ground level environmentalism
SnoopyStyle11 September 2022
It's a dry hot place in western Spain. The land has been degraded over the years with monoculture farming. Some are trying to introduce better farming techniques to rejuvenate the land.

I love showing real world implementation of environmental practices. There is real differences of opinions. It might be minutia for a non-farmer like me but I appreciate the argument over trimming the trees. There are limitations to this film. They're not showing the wider conditions of the area and that's before global warming is considered. This could do more to explain the local politics and the general state of farming. Obviously, the reintroduction of wolves is controversial. Maybe it could give more information about the fallout. All in all, I really appreciate giving some ground level talk to the heads-in-the-clouds issue of environmental protection.
