"A History of Forgetting" is an episode where we really saw The Resort take a giant leap forward in quality. This felt more like quality programming from FX or HBO or something that what we have become accustomed to when the show started.
The character felt like someone you would see Will Ferrell play or something, but that is what worked in this bizarre environment. He wasn't normal, and they didn't treat him like a huge freak either.
The ending was a little ridiculous, even for that character, but it was certainly a massive twist to see Emma and Noah in the painting. We saw the transition visuals in the sky, but for the first time we got a glimpse that this may be a supernatural series.
