Erica Flynn Returns Again
claudio_carvalho30 January 2022
The smuggler of fake passport chips Jan Nemic is connected to terrorist groups and wanted by the FBI. His girlfriend Erica Flynn contacts the FBI to exchange Nemic by her return to USA with reduced time in prison. She requests Patrick Jane to memorize 81 numbers for Nemic to give to his contacts and lure Nemic. Lisbon goes with Patrick to Beirut posing as his girlfriend. Patrick is hired by Nemic and gives the numbers to Cho. But they need to change the plan when an incident happens.

"Orange Blossom Ice Cream" is an episode of "The Mentalist" with the return of Erica Flynn. This Brazilian actress is certainly one of the sexiest actresses in the cinema industry and as usual explores her charm in Patrick Jane. But now he is in a relationship with Lisbon and she has her plans frustrated in the end. My vote is eight.

Wrong

This episode was a huge disappointment, do your research people! Beirut was portrayed in a totally biased, inaccurate manner. They showed nothing of the real Lebanese culture but rather the typical stereotype spread worldwide about the middle east, not to mention the poor choice of clothing, the "thobe" worn in gulf countries is not in any way a part of the Lebanese clothing. They showed nothing but bad neighborhoods, spreading a sickening false impression about the Lebanese culture. There was nothing Lebanese about the episode, even the accents were gulf or Iraqi accents, they could've easily chosen one of these countries for the plot to take place.

You better do your reasearch before casting wrong information.
  • This is not Beirut at all - the street the hotel ... are not in Lebanon.
  • the language spoken is not Lebanese.
  • the men and women clothes are not realed to Lebanon in any way. Men in Lebanon wear pants. This episode is a disaster and show lack of knowledge and education.

Not very realistic

Firstly I wish to say that the Jayne/Lisbon relationship is full of whines, whinges and moans from both parties. They are like schoolchildren or perhaps to give a little credit teenage adults. What on earth would a worldly man-eating specimen of a sexy woman played superbly by Morena Baccarin want with a wimp like Jayne?

Other comments include as already mentioned here by others, that this was not Beirut, the accent was off and the clothes too. I also did love the innocence of Lisbon (and/or the scriptwriters), when she said to Erica 'I didn't know you spoke Lebanese'. Actually whilst the Lebanese do have their own nuances, accent and a distinct dialect, it is still basically Arabic they are speaking. And ...... whilst I always knew, or thought that Ms Morena Baccarin was Brazilian, it does appear that she has some Italian, and even 'lo and behold', some Lebanese in her blood.
