Less than super. The detective thing is the limp overcooked noodle of storytelling. The ex-girlfriend stalker bit is coarse and abrasive, but charming in spite of itself. Officer grandpa is very unpleasant from all angles. You've seen better.

Warning: Spoilers
'I don't scratch. I punch.' Didi Conn is pestering a man who married another woman instead of her. Okay, Didi was known for being mousey, but here she's actually really sexy. Also, her behavior would in no way ever be tolerated. Jan has a kid and no husband. She's been lying to her big macho father, saying that she did. What will happen when he learns the truth? Oh yeah, Tony Dow is interested in her too. Meanwhile, a Countess has gone missing. Fortunately, we have a famous detective on board. Gopher thinks he's amazing. (Gopher is easily impressed.) Can this detective solve the mystery of love? As for the crime, I suspect Vicki. I usually suspect Vicki. For Didi alone this gets a rating bump. On Kafka's Love Boat Scale, this episode gets 3 * out of a possible 4 *.
