Great Episode
bbevis-4795424 June 2021
Slower paced with great performances and a fantastic ending. I do feel like the tension dissipated twenty minutes in and the forest chase was confusing and not intense IMO.

Overall white horse was a highlight of the season for me and close to greatness.

[6.8] Abram Cox please!
cjonesas25 June 2021
A philosophical episode, the sort of which made me bang my head against the wall in TWD. It was rich in emotion! And slow in action! Totally distasteful to the banger action flow of Black Summer.

Abram Cox, please, take back the reins and do the writing and directing yourself! No one equals your dexterity and hot flow! You are the king who should be in the driver's seat.

Braithwaite
ZegMaarJus30 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Trying to find Rose, Sun and Anna back. Spears meets Braithwaite in the woods. Braithwaite followed Spears for two days straight. Spears teams up with Braithwaite in the woods. Spears and Braithwaite are making a campfire together. Spears and Braithwaite are fighting with each other in the woods. Spears shot the Blind Man to death. Solid Episode of Black Summer Season 2, this was just okay. Not many exciting moments during this Episode. Spears has to regroup with Rose, Sun and Anna. Then there will be some great moments again i think. This Series is great but the idea and story isn't clear until now!

Excellent Performance by Bechir Sylvain

Best Episode of S02 so far. The writing was rich in emotions and the relationship between Spears and Breathwaite, which is also unfolds in the past, reached a dramatic high that caught my heart. Congrats for the monologue of Bechir Sylvain.

Different....but so, so good!
drewlmore-4776027 June 2021
I don't know what to say and fear if I say too much I risk a spoiler alert. So let's just say watch it, keep on watching and witness, for me, what was the highlight of the season ....so far.

Almost a film/story/narrative in its own right and this episode's strength lies not in the quality of the action but in the quality of the actors. Bravo.

Best S2 Episode Yet

Warning: Spoilers
I really like the chemistry between Spears and Brathwaite. I could watch a spin off revolving around these 2 characters. Every episode leading up to this one was like watching a friend play Call of Duty. This one had a lot more substance than the others.

... by Belchir Sylvain. What a good surprise! I sure hope to see more of this actor, he's a heavyweight, the best I've seen in quite some time. 🎉

Best 'zombie' show in a long while for me .

This is episode is particularly interesting because it covers some of the more human elements I often get curious about. A pretty big 'what if' is explored here in s2 episode 5 The ongoing , sort of ,backward story delivery had been working well without being gimmicky and It every bit as unsettling and suspenseful and the traditional way we get to know our cast.

I swore I wouldn't binge this but it's on.

Spears and Braithwaite

Really good episode. Slower than the previous ones, but still good TV. I really like these two characters and this season in general is a pleasant surprise!

Waste of time
griffinmichael9528 June 2021
Another waste of an hour of my time. Pointless and boring. Nothing like the first season, season 2 is a waste of time. Not even going to watch the final 3 episodes.

Amazing Episode
bapnunes20 July 2021
I almost gave on this TV Show on season 1, the action and overall zombie and apocalypse feeling was good and reminded me of good old DayZ days but there was so much inconsistency. I am so glad that I pushed through it. Season 2 was being much much better, better quality in the acting, camera angles, everyhting. BUT THIS EPISODE.... Let's just say i'm messaging everyone I know to watch this as a standalone because I think everyone needs to experience this. 10/10!

Example of good episode
Daxy_937 July 2021
An example of what an episode of a zombie series should look like. I'm talking about the atmosphere, the forest, the survival. In general, the previous episodes of the series had potential in my opinion, but it is unnecessary to mix five different stories in one episode. It's boring and confusing.

The Walking Dead missed a point a long time ago. They often focus on telling stories of their charachters and that's mistake.

Screenwriters need to understand that people love action, post-apocalyptic scenes, survival. Only when we meet the characters after a couple of episodes then you can gradually introduce us to what they did before the apocalypse etc. But again, you should not force that side of the story. More action and survival and less boring dialogues and drama.

Amazing Episode

Warning: Spoilers
Spoiler... I'm so glad he didn't shoot. It would have spoiled what was the best episode of a great season so far. The chemistry was great, the tension was palpable, and the acting was top notch.

Movie within a tv episode
garp-0262116 August 2023
I'm an old TWD fan. I watched season 1 and got sidetracked before coming back to this show and just watched this episode.

Had a good mixture of current zombie reality with understanding that our past travels with us no matter where we are.

At first I thought one of the characters wasn't really there but seen 2 many movies like that. This was even better. Not going to spoil the episode by giving any of it away but its worth the trip. I barely remembered the past episodes when saw this one but think even if you've never seen it before it could stand alone on its own.

To me it asks the question: Are all people no matter their past capable of change or are some of us incapable of change?

That's not how allergies work

Warning: Spoilers
The episode was good. My problem is that if Spencer really did have a peanut allergy he wouldn't be able to drink after Braithwraite ate the Payday because traces of it transfer to containers.

So incredibly boring
cmcphee19657 June 2022
Two guys talking about a pretend past in the hood. Who wrote this crap? Why would we want to watch such a boring episode? Finally at the end there was some action, but what was the point of all that talking about nothing?

Another Head Scratcher
bjohnsonc-9935030 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was a HUGE fan of season 1 and couldn't wait to finally binge season 2. It's feels like the magical mojo of the first season is gone. This episode was a good example. Didn't get what the history was between the characters or why spears was going to shoot him but ultimately didn't. Felt like filler to me.
