No big deal

A top director of his time, Nic Cramer makes a big splash with this production, shooting on 35mm film and sporting end credits as lengthy as some mainstream pictures, but the result is decidedly minor.

Its screenplay would fit on the back of an envelope, basically showing a blank character played by Randy Spears, fired by his boss (Nic Cramer himself, smoking a stogey) in the opening scene and spending the rest of the movie posing as a famous photographer named Cody McCoy.

Spears merely reacts to some situations, but 90% of the time he is just pretending to shoot the models, fairly incompetently, and then f*cking them. Chief model is nicely played by Wendy Divine, a favorite actress of mine who seemingly was getting a shot at big roles at this point, though mainly a character porn actress the rest of her career. I kept waiting for significant plot twists or something interesting to happen, but no such luck.
