What happened between Holden and Debbie? suddenly they are back together?

Betrayal

Once again, the psycho at the start. He will do something horrendous soon. This episode has several things going on. Holden is getting in deeper and deeper every moment. He has become a liar and a liability. He sees Debbie and goes to his apartment. Things are tense. While there, the wife of the foot-tickling principal shows up. He has been fired, probably because of Holden's actions. Of course, he could've stopped the tickling if he cared about his future. Now we get to the most serious issue. The redacting of the first few minutes of the Richard Speck interview. Speck has filed a complaint and they need to turn in all their documentation. They lie about the tape and turn in the altered transcript. But Gregg, the innnocent, the non-team player has other plans. Wendy is furious and they become four separated partners. Trust disappears quickly.

Second best episode yet

Trust Fincher to come back as guest director and make the second best episode of the show after the pilot. This one focuses on what is essentially a quite trivial bit of office politics but in the writer's hands it becomes engrossing, suspenseful, and quite thrilling.

Is Holden becoming the monsters he is fighting ?

First of all, never collude with a quaker/christian. You're bound to be betrayed by those goody two shoes' conscience if you . Let that aside, this episode is lit !

As Holden stares into the abyss, it seems like the abyss becoming part of him. It really begs the question : is he dispalying deviant behaviour ? Are there signs that this guy might become the monsters he loves to study ?

No one actually destroyed the tape.

I still study killers

I dont know what to say. The inestigations are still there and we follow them. We meet a new prisoner with some sexual crime and we tried to know why he did that (psychologically of course) and we see also some problems with main character and his girlfriend. Still interested about this TV show and very great to watch it.

Off the rails

Holden is really going off the rails and I'm not sure how I feel about it. Good acting and another interesting and captivating storyline. I enjoy the parallels between their three lives.

Glad we got another multi-episode story here, they need to give us more story lines to make the show more engaging, but the interviewee here was a bit annoying. I don't find randomly shouting obscenities funny. Not because I am a prude, I just think it is low-brow humor.

The show has been getting better in its second half though. This is still better than some of those early episodes.
