According to VancouverFilm.Net, The CW has finally confirmed actor Colton Haynes will return to "Arrow" in a reprisal of his role as crime-fighting vigilante archer 'Roy Harper', aka 'Arsenal':
"We're thrilled to announce that Colton Haynes will be reprising his role as Roy Harper for a short arc on Arrow this year", according to "Arrow" executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle.
"Roy is called back to 'Star City' to help resolve an urgent matter with high stakes for the team. His short visit turns into something surprising when he reunites with Thea and sparks a change in both of their lives that will have long-lasting consequences."
'Roy Harper' debuted in the Season One "Arrow" episode 'Dodger' as a thief who steals the purse of 'Thea Queen'.

One of the many great things about Arrow and its various sister series is that not only have they introduced us to more well known heroes like the Flash and Green Arrow himself, but they’ve also brought obscure characters such as the Elongated Man and Firestorm to the mainstream. But with the DC Universe being so expansive, there are obviously many others who’ve yet to join the party.
Of course, the two superheroes we’re discussing today have more so been on the wishlists of diehard comic book readers – or those who’ve seen them on one of several animated series – but we have to admit that they’d be fine additions to the Arrowverse, regardless.
To date, Booster Gold has been a stranger to the live action realm, barring a memorable guest role on Smallville. Though, in recent years, it’s been said that Warner Bros. have...

Oliver is his own worst enemy (and Felicity doesn't help) in the mid-season finale of Arrow. This episode follows an unusual pattern for one containing a wedding - it's dispensed with early on so that the real business of the episode can get underway, rather than being the moment of celebration and reflection at the end.
The wedding is mostly useful for allowing characters to point out how weird it was for Ollie and Felicity to get married in the way they did, and for the CW to display how little it understands about weddings. Thea and Felicity's mother are deservedly upset, which is a reminder of the fact that...

This Thursday in the Arrow fall finale, two big reveals threatened to cripple the team — from the outside and from within.

As Bruce and Diana say at the end of Justice League, there are always “room for more” heroes to join DC’s super-friends team in future movies. And while we don’t have exact confirmation on who else may be recruited into the League, one of the characters fans most want to see in a sequel is Dinah Lance Aka Black Canary, the squad’s second major female member after Wonder Woman. Even the Jl cast themselves have backed the idea.
Luckily, the perfect candidate for the part has already been decided upon, as fans are constantly crying out for Warner Bros. to sign up Katheryn Winnick (just look at BossLogic’s art below). Previously, the actress seemed into taking on the role when asked about it and it looks like she’s still game to try out her Canary Cry, at least going by a recent Tweet.

Arrow has a lot of ground to cover in the winter finale entitled "Irreconcilable Differences." Obviously, coming off the end of "Crisis on Earth-x" with Oliver and Felicity's surprise wedding (that must be dealt with) but before the Nazi invaded, Oliver had a fair bit going on in his life. Thea's awake from her coma, Cayden James is still out for revenge and the biggest concern as far as the episode is concerned is that Oliver is still under indictment as the Green Arrow. Nearly everything is touched on and that results in an action-packed episode that serves mostly to set up the back half of the season than being wholly satisfying in its own right.

Unlike Marvel, DC doesn’t allow their TV shows to play with their films. Granted, the House of Ideas doesn’t do very much crossover between the two mediums, but at least it’s permitted. The same can’t be said about their rival, however, as the DC Extended Universe is completely separate from shows like Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Still, that hasn’t stopped some of the television actors from voicing their interest in snagging a big screen role in the franchise.
The latest to speak up on the matter is Arrow star Stephen Amell, who was asked during a panel at Heroes & Villains Fan Fest San Jose if he’d be interested in joining a potential Justice League sequel. Justice League could have turned out to be extremely different had Warner Bros. moved forward with a script written by Will Beall (Gangster Squad, Aquaman) back in 2011. At the time, Ben Affleck was in talks to direct the film, so this would have been the script that he would have brought to life if things worked out. You have to remember, this script was written before Christopher Nolan even finished his Dark Knight trilogy, before Man of Steel was made.
The Wrap ended up getting their hands on a copy of the script and it sounds like it would have been a pretty epic and ambitious film! After reading some of these details, it's a shame that this never happened. Aquaman would not have been a part of the movie, Batman and Wonder Woman have a son together, Darkseid enslaves Superman, and Hawkman and Green Lantern join forces and fight alongside each other.

As you may or may not know, Warner Bros. began working on a Justice League movie back in 2011, which was a few years before Man of Steel came out and kicked off the DC Extended Universe in proper fashion. Though it never got off the ground, a script was written by Will Beall and thanks to The Wrap, who got their hands on a copy of it, we now know what the studio’s original plan for the Dceu was.
As you’ll see down below, the script details what sounds like a pretty wild movie and a far cry from what we ended up getting. With 28 characters, time travel, an insane plot and more, we’re actually thankful that we got what we did instead, despite its problems, and after hearing about what Beall’s story involved, you’ll probably feel the same.

Even though Greg Berlanti and company have crafted quite the interconnected DC Universe over on The CW, there are still some big names that have yet to put in appearances. And as awesome as those fall crossovers tend to be, it’s hard to imagine a DC Universe existing without certain characters – like Batman, for one.
Obviously, a lot of this has to do with the fact that there’s some red tape separating the film and television divisions at Warner Bros., but we’ve seen the suits become more liberal when it comes to spreading the wealth these days. Still, that hasn’t stopped Arrow from making use of major Batman villains over the years, with the likes of Ra’s al Ghul, Talia al Ghul and Anarky being but a few of them.
Given all that, it still came as quite the shock when Oliver Queen deflected public...

This November played host to a pair of DC superhero team-ups — the big screen’s Justice League and TV’s Arrowverse crossover. Which proved to be most super?
Justice League of course is a massive franchise film that cost a reported $300 million to make, and runs 120 minutes. The CW’s “Crisis on Earth-x” event meanwhile spanned about 160 total minutes across four episodes and cost… a whole lot less. (In general, an hour-long TV drama on the high side carries a $5 million price tag. And keep in mind, this is The CW.)

It’s very rare for a major Hollywood studio to produce and distribute a coming-of-age story centered around a closeted gay teenager. These kinds of stories are nothing new to independent film (see “Pariah,” “Mysterious Skin,” and more), but major studios have long avoided putting a gay protagonist front and center. 20th Century Fox will finally buck the trend next year with “Love, Simon,” starring Nick Robinson in the lead role.
The film is adapted from Becky Albertalli’s young adult novel “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda.” Robinson plays a closeted high school student who must deal with typical senior year struggles with friends and family all while battling the emotional turmoil of not coming out. Katherine Langford, Alexandra Shipp, Logan Miller, Jennifer Garner, and Josh Duhamel co-star.

Last night, we were treated to the opening two chapters of “Crisis on Earth-x” and, quite frankly, I was blown away. Not only did the latest Arrowverse crossover feature a new level of comic book-like craziness and fight choreography that was off the charts, but the writers hit all the right beats with the many characters involved, giving this mashup much heart. Seriously, they should be applauded for managing to make this thing coherent. But I guess one advantage that comes with producing something like this for television means much less studio interference than you’d get on the motion picture side of things.
Anyway, aside from learning the true identities of Earth-x’s Blitzen and Prometheus – in addition to the introduction of what looks to be a significant character – we learned the reason why Dark Arrow and company crashed Barry and Iris’ wedding. Basically, Oliver Queen’s Nazi doppelganger...

After transforming into the Slade Wilson Variety Hour for the past two weeks, Arrow is finally back to being Arrow in this week’s strong episode, as Oliver’s Thanksgiving celebrations are interrupted in a major way by both Agent Watson and Cayden James. Watson strikes first, arresting Oliver for being the Green Arrow at a Star City fundraising event he attends with Felicity and William. I want to start this feature by saying that I did not hate this film; I went into with severely lowered expectations after Suicide Squad (2016) and Batman V Superman (2016). I expected something more like these two films rather than Wonder Woman which was released earlier this year and was very enjoyable. With this in mind I will go through the good points first and then get into the bad areas, and also go through why this film suffered.
The film is a breezy 2 hours which, under studio interference, was a direct result of the Bvs near 3 hour run time. Although only 2 hours it does fit a lot into it and the story itself is simple enough to follow. There aren’t many twists or huge reveals which you haven’t seen before and the film maintains a swift pace through.
The characters are all well served baring a couple of exceptions.

Arrow‘s Thanksgiving-themed episode on Thursday was stuffed with dramatic developments — including the reveal of a Big Bad’s true beef and the return of a smiling face.
The holiday started off lovely enough for Oliver & Co., as he segued from a successful food drive to the unveiling of the (very quickly constructed) new police precinct. It was during the latter ceremony, though, where FBI Agent Watson showed up to arrest the mayor, in front of his son and the public, on charges related to his (alleged!) activities as the Green Arrow.

Even though we have what appears to be an awesome crossover in the form of “Crisis on Earth-x” to look forward to next week, the reality of the situation is that the bulk of whatever plots unfolding across each of the Arrowverse‘s individual shows will have to be put on hold for the time being. Previous promo images and posters have highlighted the league of heroes, but this new one-sheet puts the focus on the battle between good and evil.

If anything, November 2017 is going to be a month for DC fans to remember. Not only has Justice League arrived in theaters, but, in less than one week, The CW will be rolling out their next massive Arrowverse crossover, “Crisis on Earth-x.”
For those of you who have been keeping up, you know that the first promo for the big mashup began running the other week during broadcasts of Supergirl and its other sister shows. Sure, it may have been all of ten seconds, but it was enough to get us more than hyped.
More recently, we were treated to one sizable trailer proving that despite these shows not having the deep budget of their silver screen counterparts, that doesn’t mean they can’t make the dreams of comic book fans a reality. In short, we expect there to be much in the way of mind-blowing action sequences and sci-fi craziness.

After a couple of short teasers and a shed-load of promo images that have arrived over the past week, the first full trailer for this year’s Arrowverse crossover, titled “Crisis on Earth-x,” is finally here. It’ll be hard to top last year’s union of Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, but this new promo suggests that they might just have managed it.
The preview above mostly focuses on the set-up of the crossover: there aren’t many events that could unite the heroes of Star City, Central City, the whole of history and Earth-38, but the wedding of Barry Allen and Iris West is one of them. It looks to be a classically schmaltzy affair, with Barry saying that he’s got his happy ending and Joe getting weepy while he makes a speech. However, some party-crashers are on hand to wreck the occasion – a...

Once again the CW Dctv crossover event is upon us, And with it a trailer. Before we view the trailer let’s get to the meat of all this crossover madness.
So we start out with the fact that the wedding of Iris and Barry is finally here. Happiness, love and some tears are shared all around, but being that this is the DC universe we have to have our curveball thrown in at some point. The curveball that we will get are the denizens Earth X.
Earth X is a place where the Nazis won WWII and lets just say things are bad in this world. The superheroes we know now are part of a group called The New Reichsmen. In the comics this group consisted of Overman (Superman), Brunhilde (Wonder Woman), Leatherwing (Batman), Bltzen (Flash), Martian (Martian Manhunter) & Underwaterman (Aquaman). As far as the TV shows go, other than Flash,...

The latest promo for “Crisis On Earth-x” gives us our best look yet at the upcoming Arrowverse crossover, which is arriving later this month. Featuring the casts of Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl, the four-part event will see the assembled heroes face their own Nazi doppelgangers from the dystopian Earth-x.
This new trailer reveals that Barry and Iris’ wedding is crashed by Overgirl, the Supergirl of Earth-x. Luckily for our planet, though, the world’s finest heroes are on the case. In one awesome team shot, we see a line-up including Alex Danvers, Mister Terrific, Vixen, Wild Dog, White Canary, Flash, Steel, Green Arrow, Atom, Heatwave, Captain Cold, Zari and Black Canary.
Speaking of Captain Cold, we also get a glimpse at the Earth-x Leonard Snart, who looks to be a leading Nazi commander. Seeing as this is apparently Wentworth Miller’s final time in the Arrowverse,...

Arrow season 6 has seen a major shake-up of the series’ status quo. With his duties already split between being mayor of Star City and a father to his son William, Oliver Queen passed the mantle of Green Arrow onto his old buddy John Diggle back in episode 2. It’s been a bumpy ride for him, though, as the former soldier has been struggling to deal with both adjusting to being Team Arrow’s new leader and coping with his Ptsd after the events of the season 5 finale.
In next week’s episode, titled “Thanksgiving,” the real Green Arrow will return when Oliver Queen is forced to don the hood once again. It’s not clear exactly what prompts him to step back into active vigilante duty, but it’s likely that it has something to do with the return of Black Siren, Laurel Lance’s evil doppelganger from Earth-2, who...

Last year’s Arrowverse crossover – titled “Invasion!” – was already a pretty huge affair, but this fall’s “Crisis on Earth-x” event promises to be even bigger. On top of having the cast seeing double when they come up against their Nazi doppelgangers from another Earth, one of the stars has revealed the whopping amount of heroes who’ll take part in the crossover.
Ex-Superman actor Brandon Routh – who plays Ray Palmer/the Atom on Legends of Tomorrow – revealed a highlight of his that will occur in the event during a recent set visit. He announced that one scene in particular will see the united heroes of the Arrowverse come together on the bridge of the Waverider. And there’s going to be a heck of a lot of them.
“I have a limited adventure in the crossover, but I do get to work with a few people that we had a good time.

Now, we already know to expect loads of action and a level of comic book craziness reserved only for events of this magnitude, but it’s just a simple fact that the creative minds behind Arrow and its sister series will rely on other means to pad four hours of television as well.
As such, we’ll see how this multiversal battle will affect our heroes emotionally. According to Arrow executive producer Wendy Mericle, the Green Arrow himself will be at the center of it all:
“The biggest surprise will be the emotional component of the crossover. I don’t think anyone is going to see that coming.
