Universal Networks International have announced the acquisition of a brand-new web series for the Syfy UK. Syfy.co.uk will stream the UK online premiere of Buried Alive, a 15 x 10 minute for-web drama distributed by Sony Pictures Television.
The suspense-filled series is set to unfold over a four week period, with new episodes posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 13:00 GMT. Followers will witness a race-against-time as brother and sister Travis (Jeff Blum) and Melanie (Brit Morgan) struggle to uncover the hidden location of five abducted students, buried alive with rapidly depleting air and no-one to hear their screams.

Fango spent some time on the set of Angel Of Death and came back with exclusive pics and video (see the former below the cut and the latter at the bottom of the page) from the White Rock Lake Productions series. It premieres today on Sony Pictures Entertainment’s on-line video network Crackle.com, with subsequent episodes airing each weekday through March 13 before the show is released in its entirety to DVD (details to be announced).

Zoe Bell is about to take front and center of a few million LCD screens this February. And it's about time. We have to admit we've been looking forward to this trailer (above) since we took a visit to the set of Crackle's new action thriller web series Angel of Death, which stars the New Zealand stuntwoman-actress (Bell) as Eve, a vengeful assassin out to "right the wrongs" of all those vicious cold-hearted hits. That's all after a near-death wound to the head delivers visions of her past victims. Really? Well, thankfully comic mastermind Ed Brubaker, known for his gritty crime fiction (and a couple of Eisner Awards), wrote the series and will most likely keep it out of the ridiculous bin. Bell, of course is the longtime stuntwoman for former Xena star Lucy Lawless, who co-stars as Bell's weary neighbor Vera. Rounding out the cast are Doug Jones, Ted Raimi...
