytelling, alot of bad acting and unlikeable characters ruining a story that had potential. Overall, a disappointment.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
One of the best movies ever
It's a supercool awesome thriller/ comedy. There's not a single moment of the movie you won't love.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Overall disappointing and worse, boring.
The action scenes were totally underwhelming (my main complaint). The rest of the movie wasn't much better either. The plot is basically a "dystopian world run by an evil A.I"/ "good guys are the bad guys and the bad guys are the good guys" trope. The plot is so predictable and basic, that you'll realise what's what in five minutes. Kinda surprised by the good ratings here, this is definitely one of the worse Marvel movies.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
Couldn't even watch the whole episode
It's so bad that it's really unwatchable. How could they make something so awful I'll never understand. I'm giving 1 star for Drogon. Mostly because the writers couldn't ruin his character with bad dialogue the way they did with everyone else. God they've ruined this show.
Glass (2019)
Was a little disappointed
As someone who actually liked Split, this movie is really disappointing. The story didn't come together for me, and much of the movie made no sense.
The doctor failed, but declares to the members of the organisation that her experiment was a great success. That is the level of inconsistency you can expect.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
One of the best movies of the year
Enjoyed it thoroughly. The movie has so much heart that you'll find it hard to not fall in love.
Shazam! (2019)
Funny and enjoyable
Enjoyed watching the movie. The acting was good. It was funny and more a comedy than a conventional superhero movie.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Expectations burned to the ground
Even since the show overtook the novels, the show has been reduced to bad dialogues, senseless storylines, dragon sized plot holes. Like how bad are the writers really?
This episode was great to watch because of the visuals. Everything else was a total let down. The dialogues are so bad I'd rather people just scream and die. You don't feel anything for anyone anymore. At many times I was actually rooting for Drogon. He's atleast doing what he's expected to do, unlike everyone else.
Varys's death made no sense. Lovers dying in each other's arms, lifelong enemies jumping into fire together. What rubbish! This is how low GOT is stooping down to?!
Oh well one more episode, and here's hoping that whoever dies, Drogon survives. (Drogon having become by far the the most complicated character this season).
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
Like wtf?
This whole season is so bad.
First you have two episodes where nothing worth remembering happens, and you are left wondering why they bothered making them any longer than the usual episodes. Then you have an episode touted as the greatest and most expensive battle scene in TV history, but then you self sabotage it by making it so dark that people don't actually see what all that money was spent on and hype created for. And to top it all off, you have this awful episode 4. 7 seasons of slow, meticulous character development thrown into the wind, because why not? Why have people actually act consistent to their character when you can just make them do whatever they want. And what makes my blood really boil is all these actors and writers going around smug, repeating how the season is going to shock everyone. I don't want to be shocked just for the sake of it, if it means going against the development of characters. And what's worse about this season is that not only is it bad, it's ruining all the good work done by the last seven seasons in building characters we know, we love, we relate to or atleast whose motivations we understand. Now those people don't make any sense anymore.
