NBC has given a series order to “Happy’s Place,” the Reba McEntire-led pilot the network ordered in January, and greenlit “Lopez vs. Lopez” for Season 3. The multi-cam comedy will debut during the 2024-2024 broadcast season.
“Happy’s Place” follows Bobbie (Reba McEntire), who inherits her father’s restaurant and is less than thrilled to discover that she has a new business partner in the half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) she never knew she had. The cast also includes Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and Rex Linn. Universal Television is the studio.
With Kevin Abbott writing the series and executive producing alongside Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Julie Abbott and McEntire, “Happy’s Place” reunites the team who produced “Reba” for six seasons from 2001 to 2007. Reba McEntire is returning to the sitcom world — and reuniting with the team behind her last two comedies as well. NBC has given a pilot order to an untitled multi-camera comedy starring McEntire, who will also executive produce.

Reba McEntire is bringing her heart of a fighter to The Voice Season 23. The country music star will lend her talents to the NBC competition series as a mentor when the new episodes kick off on March 6. McEntire joins The Voice Season 23 coaches Chance the Rapper, Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan, and Blake Shelton on the hunt for the next big singing sensation, Variety reports, giving an extra dose of Country for this final season with Shelton. This isn’t The Hammer star’s first time at The Voice rodeo. In 2011, she appeared in the very first season of the Emmy-winning reality competition series as a Battle Advisor to Team Blake, making her return a full-circle moment for Shelton, the only coach who has been with the series since its inception. McEntire will be a “mega mentor” this season, popping in to aid the contestants who make it past the...

In a recent interview with E! News to promote her new Lifetime movie “Reba McEntire’s The Hammer”, the country music icon was asked whether she and Melissa Peterman — who appears in “The Hammer” and was also her co-star in “Reba” — discussed the possibility of a reboot.
“We talked about that a lot,” McEntire said. “I don’t think that’s ever going to come to fruition, but maybe one of these days.”

How's your January going so far?
Have you found all of the shows or are you still looking for something to add?
Find out what we recommend you watch this week. Maybe you'll fill up that schedule sooner than you think!
Saturday, January 7
8/7c Reba McEntire’s The Hammer (Lifetime)
Everything’s better with Reba, and this is no exception when she stars as Kim Wheeler, one of the few traveling judges in America.
As you can guess, she’s a spitfire, and her district, ranging from Vegas to Reno, requires that energy when she’s the judge for cases that cover everything under the sun and then some.
Of course, she has to pull double the duty when her sister, a brothel house owner, becomes the primary suspect in the suspicious death of Kim’s predecessor.
Sunday, January 8
8/7c Alert: Missing Persons Unit (Fox)

Young Sheldon producers are well aware of the potential sitcom reunion on their hands.
For three seasons now, Reba McEntire has recurred on the Big Bang Theory spinoff as hairstylist June Ballard, ex-wife of Craig T. Nelson’s Dale. And from the beginning, fellow Reba vet Melissa Peterman (aka Barbara Jean) has recurred as next-door neighbor Brenda Sparks. June and Brenda have even appeared in the same episode — Season 4’s “A Second Prodigy and the Hottest Tips for Pouty Lips,” in which Brenda received a haircut not unlike Reba Hart — but McEntire and Peterman’s characters still did not cross paths.

Reba McEntire is staying booked and busy in 2022, with the upcoming release of her Lifetime film The Hammer, shooting underway on ABC’s Big Sky, and a concert tour kicking off this fall. What this means is that a revival of her popular series Reba will have to wait, although, she says, it’s a project she would love to explore.
“So many obstacles,” McEntire told Deadline about what’s keeping the revival from happening. “The TV business changes so much that sometimes reboots are hot and then they’re not. Plus getting everyone scheduled together is also hard. Steve Howie is very busy, and so is Joanna Garcia. Mellisa [Peterman] is doing wonderful and here we are making a movie together. I guess timing and schedule will dictate that in the future.”

It will be a Reba reunion on the set of new Lifetime movie The Hammer. Reba McEntire will star with fellow Reba alum Melissa Peterman for the film inspired by the life of traveling circuit judge, Kim Wanker.
McEntire’s real-life partner Rex Linn (CSI: Miami) and Kay Shioma Metchie (Totally Normal) also star.
Per the logline, the film follows Kim Wheeler, an outspoken, firecracker lawyer who is appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada and is one of the few traveling judges left in America. After the reigning judge dies under suspicious circumstances, Kim finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno — a rugged, often desolate area where anything and everything can happen. With gavel in hand, she lays down the law with a no-nonsense brand of justice, that quickly earns her the nickname “The Hammer.” As...
