Juice (Jah) is wanted for questioning for a crime in his home of Belize. He flees to the States and lives with his uncle who is willing to show him the ropes to obtain food stamps. Juice quickly falls into becoming a gangster, ignoring the promise he made to his mother who now needs and expensive operation because of "the something growing in my stomach." I liked the first heist pulled off by Juice. Other than that the film lacked any professional film making. The dubbing was bad. What was that girl's voice on the phone? The fight choreography was a joke. They simply shook the camera while people moved around. Were we to believe someone was actually being hit by that chair? Part of the film was Jah making ego poses as if he was in a music video...worse than the promo picture. The acting wasn't there. The film had subtitles and they were needed.
Should be enough to deter anyone thinking of retiring in Belize.
