I'm done with alex being so rude and disrespectful towards chip every single scene! He's doing the best he can to make her happy and comfortable as her producer the entire series, in contrast she's nothing but very mean to him.. stella is very annoying and very unnecessary character i really cannot stand her .. Mia is very abrasive towards chip too just because he was trying to help!! I didn't know why she took it so personally when he had well intentions they been working together for so long and nothing can justify her abrasive tune with him.. in contrast A random woman disrespectfully ignored him in the office is completely justified!! .. what about the double standards here??

I feel like women in this show are very angry for no apparent reason and behaving cruel towards men for absolutely no reason!!!

I know men can be assholes but you don't need to do women like that!

Yanko didn't deserve to be treated this way for a mistake that he didn't make and accusing him to be racist when he in fact WAS NOT.. just because the bosses mia and stella said so??, I don't get are they the bosses of the network now??

Like yeah the work atmosphere can be misogynistic as hell and the patriarchy hurt so many women over the decades and feminism is necessary to obtain the social, political and economic equality of the sexes. But I don't think that making women bossy/aggressive/rude is the way to go for that. It has nothing with female empowerment anymore.. We don't need to recycle all the filth that men did but instead they're women this time..

thanks for bradly storyline who really saved this episode i'm loving her new story with laura this season.

The woke nation seriously talks about this Your a buffoon if you think spirit animal is bad to say. My grams was 100% American Indian, I could care less if you say that, we have bigger issues in this world. But love that the tv show brings it up.

Alex levy is the real leading role .

In this episode, the writing of the script is a disaster. The only thing I can feel gratified is that Alex levy maintains her true color. Alex levy is the only real flesh and blood character in the whole play, and she is the soul of the play. That's why this episode is so bad, The screenwriter didn't give Alex levy more time to show how she could gain a foothold in the press. The explanation was weak, but Jennifer Aniston deeply understood the role and her performance was far better than RW.

The low ratings seem to be based on a complete misunderstanding that the episode is promoting the philosophies of a woke society whereas in reality it's exposing some of the ridiculousness of the extreme political sensitivities that stand in the way of common sense.

What a mess

Cory wants Alex to do it, Bradley thinks she should do it, and Daniel says he wants to do it. Stella is probably feeling like banging her head somewhere for sure because of all the drama. Yanko lands in trouble because of a remark he made in one of the episodes. While the TMS is enjoying being the top trend because of Alex, Mitch and Paola are having a good time together. Yes, they're working for her documentary, but I still don't know the point of giving him attention. Cory has his drama going on with the boards regarding Fred, his position and saving Bradley's job. Bradley is now dating Laura and has decided to forgive Cory. Cory, naturally, is thrilled, and more determined than ever to quietly settle any Hannah-related business that might upset his newfound success, be it the lawsuit from her family or the salacious news items that disgusting former network head Fred keeps seedin gin the paper. Her confrontation with Alex - a last-ditch attempt to get her to accept the Democratic debate moderator position that turns into a heartfelt plea for her to also accept the responsibility that comes with being crowned a feminist icon - is riveting television and our clearest look yet into both who Stella is and how Alex still sees herself in the wake of what happened with Mitch. For many women, a lot of whom comprise The Morning Show's core viewing demographic, Alex is a hero for finally calling out the system she herself was at least vaguely complicit in upholding. Alex, fairly, has some complicated feelings about that, but Stella does make a really valid point. But "Kill the Fatted Calf" is a perfect example of how, when The Morning Show is unwilling to really pick a side when it counts. It's why Mitch is, inexplicably, still part of this show. It's why the show talks out of both sides of its mouth when it comes to subplots like Yanko's use of "spirit animal" on-air. And it's why the show can simultaneously preach about the challenges that people of color like Daniel and Mia face in the media industry while giving both of those characters absolutely nothing of import to do.

I feel like this show is never horrible, but it just feels like a lot of overdone storylines week after week. The main actors don't feel as invested in the concept this year either.

What happened to the terrific character study that was season 1? This is a hot mess. Terrible writing. These people are so artificial, so preachy. Who speaks like this? I get that the morning show they all work on is a parable for society in general. What I don't get is the extreme pretense with which the parable is delivered.

There is simply too much talent here to account for the trainwreck that is season 2 thus far.

... that displayed a lot of todays themes, from bisexuality to fights for equality & business over morality. The show is doing great and the actresses & actors are very spot on. Of course you have that portion of "Dear White People" who want to live in their little fairy world without having to watch problems that exist in the real world. Their bleating is turning up at every show that's more inclusive than it used to be in the past tv eras. Luckily the makers don't care about that.

Credibility: Strained

This episode was all over the place. Alex is back on the set but doesn't seem to have anything to do except being feted. Bradley is suddenly of fluid sexual orientation. Yanks is under attack from a Twitter mob. The Board Chair hates Corey. Daniel follows the time-honoured tradition of going rogue on-set. And Stella makes us all wonder who the heck hired her and why, as she seems totally inept except for being the personification of woke-ism. It all strains whatever credibility the series has built up. This one was just a mess.

Best ep so far

Oh so many layers! The relationship between Cory and Bradley. Mitch's excommunication. Charlie's boomerang experience. Waiting for Laura to show her true colours. Daniel either clasping at straws or a brilliant strategy. Alex's privilege. Stella... oh she is brilliant! This episode showed the complexity of humanity in obvious and subtle ways. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds.

Maybe I am missing it but what is the point of the show? I am in episode four of the show and nothing really matters. No important storylines and it feels superficial throughout!

Fan of the show, but WTF was that episode?

Everyone is yelling at someone for little or no reason. If that's all relevant to the show then there's too much going on. But, but it really seems pointless.

I'll suggest a maximum of two conflicts in an episode, preferably a primary & secondary.

All these squabbles don't make for a coherent story line.

I miss the first season

Was on the fence so far in this 2nd season. Not terrible. Was waiting for a big turn and for me to be locked in and obsessed like I was watching the first season. After this episode I am debating whether to keep watching. It was dreadful.

No storyline, boring terrible writing

Season 1 was okay not the best but it was watchable and had a point. This season has had some okay episodes and appreciated it take a few to set up storylines but now at episode 4 it's just messy..I don't know the point at all. Terrible writing, characters have no depth, it's all surface level and weird. There is the Required identity politics awkwardly placed in- I really don't mind shows having a political view but hardly any show does it well. It's like a ripped off version of the worst of Twitter stories. Like the fed up black guy who is experiencing discrimination just decides to belt out a Neil diamond song on TV as a response to his frustration. What? Then the president of news yelling at her boss that she was just hired bc she was young and Asian, then a weird conversation with RW character about if she is bisexual /gay that turns into the older character getting mad that she has it too easy and using her southern accent as an identity? It was awkward convos that would ever happen irl like this and were so stilted. Then a storyline about the weatherman saying spirit animals and getting mobbed on Twitter. I could see this happening and was kind of funny. But - if writers don't know how to incorporate these issues as natural storylines rather than quick awkward scenes, don't bother. I just don't understand what the show is about now. It's not fun and soapy nor is it saying anything larger. It's just a bunch of surface characters in awkward long scenes.

Characters Hard to Like (Some)

I'm not enjoying this season as much as season 1. In season 1, sometimes it felt like characters were behaving badly or making unwise choices or in conflict with each other, but it always felt like there was a human, relatable side to them. You rooted for them even as they made mistakes. Often two characters were working at odds with each other (e.g. Alex and Bradley) and you always understood each side. This season, there are too many unlikeable characters. The worst is Stella. She wears a sour expression 24/7 and looks for the worst in everyone. Other characters have their own champagne problems and it doesn't seem relatable at all. It just seems like they're all acting like brats. Bradley and Daniel are also hard to like this season. This season it feels like the characters are angry or overly sensitive or being pitted against each other or assuming the worst just to create conflict, whereas last season, it felt more realistic. Hopefully, it improves.

I also felt like season 1 presented many sides of the #MeToo issue in a thought-provoking way that allowed you to draw your own conclusions. This season, I can't get a bead on the tone, but I feels like it ventures into preachy territory sometimes. We'll see where it goes...

Such a disappointment

From season 1 when I couldn't wait to watch the next episode we have gone to a situation where I am wondering if I should bother to watch another episode. My partner has now given notice she's not going to bother and I might do the same though I don't like to quit on a series. There are really no plot lines that make me want to know what happens next. This is probably the worst contrast between two series that I can recall.

Season 2 can hardly be called a TV series. It is a series of dialogues from different people that cannot be imagined in reality. The way the episode is accused of racism and sexism looks ridiculous for any normal, adequate and sane person. Apparently the screenwriter is not one of them.

I loved the 1st season of this show

Season 1 was mind blowing TV & I would never get tired of watching any of those 10 episodes from S1 but I seriously have to question what has happened with the writer's & the jumbled storylines of S2. I appreciate that following on from such a compelling S1 is a bit like "2nd album syndrome" but come on.........it's like the writers have realised that the 1st couple of episodes in the new season haven't really caught the imagination & now they have flipped Bradley Jackson into a bi-sexual woman in a bid to make things controversial - & to jump start an already flagging storyline - everything is being targeted now from racial stereotypes to the pampered white male privileged existence in the last bastion of male dominance ie TV & Film. Anyway I thought that E4 was in parts the weakest of all the new episodes (the song & dance routine by Daniel epitomises the lack of cohesion in the script writing) Although some of the scenes were as good as anything we have seen this time around, the ending gibes me a bit of hope for next week's episodes.

Flat and Unlikable Characters

Adding the character of Stella Bak has done nothing for the show. If anything, it's brought it down a few stars. But she's not alone. Daniel is more whiny and the young guy who just walks around the studio updating people on what Twitter is saying?

Maybe that's the plot of this season. The devolution of an organization when you start indulging the culture mob. However, it is definitely making this season much less enjoyable.

I'm not fussed about the whole Spirit Animal thing - I can see both sides. That wasn't the main problem with "Kill The Fatted Calf".

This whole episode is very disjointed. There's a lot of pauses and mood changes & it's assumed that the audience can read what the characters are thinking when not enough context is present on the surface. It's very arrogant direction and the storyline doesn't have enough clout to save the episode.

I've enjoyed the series up to this point, so I think (hope) that this is a bit of a one-off.

Mitch + the Italian Lady are the only characters that keep this episode even remotely interesting.
