Somewhat Uneven Mockumentary

In the Army Now is the Latest Vivid Release by Director Chuck Lords. This Mockumentary/Comedy revolves around the world of Army Recruit Jenna Presley. Starts with Jenna coming into a recruiters office to enlist. She picks her potential job based on the type of uniform she would wear and promptly jumps into the first sex scene with Dick Delaware (Recruiter) and Carmella Bing (Secretary). We then move to Jenna and Monique Alexander going into the office of Jack Venice while he has sex with Aline. Monique joins the action. We cut to Jenna now in intelligence interrogating Charles Dera. This is set up based on current issues with Iraq. Dera is trying to play an Iraqi enemy combatant and Monique Alexander is also there playing a middle eastern female (in complete garb). We then see Jenna in undercover work with a sultan (Alex Gonz) and some Harem girls (Lorena Sanchez - Angel Valentine). This movie is somewhat disappointing for an actual feature. very poorly written. Jenna Presley does have enough acting skills to have been pretty good (You can see her in soft core films and the Cinemax series Co Ed Confidential). The hope initially was this being an erotic spoof in the likes of Private Benjamin. It came nowhere close to this. The Sex Scenes are pretty good and well shot with attractive performers. This is the reason for the grade since many will watch this for only the sex scenes.

The lead actress doesn't even look like Monique Alexander in Paul Thomas's lame service comedy "In the Army Now" -not the original cute Monique PT helped launch in so many Vivid videos more than a decade ago nor the breasts-inflated MILF she now plays in various Brazzers vignettes. In the BTS short subject, where PT pretends to be the fictional "Chuck Lords" (perhaps wise given how crummy this film is) the lead actress is identified on screen as Jenny Hendrix, not Monique, so I was thoroughly confused.

At any rate, the burlesque sketches that lead to XXX sex content are stupid throughout, and the mechanical sex dull. Male cast is extremely poor, on the level of a random Penthouse video of the period (shot in 2007 and released in 2009). Apparently this was generic junk Vivid put out to satisfy demand for its contract girls back in the day, this one tied to Alexander even if she did not actually star?

Not sure what the fans thought about it back in 2009, but it is hardly watchable today, other than to identify Alexander or Hendrix for the record.
