I'm still questioning Silvia!! Where was she during all this!!!! Really look at the first 2 episodes and how she speaks and acts, it reveals more than you know!! Was she more than a lawyer to Johnathan!!

Why are people confused?
asilv-1536710 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
People either aren't following along here, or aren't reading context. First of all, no one said definitively that Grace killed Elena. In fact, she almost definitely didn't (from our POV). She was in the area, yes, which makes her a suspect. But she has definitely not been shown to be the killer, at least not yet. Also, it was said multiple times that Jonathan's affair-child is a girl. Whenever the couple are talking about their/his son, they're talking about Henry.

Alright, with that out of the way, I really liked this episode. I totally get why some people might not, but I enjoy the slower scenes. They allow the intense ones to pack more punch, and I'm interested in each character enough to want to see their interactions. The acting here kicks ass once again. Kidman, Grant, and Sutherland all flexed their excellence, of course. And Jupe still proves (as he does in all his projects) that he is the best child actor working right now. I also dig the little twist at the end. Interested to see where it goes from here.

rare

Warning: Spoilers
I think it starts way too rushed and with extremely short scenes to a point that makes everything a bit confusing. most certainly the weakest episode so far, probably because it lacks the thriller that both previous episodes had. we know that kelley is a fantastic writer but i think he's copying his own work on this one. kidman's character is once again doing everything on her power to be able to defend her husband somehow, who has clearly messed up everything. though, the production design is still overwhelmingly good and the acting is spot on. specially, donald suetherland's this episode.

About a Boy
safenoe16 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Hugh Grant (Jonathan Fraser) demonstrates his range of acting skills when he participates in a jailyard fight with another inmate. It's not pretty at all, and we can only wonder if Grace can acquiesce and fund the $10 million bail ($2m in cash). Fernando Alves appears more prominently in this episode, and we're left wondering what he knew about his wife's infidelity. Talking of which, we meet Henry's half-sister.

JEEZ8

Warning: Spoilers
Jeez8- To clear up your confusion, Elena has two children, a son (the one who had a tumor) and the infant daughter who is actually Jonathan's child. Her son was sick which is how she met Jonathan, they had an affair, she got pregnant with her daughter. All this was explained in the first episode (except paternity of the baby girl)

Annoying episode
Just-A-Girl-149 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I wanted to like this show. I still do. I liked the first episode but the second and third are not great. I have trouble with the way the characters are behaving. Let's start by saying that Jonathan is a suspect. He is being accused of rape and murder. There was no trial, he wasn't found guilty, we don't know what the evidences against him are and yet almost everyone around him acts like they believe he did it. It's understandable when it's coming from strangers but not when it's coming from friends and family. I was also looking forward to Grace and Jonathan's confrontation but it ended up being very short and lame. His conversation with his son was much more intense and convincing. The detectives are acting like assholes. If they suspect Grace then why arrest her husband? Surely they don't think they killed her together right? Grace's father's behaviour changes between being a smart tough guy and a soft moron. Seriously, which is it? Grace is walking everywhere very freely. Either the journalists are following her or not. I don't think that nowadays they would just camp out in front of her house. If they want a scoop they would most likely try and follow her so either all eyes on her or not. Just last episode she had to go to the beach house to hide from them. She is also acting kinda stupid. First, talking to Elena's husband and then going to the detectives. How many times is she going to be surprised that they suspect her? It's obvious. One would think the expensive lawyer she hired would tell her to keep her mouth shut. And isn't it the lawyer's job to find out what the cops have on her husband? Also, if you think about it what really happened in this episode? What new information did we get? The only new information was that the baby really is Jonathan's and that Grace was seen near the crime scene. Other than that there was nothing. No new information from Jonathan, no new information from the police, no new information about Elena. I was expecting a faster pace considering we are half way through the show.

7.8 rating at time of this review, but I think it's a masterpiece.

This episode hit all the right notes for me. Not knowing who the murderer is, Anthony Dod Mantle's beautiful intentional photography that can insinuate that Grace is forgetting things or that she is alone in terms of what she thinks. Lines like "I don't know what I'm thinking", "My husband is not a psychopath", and everything Grace and the participants of the plots say are the key to unraveling the mystery. There are so many lies that you can't tell if they are really lies or truths cause manipulation or misorientation can be involved. I also think that who the show makes you think is the killer is discarded in my book, because that is the point to make you see the plot twist at the end. Either that or there is too much manipulation involved. I will watch these next three episodes to keep trying to solve the puzzle. Hugh Grant has also had two Emmy nominee worthy scenes in the final scene of the last episode and when he reunites with Henry in this episode. It has just been great acting to watch throughout the show. We can also wonder to what extent corruption can be involved with either the police or the people who work at the hospital. Really great drama going on with this show.

Episode 3

Warning: Spoilers
We all knew what was going to happen in the end, but it still feels like a throwback where there's a cliffhanger each week now.

The pacing of this show is a little odd, but I am starting to get invested in it.

The pace of this episode was not at the level of the previous one, but keeps being intriguing. To now is perfect how they manage to feeds you one crumb after one crumb of information. And these crumb can also scupper up the idea you had in mind until that moment.

Starting Not to Care

Up through episode 3 and it's going nowhere. It's incredibly slow. They're dribbling clues at a snails pace. Actors are great. Nicole and Hugh are great. They should let loose all the remaining episodes cause people will forget this readily.

[8.2] Pupils and eylashes

A slower but developing episode, not at all boring or disappointing. All scenes with Kidman, especially with the detectives are brilliant and the camera angles make it more outstanding.

Those eyes! Surprised or hiding guilt?!

An ugly twist. A red flag
globalisationana9 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I am not enjoying the prospects of nicole kidman (wonderful woman as she is at her peak with the best hair she has worn for ages.) being the character who killed at the end. It's unfortunate. It's also what I thought at the beginning when they advertised the series, that she was to be the suspect. But no i rather have Hugh doing that than her. He is sure not the killer.
