The most unusual suspect
sol121827 May 2012
Warning: Spoilers
**SPOILERS*** Brain twisting slasher flick that runs out of gas halfway through its story when you start to realize that the only survivor of a massacre on Fear Island is on the verge of being committed. The survivor Jenna, Hayfie Duff, was found wondering aimlessly around the deserted island with a bloody knife on her. Having no memory of what happened and even whom she is Jenna is interrogated by both local detective Amory, Martin Cummins, and police psychiatrist Dr. Jamie Chalice, Anne Marie DeLuise. Suspcted in the brutal murder of six collage students on the island as well as their pet dog Perrier Jenna's memory slowly starts to come back in a series of episodes or flashbacks where we as well as Det. Amory and Dr. Chalice start to make some sense of this tragedy. The only problem is that they have to take Jenna's word on what happened to the students since no one else is alive collaborate it!

As the movie goes on or plods along that suddenly almost out of the blue a new element or character is added to it in the young girl Regina, Brenna O'Brien. It's Regina who turns out to be the key to what happened in the movie but as we soon find out she's been killed off before the film even started! It was Regina's death that set into motion the series of brutal murders on the island. But who committed them only Jenna in her subconscious mind knows. And as her memory starts to return she'll be able to identify who the killer is that's if the killer doesn't get to her first!

***SPOILERS**** The big surprise is saved for the very end when Jenna's parents who were on a trip to Cambodia came to the hospital to visit their very disturbed and heavily medicated daughter. It's then that the whole truth came out to what Jenna knew about the string of killings as well as who she really is. But by then most of us watching had figured that all out making the big and unexpected "surprise ending" anti-climatic.

Nothing Noteworthy
sddavis6330 March 2010
This is basically another story of a group of young people who head off to have a good time but find themselves stalked by a maniacal killer. The story is told by flashback, as the sole survivor relates what happened on the secluded island the group had sailed to. So the overall story isn't especially original. It is, however, a pretty good mystery, and there's no obvious solution to the mystery until rather late in the movie - and, even then, what seems to be the solution has an unexpected twist thrown in. The performances in the movie are decent - perhaps a bit better than what you normally find in these movies. Because it is so unoriginal, the whole thing seems to drag a bit at times as you wait for the mystery to be revealed. So, there's nothing especially noteworthy about this. It's OK, but the story has been basically told before - and many times before.

Move along, folks - nothing to see here

I try to find something to say about most films, but with Fear Island, I have to warn you that this 'review' will be pretty short.

It's hard to imagine a more 'average' film than this. I do like a daft 'slasher' flick as much as the next gore-hound, but this brought absolute zero to the genre.

I know all slasher movies have had the bar raised in 1997 by Scream, but at least some try to be original.

Fear Island is about a group of friends who go to stay on an island and mysteriously start getting picked off one by one. Hopefully, this won't spoil too much when I say that the film opens with one traumatised girl being found on said island by the authorities. The film then consists of her account of what happened to her friends to a police detective and criminal psychologist. I found that this kind of tells you most of what you need to know about the film. You never have to guess who will survive as you already know that from the start.

Normally, you may at least get a few amusing/interesting/disgusting kills. Not here. There's hardly any gore and what little there is comes few and far between. I know that no one expects an Oscar-worthy performance in a teen slasher film, but, seriously, the killer might as well be hunting trees since the actors are so wooden (even 'Jinx' from Warehouse 13 can't elevate it at all). Then there's the most clichéd detective ever to be put on film who's in charge of the (meagre) investigation. He spends most of his time barking stilted dialogue at an unfeasibly attractive, intelligent and calm psychologist.

Some film you can watch if you're bored. However, this is not even one of them. If you like slasher films and are in the mood to sit through one. My advice would be to put one of your own DVDs on. This one isn't worth the time.

Fear Island
Scarecrow-887 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
The other Duff sister gets her own slasher vehicle, a real dud with a twist you can see coming a mile away. A group of hot-looking college kids decide to yacht to a nice island retreat for some partying which turns sour really quickly when a killer, with a reason for his/her vengeance, ruins the festivities, murdering them one by one, leaving "clues" as to why each member is a victim, words in white paint, like INNOCENT and GUILTY. It all could be the result of a cruel sex prank played on an attractive but unpopular nobody in their school who went missing shortly afterward. The movie goes back and forth between a detective and psychologist questioning amnesia-stricken Hayley Duff and her reports (as they return to her supposedly in fragments told in jarring flashbacks) and the events that supposedly transpired during the death weekend on Fear Island. The movie pretty much casts doubt on Duff immediately because Haley isn't much of an actress who can play a tragic victim that convincingly or maybe it was the poor direction which never allows us to believe she is telling us the whole truth. I rarely believed much of anything the flashbacks were telling me and the psychologist, who seems to be on her side at first, while the detective is hard-nose-to-the-grindstone with her at the onset soon thinks she might be a victim instead of killer (which tells you how stupid his character is as I'm no detective and Duff practically has guilty stamped on her forehead due to her fishy, suspicious performance), denounces large pieces of her fractured testimony as not wholly matching the evidence recovered at the crime scene. Yet, this slasher film expects us to swallow the conclusion where the psychologist, who has reservations about Duff's innocence, actually accepts a drink from her before the parents are about to arrive, just proving that someone who is skilled at reading behavior doesn't seem so smart when it matters most. The scenes on the island are of the tiresome PG-13 variety, with characters right out of a I Know What You Did Last Summer sequel. None of the kill-scenes will leave you very overwhelmed..a rattlesnake bite to the chest is really as gory as it gets as most of the deaths are of the off-screen variety. Boring, with zero thrills, "Fear Island" will induce heavy snoring.

Lame Story, Screenplay, Narrative and Characters
claudio_carvalho16 December 2011
The police find an amnesic young woman alone in an island with a large knife covered in blood and her six friends murdered. Detective Armory (Martin Cummins) suspects that she kills her friends but the psychiatrist Dr. Jamie Chalice (Anne Marie DeLuise) tells him that she is in shock and need to be treated. Sooner she recalls her name, Jenna (Haylie Duff), and Detective Armory calls her parents that are in Cambodia.

While they are traveling back home, Jenna tells what had happened to the group of friends. The former skeptic Detective Armory fells sorry for Jenna, but Dr. Chalice feels that her story has many inconsistencies and something might be wrong.

"Fear Island" is a boring film with lame story, screenplay, narrative and characters. The plot is absolutely predictable and dull; the screenplay is also terrible, with a tedious narrative; but the characters are the worst, most of them non likable with the exception of Dr. Chalice. Detective Armory, for example, is a cliché of a police detective. This plot could be a reasonable short but not a feature. My vote is three.

Title (Brazil): "Pânico na Ilha" ("Panic in the Island")

Fear Island (terrible title)
jonathanruano28 May 2010
Warning: Spoilers
"Fear Island" is a teen horror film about a psychotic murderer killing teens on an island. It is a cross between "I still know what you did last summer" and "The Usual Suspects" - and that is its problem. "Fear Island," apart from having a terrible title (can you think of a less original title than "Fear Island"?,)is too formula-driven and obviously a rip off of other films. When I watched "Fear Island," it struck me that no one who was involved in the making of this movie wanted to do anything intelligent or novel with the plot or the characters. I read the other two reviews and they credit the film for its twist at the end(though their applause is very tepid), but even that twist was ripped off from another movie, called "The Usual Suspects." Indeed, if you watch the ending of "Fear Island" and the ending of "The Usual Suspects," you are essentially watching the same film.

There are also problems with the logic in the storyline. By the time "Fear Island" was released, most teens would have owned their second or third cellphone, which raises the question of why none of the characters in this film had cell phones to call the police when they realized that there was a killer on the island. Perhaps they missed out on the technological revolution, not to mention pop culture. The other logical problem is with the interrogators - a male police officer and a female psychologist. The former is convinced that Jenna (Haylie Duff) is the killer, while the latter is more skeptical. But by the end of the film, they both arrive at the opposite conclusion. Why? Don't they listen to each other? Didn't it occur to them to have a meeting of minds? Do police solve crimes by operating in their own little bubbles? In the minds of the people who made this film, apparently so. Also there is only one killer on the entire island and he has no lethal weapon (like a gun or explosives), which raises the logical question of why he is so successful in wiping out the teens, three of whom do bench presses in their spare time. Are the teens so stupid that they cannot find an intelligent way to murder or imprison one killer? The final problem is with the characters. There is not one sympathetic character in this entire movie. As Jenna (Haylie Duff) pointed out early in the film, her friends went to the island to have sex, get drunk or both. Now people who live only for the purpose of drinking and having sex are unlikely to generate much sympathy (in fact I was more interested in the possibility of sex scenes) -- which is why we really do not care when they get killed and that is the main reason why this film does not succeed at being scary. Furthermore, the fact that these characters are stupid means that they are not interesting to watch either. So what you essentially have are a bunch of boring, brainless teens who are not worth caring about who are systematically killed over the course of the film in rather unoriginal ways by a somewhat more intelligent mass murderer. So thumbs down for me.

An exciting little whodunit with a twist ending. It has the four teenagers going to a cabin stereotype, the suspense of a slowly unraveling mystery.

Beer Island
BakuryuuTyranno31 October 2011
The film starts out with a girl being found on an island. Later she's interrogated by police and starts to explain what happened...

Seen any horror films where the introductory elements feature either someone telling the story secondhand, a psychologist/phychiatrist or mental asylum? Any recent ones?

Congratulations, you could probably guess how this movie turns out, because you've seen this overused twist before.

But there's more - emulating "House of the Dead", we're already told the other characters died, meaning even this in-story story has an obvious outcome.

Well everythings predictable, at least gorehounds have something worth watching... actually wait, the kills usually happen offscreen.

Horrible script and no common sense
c-e-ofor9131 July 2011
Warning: Spoilers
(Contains spoilers) Unless im missing something here everyone involved in this movie did not give any effort to solving the so called mystery. The script does not work in anyway unless you decide not to do things that anyone trying to solve a case would do. They had a picture of the believed "Meghan" all along and were able to see that Jenna(Duff) and Ashton never dated. So why were they not able to verify anyones true identity. Were there no school photos or anything to look at and see that someone is not who they say they are. If they were able to get a headshot of "meghan" was there no name attached to it. I mean they simply just listened to a crazy girls story without trying to verify anyones identity.

The only way the movie works is if you believe that there was no way to verify anyones true identity and not find peoples true family connections. They were able to find Jennas parents but couldn't find the real sister. The whole movie makes no sense and they basically just sat around and listened to a girl talk and then let her go. It was a bad movie with an unbelievable plot.

Fear Island--Afraid So
brooklyn-gilmore12 September 2012
Netflix is like celebrating Christmas every day. I can surf Netflix and find a satisfying film or television show to watch every night. The most recent film I took the time to see is "Fear Island." "Fear Island" (2009) is a horror/thriller film directed by Michael Storey.

Five students set out to party on a desolate island. Things go array when Jenna, the only surviving person, is interrogated by Detective Armory and Psychiatrist Jamie Chalice. It is while Jenna is being interrogated, the audience is drawn into Jenna's storytelling capabilities and is left with an uneasy feeling as to whom the mysterious killer really is.

This horror film draws my attention immediately. I'm captivated by the storyline, plot, theme, and character profiles. I am hooked. Who is the killer? If it's not Jenna then who? Because I am actively living this creepy scenario, continuously drawing conclusions, replaying the six character profiles in my head while looking for clues, makes my heart skip a beat. The music escalates to the fast-pace of a pulse, da-da, da- da, da-da. All of a sudden a snake leaps out of a cupboard, and I jump three feet off my bed. Holding my heart, I catch my breath, "Geezeee," I shout at the computer.

After gathering my sanity for a moment, my suspicions are aroused as my mind and body wants something else to be lurking behind an inanimate object. With every foot step, my heart pounds as I anticipate another melodramatic creature feverishly suspending midair wanting to gouge, claw, or bite into another character, making him or her fall suspect as a victim. I can't blink. I can't swallow. My breathing is shallow... and then the mind twist. I am lead down a path one way, then out of left field, my mind is shoved down a different path leaving me with a psychological thriller for an ending. Not a surprising ending, but the journey captivating the end result is rewarding.

The only problem I see with psychological thrillers is that by the end of the film, I am left wondering who the heck does that? And, then, one day down the line, a sociopath is suspended into reality leaving me with a comparison of the sociopath to a scenario with twisted motives in a movie much like "Fear Island."

Warning: Spoilers
Films from British Columbia should have a warning in the opening credits. Seriously.

This is a murder mystery. Six folks on an island get murdered, by someone bent on revenge.

Unfortunately, it's not much of a mystery, as they pretty much tell you who is doing the killing right up front.

Also, there are several clue words given out, one of them being NAIVE. Except that I don't remember that word ever being used. What happened there? Did I miss it?

And, although the bodies are pretty, the acting is remarkably bad, particularly from some of the actors I've seen elsewhere. Shock and sorrow aren't supposed to look like you're stifling a laugh.

Cops are not that stupid.

And, what happened to the dog?

GOOD MOVIE - don't know why everybody is so negative.
deagrampetersson31 May 2014
I really liked this movie. THOUGH, it is not a horror movie. I would categorize it more like a thriller or something like that. But like some of the others on here says, you keep changing your suspect and it ends up really surprisingly. I really liked this movie, and i think you should watch it! Do not listen to everybody saying - Oh this is bad, blah blah blah, because it is not. It is not a good horror movie because it is not that scary, but it makes you think, and i promise you, you will get surprised at moments! I do hope you will watch it, because it is worth it! You are not wasting you time, it is a good movie, i tell ya! Its a great movie!

Nothing new but still pretty entertaining
MattyGibbs29 November 2014
Six friends ( plus a stowaway) go on a weekend getaway to a deserted island and find themselves at the mercy of a killer. The question is who is the killer? The premise is hardly original but then how many films are these days.

The film is shown in flashback which to be honest I found a little irritating at the start but in the end I felt it worked. The characters/victims are the normal cannon fodder you would expect to find in a movie like this and at times it all feels a little predictable and I felt I'd seen some scenes before even though I hadn't. There is a lack of gore in the film although there are a number of good tense scenes and some wince inducing moments.

For all it's obvious flaws there are enough nice touches to keep up your interest level and it has a nice twist ending. Although it's certainly no ground breaker it's an easy film to watch which makes it ideal for a Saturday night with a few beers.

Overall I enjoyed this film and it's worth watching on the basis that you don't expect too much.

In The Name Of Fear!.......
jamesbourke5931 October 2011
Warning: Spoilers
For anyone out there who can remember and recall with fondness the many exhilarating tales written by Enid Blyton about the famous five and their many exploits, such was my thinking when I sat down to watch this movie.

My immediate thought was of course imagine if Enid had concocted The Famous Five Go Mad On Fear Island. alas such is not the case, but such is that feeling of familiarity that it never left me throughout this film's entire running time.

The main headliner in the cast is of course Hayley Duff, and she acquits herself admirably throughout, although I did find myself extremely distracted by her dimpled chin! As for the rest of the cast they also carry themselves through the story with aplomb, decent acting is hard to find in movies of this nature.

However that being said, my main concern was the film's narrative structure that really let itself down, I'm all for flashback in small doses, but dear lord, just when you find yourself settling into the story we get another flashback! I've never been one for spoilers, and you won't get any here, but if you find yourself watching this movie and your able to get to the ending, don't be surprised if you shake your head in disbelief and wonder why in hell the scriptwriter decided on a very familiar twist.

In the name of fear!.....In the name of God!.....If you feel anyway inclined to watch a decent little whodunnit, skip this one and check out James Mangold's Identity, at least that movie can tell a decent story and definitely deliver a killer twist.

This movie get 1 out of 10 and that's just for Hayley's dimpled chin.

Dull teen slasher mystery thriller.
poolandrews20 November 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Fear Island starts as Jenna (Haylie Duff) is found alone on an island by the police, all of her friends have been murdered & back on the mainland Detective Armory (Martin Cummins) has her as the number one suspect. However psychiatrist Dr. Chalice (Anne Marie DeLuise) feels Armory is being too hard on Jenna who has suffered immense strain & is still grieving over her dead friends but with six murdered teens to explain Armory wants answers, at first Jenna doesn't remember much but soon she starts to tell the story of what took place on the island & how her friends were murdered by a seemingly mysterious killer. As Jenna explains the events Armory changes his opinion & feels sorry for Jenna but Dr. Chalice notices that her story doesn't quite add up & that not all is as it seems...

This Canadian production was directed by Michael Storey & is a typically dull made for telly murder mystery affair with the overall feel of a teen slasher, unfortunately Fear Island never really delivers in either aspect. The script has all the teen slasher clichés like the young group of friends who head off to some isolated location for fun & find themselves being bumped off by some killer in what is pretty bad even for the sub-genre but the teen slasher angle is based around a murder mystery as the sole survivor retells her story & the events unfold with no great surprises until the double twist ending which I have to admit I guessed, I'm not just saying that either I did guess the exact twist ending with about fifteen minutes to go. I can't say it worked that well, things don't really add up & for the cops not to at least check this girls identity is just difficult to believe & quite how Jenna knew all the information she did is also a mystery, I mean how did she know that Meagan's parents would be away? Why let herself get caught by the police in the first place? Who called the police anyway? Why did the kids keep splitting up when a killer was running around? I mean the excuse to look for the girls Dog is flimsy at best, I suspect the Dog searching reason was laziness on the writers part. I mean would you run around the woods looking for a Dog if you knew a brutal killer was on the loose? No, I wouldn't either but the character's in Fear Island have no problem with the concept. At just over 80 minutes long Fear Island does tend to drag at times, I can't say I was ever enthralled by it or cared about what was going on & the lack of any memorable kills & an underwhelming twist ending means I would find it hard to recommend Fear Island & I can't say I would ever want to see it again.

Fear Island looks nice enough in a forgettable but nice enough sort of way, the cast are all obscenely handsome as you would expect & it's well made for what it is. There's not much horror here to be honest & the film concentrates on the mystery aspects more, the kills are really lazy & unimaginative which hurt it. Most of them are off screen & feature little in the way of blood, a bit of blood splatter is as gory as it gets. This being a made for telly flick there's no sex or nudity either.

The IMDb says Fear Island had a budget of about $4,000,000 which it total rubbish, there's no way this cost that much. Filmed in Vancouver in Canada. The acting is alright, it's not as bad as it could have been & as I said the cast are suitably easy on the eye. Minor celebrity Haylie Duff stars.

Fear Island is a teen slasher with a fairly basic murder mystery tacked on, I can't say it's particularly brilliant but it's well made & if you don't guess the twist ending like I did then it might surprise you, but I doubt it & there are still a few things which don't feel right or add up properly. The lack of blood, gore & nudity doesn't help either. Not the worst film ever made I suppose but far from the best.

Weak TV horror movie
SnoopyStyle9 May 2014
Jenna (Haylie Duff) is found alive and with amnesia. Detective Armory (Martin Cummins) and Dr. Chalice (Anne Marie DeLuise) investigate the six dead and Jenna slowly recalls the events. Jenna and four friends (Aaron Ashmore, Kyle Schmid, Jessica Harmon, Jacob Blair) sail to an isolated island house. The island caretaker Keith finds 15 year old Megan (Lucy Hale) stowaway on their boat.

This is not scary, and that's the first thing I look for in a horror. The basic story of young hot people in an isolated location is nothing special. It could be a reasonable TV B-movie, but the no thrills kills won't get many horror fans excited. The problem is the wrapped-in-a-flashback-retelling construction. It takes away all the tension. And whether she's telling the truth or not, Haylie Duff just takes away all the excitement. I didn't care about Jenna or her story.

Not good at all
dertobirockt25 September 2021
In my eyes this movie was produced ten or more years too late. It seems like a typical 90s slasher. Teenagers get hunted down one by one. The acting is poor, story is lame. Only the story telling in flashbacks is kinda interesting. Another small plus point is that the ending is not really predictable.

Professionally made but routine
neil-47622 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
A small group of teens on an island is murdered, one by one.

Professionally made and attractively photographed, this murder mystery / slasher horror is routine, utterly predictable, and totally devoid of thrills. Its one claim to mild originality is the way it is told in flashback by the amnesiac last survivor. Unfortunately, by its very nature, this robs the "last man standing" element of any suspense, leaving us to discover only the order and manner of deaths, the reason why, and the expected final twist.

This is not "the worst film I have ever seen" - far from it - but it has nothing out of the ordinary to recommend it.

Mediocre
Uriah4322 August 2013
A group of 4 young men and 3 women decide to take a boat to their favorite island vacation hangout. Once they reach the cabin and settle in members of their group begin to die off one by one. So much for the plot which has been played and replayed numerous times in the past. Even so, this particular film was told in a unique manner which managed to keep the film at least somewhat entertaining. For example, the lone survivor was a woman named "Jenna" (Haylie Duff) who was rescued by the police and suffers from amnesia. So she tells the story in a series of flashbacks. Now, normally when the "flashback technique" is used it tends to take away from the mystery of the film. Fortunately, this wasn't the case as there were many unexpected twists and turns as the story evolved. There isn't much horror or suspense. Neither was there any gratuitous sex or nudity. The acting was mediocre, the dialogue was weak and the special effects were nowhere to be seen. But the mystery keeps it together long enough for an unexpected ending which manages to tie everything up rather nicely. In short, if you're looking for an exciting horror film then you might be disappointed. All things considered I rate is as average.

A secluded island nurtures fear.
michaelRokeefe8 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes you watch something in desperation. Sometimes on a friend's recommendation, figuring its worth a watch. It is! FEAR ISLAND is a movie that proves there are endless ways to meet your demise. A handful of friends, and a stowaway, head to a family cabin on a secluded island for a getaway of partying. Brothers Tyler(Kyle Schmid)and Kyle(Jacob Blair) had no idea their hospitality would be marred by the discovery of a dead body. Then when they try to go for help, their boat has disappeared from the dock. Now the story falls in line with so many other slasher flicks; everyone on the island are in startled fear of a mysterious killer. One by one the friends meet their deaths in various and imaginative manner. A lone survivor(Haylie Duff)tries to retell the gory chain of events to Detective Armory(Martin Cummins) and a therapist, Dr. Chalice(Ann Marie DeLuise). Personally my interest was in the stowaway, Megan(Lucy Hale). Now you have to figure out who the killer was and why. Wait for it, there is a twist of course. Filmed totally in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on a modest budget. Others in the cast: Jessica Harmon, Jim Thorburn and Brenda O'Brien.

I thought it was pretty awesome!
ririgal137 July 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Now I hadn't heard of this until yesterday but I thought I would give it a watch. Most films like this, the ones with a slightly moronic title and a sort of cliché storyline, are terrible. I was pretty damn wrong.

You know the general idea of the film, based on the summary above or perhaps you have seen the trailer. Now, while it has the kind of plot you expect from most horror/thriller movies these days, it seems different somehow. I do like their approach to this storyline. They didn't make it blatantly obvious from the beginning that they should have a reason to get away to the island, kind of thing. It does jump back and forth in time quite a bit, as i'm sure has been said in other reviews but its pretty easy to keep up with.

I would have given this film a 9, however, the ending has left me wondering something and its bothering me... I don't want to say too much in case I ruin it. If you watch it then maybe you will figure it out. Or you could write on one of my other posts, I have lists on here which you could write on and ask me. It probably sounds stupid but I don't want to ruin it for those who don't want to know.

Either way, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of the film. While the ending was sort of expected, the entire movie also had the ability to doubt yourself and make you think something completely different was happening.

So yeah I thought it was awesome =D The rating for this movie might not be great but I think its better than what its been given. It all depends on your expectancy of the film. If your expectations are too high, then this would probably suck. But give it a go anyway, you'll never know if you like it if you don't watch it.

Zero originality
Leofwine_draca25 April 2016
FEAR ISLAND is yet another dull slasher movie about a group of friends assembling on a remote spot and being bumped off one by one by a mysterious killer. Who's the one responsible? Does anybody actually care?

The answer is a resounding no. FEAR ISLAND is content to plod along without trying very hard to deliver thrills that are either genuinely exciting or indeed original. This Canadian TV movie was obviously made on a low budget; it has some violence, but otherwise the entire execution seems tame and subdued.

The poor quality of the cast doesn't help, with lots of screaming and overacting from the majority of the cast members. Not until I checked the film on the IMDb did I realise that Shawn Ashmore wasn't in this, but instead his twin brother, who isn't as charismatic an actor. Yeah, that's about as interesting as it gets.

Watch it yourself and ya just may find out its not half bad..

Warning: Spoilers
Seriously, its really not half bad(if you're going into it realistically for what it is..a made-for-TV-horror-flick)..

The acting is way better than the majority of all straight-to-video horror flicks as well as they all are easy on the eyes.. I'm a huge horror movie fan and honestly found this little flick to definitely be worth the hour and a half running time(especially given the fact the few reviews I read literally slammed the $hit out of it)

No spoilers here and basically I only bothered to post a review to ensure the truth is made known that this flick is worth watching when looking at it as being nothing more, and nothing less than just what IT is..a not half bad flick that's worth a watch if you've got the time..

Enjoy!

A cheesy horror movie with a amazing ending

Warning: Spoilers
Now I have seen many reviews that have trashed this movie and if I had looked at the reviews before i watched the movie, I would have refrained from doing so. But I watched it and I liked it.

This movie is different from other horror movies because it is in the perspective of after the killings. The main character tells us what happened as she is questioned by the police. This, already, was very cool to me and peaked my interest.

Some people say the acting was terrible. Now this is my opinion but i have never had that problem with other movies and I thought the acting was fine. Haylie Duff was great with what she was given and when she had to act upset, I think she pulled it off. Lucy Hale is one of my favorite actress and she was good so as for the acting, I think it is up to the viewer but I liked it.

Now let's get to the ending, I will not spoil anything because that would irritate me had I read the reviews. The ending some may say is predictable and stupid but I did not see it coming nor did i think it was stupid and I think it made the movie so much better.

I would like to say avoid what the reviews say, but that would mean that you should not listen to me which is not what I mean at all. I think you should watch it yourself because it is a very good movie and not to judge it so quickly.
