Joe Lo Truglio's Boyle character was once the highlight of Brooklyn Nine-Nine but has become one of the weak spots the last few years. He can be effective in the right role and this one, with him almost "cool" seemed to work. The episode had some laughs and really played off the uncool nature of Huebel, which is when the show is at its best dynamic.
