The Fugitive
Released August 6th 1993
Director: Andrew Davis
Writers: Jeb Stuart, David Twohy
Stars: Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones
Chicago surgeon Dr. Richard Kimble, unjustly accused of murdering his wife, must find the real killer, and the reasons for the slaying, after being targeted in a nationwide manhunt led by tenacious United States Deputy Marshal Sam Gerard.
The Fugitive turned 20 years old this summer and will be celebrating with a special edition Blu-ray that will be released on September 17, 2013. The film still holds a place near and dear to me as not just one of the best thrillers ever made but one of the best movies ever made, period.
The film based on the 1960s classic TV series, stars Harrison Ford as wrongly-convicted Dr. Richard Kimble and Tommy Lee Jones in his Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning performance as Deputy Marshal Sam Gerard. The Fugitive garnered seven Academy Award nominations including Best Picture.
