For Goodness Sake, Gary...
wetmars8 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This premier is so weird and I like it! Sara is always kicking ass like she does, I am still surprised that Gary is an alien, well done twist. I liked the Alien reference, too. Not gonna lie, but I dig those monster designs. Of course, the CGI is terrible but come on. I can't wait for more!

good episode, reminded me of something
I'm sorry but isn't this just the plot to Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe?

Great Start to the Season!

Warning: Spoilers
I've missed Legends so much! I didn't realize just how much I love this show and the characters until they were gone for almost a year.

Loved the opening with Mick cleaning up the mess the drunken Legends had made after the Season 5 finale, and loved Ava's reactions! (Especially to Constantine and Zari!) I haven't decided where I stand on their relationship yet.

It was cool to see how they found out Sara was abducted and who they found out from. Also the Legends writers released the whole song on their Twitter. Check it out if you haven't.

Gary being an alien was honestly not surprising but a bit of a retcon. Loved the glasses nod though - Legends has veered off considerably from trying to use things from actual DC lore, but that was a fun Clark Kent nod.

And speaking of supers, kudos for the DEO reference!

Loved seeing Sara still kicking ass and taking names, and there's a hilarious, somewhat/somewhat not subtle dig at Marvel with one of her lines. And oh my gosh, the reveal of Sara wanting to propose to Ava and then the way Ava gets to speak to Sara and motivate her to escape from the cryofreeze made my heart melt! Those were such great scenes!

So Legends is back and wacky and I love it. Even when sometimes things get a little too weird, the writers are always good at writing character. They can do drama and emotion just as well as the goofball, which is a breath of fresh air, even though I love my straight up serious dramas (Arrow) too. And the writers are so clever as well! I love space and aliens so I can't wait to see where this season goes! Very much looking forward to seeing Sara's journey this season!

Great premiere! I've missed LOT so lad it's finally back.
ldamena3 May 2021
While this show excels in comedy and being weird it also has moments where it shows it has the same level of emotion that all the other Arrowverse shows do. This ep was one of them:Legends has never been big on romance but this ep had it ten fold. Loved all the stuff with Ava and Sara & also John and Zari, they got some chem going on. I'm glad they are focusing a little more on the romance while still keeping the level of insane weird comedy. The reveal of who Gary is WTF? And LOL. Sara's scenes on the ship were top notch, that's my girl! Also pop culture that last fight scene reminded me of Alien and Ripley. This season of LOT is gonna be fun and I can't wait.

Amazing Premiere!!! Warning: Spoilers
This honestly could be the best season yet, I just finished the premiere and it was fantastic, it had some twists I never saw coming, it had everything you could want in a premiere. I'm someone who embraces the wacky misadventures they go on now, I know it's still difficult for many people to accept the way legends became but to me, legends is the best when it's like this. Thank you writers for this amazing show, one of the best arrowverse shows ever, and definitely the most creative arrowverse show. Oh I forgot to mention, legends is amazing at representation especially with lgbtq, they treat Ava and Sara as a completely normal couple like they should, they don't throw it in our faces, they don't make a big deal about it, they treat this couple as they would a straight couple and that's what makes this show so special. I've personally never seen a show do it this well, they deserve all the praise.

Warning: Spoilers
In my opinion this is the best series opener of the entire show. The regular cast is great, the new addition to the team Esperanza is brilliant and i love all the alien designs. Throw in some great twists and some phenomenal moments and you have this brilliant episode?

Not bad... for a human.

Warning: Spoilers
This is how you do it, Flash writers room! This is how you execute on things you've set up! Legends continues to be the Arrowverse's best show by default, due in no small part because they can't really connect with the larger Arrowverse. I can't express enough how much I LOVE Legends of Tomorrow! This show always seems to calm me down after a long day of stress, due in no small part to the fact that I can use it to simply turn my brain off! Legends knows exactly what it is, and it's able to take advantage of its ridiculousness so well. It actually makes me so happy to see this show back.

Spooner is a fun new edition, and Lisseth Chavez seems to be a very over the top actress, which is just perfect for this show. She easily fits in with the rest of the team. It's cool seeing her little mannerisms, like her accent, and her use of tin foil in her hat.

Gary being an alien is a bit of a retcon, but it's one I can at least enjoy. I don't really have much of a comment on it except for that though. Though I did enjoy that little nod to Clark Kent with the glasses. Nobody recognizes that Gary's actually an alien because he's wearing a pair of glasses. It's very much a wink and a nod to DC fans, and looking back on it, it makes me smile.

The Ava clipboard scene was great. Nice bit of levity in an episode that was very story based.

The Alien cgi wasn't bad. I mean, it's not hard to tell that it was cgi, but it was cool to see on screen. I don't need hyper realistic cgi like on WandaVision or Stargirl as long as the cgi is either consistent, or constantly improving.

Seeing that Sara was gonna propose to Ava was so heartwarming! Sara deserves a happy ending after everything she's gone through. So happy for her and Ava!

Legends is known for being wacky and over the top, but they own it! The writers were able to turn something fans didn't seem to like into a full on comedy series that just so happens to feature superheroes, and just so happens to also be well written. It's not exactly a parody of itself, but even if it is, it's at least fun and enjoyable. Welcome back, Legends! We missed you so much!

it was really good until the 20minute mark
agentsofsword3 May 2021
I really enjoyed this episode until the 20 minute mark when it got kinda bad?

When the girl with alien thingy came I think they were trying to make her scary but she's not scary not even a little bit the writers wanted us to feel danger or something but it didn't work. The first 20 minutes are great!! The cgi/visuals improved especially with the alien's ship and space and i think the alien design is terrible. What happened to Sara and Ava's badass fighting skills? Ava can't defend herself with a gun in front of her? If this is season 3 ava she would've been a badass and what's up with Gary? I cant believe i used to like him LOL

only if the writing for the first 20 minutes were the same until the end of the episode it would've been good but it's the first ep of season 7! I hope it gets good and when sara said she was gonna propose that made me so happy :D.

MEh its the Sara and Eva love romance story
Well this show was getting weirder and weirder. I have to say I liked the second season the best. After that it was ok.

Now Basically its the Sara and Eva romance story. The other guys are just there to be there. Of course Sara and Eva are perfect and strong and can beat guys, aliens twice their size. And usually the men are dumb of course. This show joins the other woke crap shows. Cant relate to it anymore as a guy.

CW's funnest DC show is back Warning: Spoilers
Legends of Tomorrow is back, and this season they've brought aliens.

This is was only the first episode of the season, so I wasn't expecting a surprise twist. Not only is it fan favorite Gary Green's fault the Legends are dealing with aliens, but Gary himself is an alien. WHAT?! He's also the one who took Sara.

I can't wait to see what time traveling, and alien adventures the Legends are going to have this season, but I'm sure they are going to be fun to watch.

Struggling to find a reason for this show!
cecilstolberg8 July 2021
This show was always a marginal spinoff from Arrow and Flash, but gets worse season by season!

It's bad enough that the makers think it appropriate to force their "Wokeness" upon us but now the scrips have degenerated into a comedy farce! The new titles sequence is a joke!

A line by Tala Ashe who plays Zari, "How did I get here?" sums it up!

Think it's time to bid it farewell!
