These two Pure Taboo stories have a similar starting point: girl in trouble, asking a man for help. What happens next is markedly different between the two: title scene wallows for the umpteenth time in the series' misogyny, while supporting vignette "I'll Take Care of You" is sympathetic and quasi-upbeat for a change.

Whitney Wright is very sympathetic in the opener: a teen who's escaped from a cult with her younger sister, seeking aid from assigned social worker Derrick Pierce. In the very tedious set-up, they chronicle her case history and then with utter predictability he blackmails her into having sex with him. An hour later at the end of the scene, the plot twist merely piles on more misogyny.

In contrast, second hour-long opus offers hope and something besides the series' repetitive "all men are bad" theme. In flashback we see Maya Kendrick receive a creampie after sex from her boyfriend Nathan Bronson, and two weeks later she finds herself pregnant.

Going to Nathan's daddy Eric Masterson she tells him her tale of woe, and Eric agrees to help her, but first humps her, in a friendly (for this series) sort of way. Turns out Eric is a good guy, something nearly unique in Pure Taboo land.
