Amazing pack of lies
20 May 2004
Do not believe this is a documentary. The Academy should be ashamed that it gave its Oscar for 'best documentary' to this propaganda piece. Like all Propaganda pieces it twists the truth every which way, most of the film is cleverly edited to make you think things occured that nver occured, Heston's NRA speech for instance, is spliced from three seperate speeches that occured a year apart. Do your own research and find out that Moore is one of the biggest liars and Propagandists out there, and I say that as a Progressive Democrat! I thought his first film Roger and Me was a good documentary, but he has headed steadily downhill since then. I will not see his next film, no matter who releases it

TNT cable network movies are better than this
9 December 2000
This movie could have been great. It could have shown people a part of what happened in what is a forgotten war by many Americans. It could have been balanced and neutral in showing both American and Mexican soldiers. But that did not happen, at least not in this movie. The American soldiers are shown charging wildly again and again. The war was fought in orderly lines and columns, not like some 19th century "Braveheart" The acting in my opinion was poor overall, with poor accents by the actors doing the Irish deserters. People should know that many of the deserters went over to the Mexican side due to the fact that Mexico was offering large land grants to American deserters. It also fails to note that more than half of the historical battalion was made up of native Mexicans. It also fails to note that the VAST majority of the immigrant soldiers stayed loyal to the American cause in the face of extreme hardship. Nearly all the battles were fought with the Americans outnumbered in at least one case 3 to 1 and yet the United States won. So if you are looking for a balanced historical movie look elsewhere. But if you want a movie where most Americans are depicted as evil and the Mexicans are mostly saints then this is the movie for you.

Where were the U.S. military witnesses hmmm?
9 December 2000
This film is a complete waste of time. The film throws out all sorts of allegations, and yet does not back it up. Thousands of American soldiers were involved in the invasion and yet the film does not have a single ONE backing the films allegations. Skip this one.

Great World War 2 flick in space
13 March 1999
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie after reading the bad prior reviews. It is a good combat science fiction movie. The special effects were really good considering the budget of the film. The acting was decent, and the story was well written. The only problem I had was the poor effects of the Kilrathi, they did not look good at all. Fans of the wing commander games should go see this movie with an open mind. No Mark Hammil, but the movie is not any lesser with him missing. See this film, you will like it. 10/10

The Siege (1998)

Good beginning, Bad ending
10 November 1998
The movie "The Siege" starts out well. It shows how the Federal Government would react to a terrorist campaign in New York city. That ends about two-thirds of the way through it when we are left with liberal politicaly-correct speeches and a politicaly-correct ending. The actors do a good job but Bruce Willis is only in the movie briefly.

Amazing Animation, and a story adults will love
4 October 1998
Antz has to be one of the best Animated movies I have ever seen, The computer animation is fantastic and the satire in the story will keep you laughing all the way through the movie.I have to admit I don't much like Woody Allen's movies, but he is great as the worker ant Z in this movie. Do yourself a favor and see this movie
