Great American Family has announced that production is complete on what is likely to be the most anticipated new holiday film of Great American Christmas 2024. The new family friendly movie is entitled A Christmas Less Traveled and features Bure in the role Desi, the owner of a diner who falls on hard times during the Christmas season. Desi revisits her past in a unique way, taking viewers on a nostalgic ride.
Here is the official synopsis from Great American Family: “The Dine and Dash Diner has a stack of mounting unpaid bills, forcing its owner, Desi (Bure), to sell her beloved, mint condition, cherry red 1964 Ford F-100, a gift from her deceased father. As Desi visits the vintage truck one last time, she discovers a recorded message from her dad on an old audio cassette.

Hallmark Channel is throwing its hat in the scripted series arena. The Crown Media-owned cable network has set Cedar Cove, a two-hour telefilm based on the book by Debbie Macomber that will serve as a backdoor pilot for the series.
