It is a pretty remarkable feat that All Elite Wrestling has accomplished with over 3 years on a premiere station like TNT and still getting good ratings. That should definitely not be discounted, but this was not a quality show.
None of the matches really lived up to their potential and Hikaru Shida winning did not feel as big of a deal as it could have been.
They did highlight a lot of different skillsets which I think was part of the point with the lineup and the presentation here, but this was definitely not the best representation for what AEW can be and should be. Needed a good technical match that went around 20 minutes.
