Not funny--a complete waste of time and money
31 October 2008
It is hard to believe all the good reviews this movie has been getting. From the trailer, I expected a solid comedy. Instead, I saw a movie with thoroughly poor acting and a script that sounded like it was either non-existent or written the night before the movie was shot. There is an awful lot of swearing for no reason. The storyline is haphazard at best and looks like a bunch of separately shot scenes scrambled together without much planning.

The "jokes" don't come across as funny. I didn't hear a single laugh in the entire cinema. After half an hour, I had enough of this nonsense and walked out of the cinema. Normally, I tend to stay for a movie I paid to see even if I don't like it. But this one was painful to watch! In a nutshell, it was a waste of my time and money. I give it a 1 out of 10...

Just pointless
18 April 2000
Warning: Spoilers
I think that it was just pointless to produce a second part of a movie like "My Girl". "My Girl" was a very good movie but it is ridiculous making a second part of a movie in which one of the main characters (Macaulay Culkin as Thomas J.) dies. The story was over after the first movie. I wonder why someone tried to find a way to make the story going on. That was senseless!

A really amazing movie
7 January 2000
At first when I watched The Truman Show I did not know what the story was about because I did not read the short summary on the cover. So I was quite amazed when Truman found out that the whole city around him was just a huge set and the people around him were Hollywood actors and actresses. After the movie I was really impressed because Truman was actually living his whole life in a giant prison without knowing it. This movie is so different from other movies that it is really a pleasure to watch it. There is nothing I would have made different.

Just disappointing
2 December 1999
Richard Tyler is a little boy who is scared of everything. He doesn't like riding his bike or climbing on his tree house because he knows what kind of accidents might happen to him. So one day he is riding his bike and because it is starting to rain, he decides to wait in the library until it stops raining. In there the whole story takes place. He experiences all kinds of staff and in the end he is not scared any more. But the whole story is unbelievable and even good actors like Macaulay Culkin could not make the story better than it is.

Mr. Bean (1990–1995)
The funniest TV series I know
12 October 1999
"Mr. Bean" is the funniest TV series I have ever seen. Rowan Atkinson is playing the character Mr. Bean very well and it is just incredibly funny to watch all the stupid mistakes Mr. Bean makes. Mr. Bean always wants to be perfect and has always bad luck.

"Mr. Bean" shows that it is possible to make well-done comedies. You never get tired of laughing about all the jokes and that is just great.

Everybody who doesn't know Mr. Bean doesn't know what good jokes are.

a really funny comedy
6 October 1999
"Harald" is one of the best German comedies I have ever seen. Good jokes make the movie very interesting and it is funny to watch it. Although the story is not realistic and exaggerated it did not bother my at all. It was just a pleasure to watch such a well done movie.
