The Evolved is a great Shlock flick
jamesinthepeach15 November 2006
Warning: Spoilers
The Evolved part one is a great Schlock flick, full of punches and great surprises. The opening scene starts off with a guy getting his balls cut off by a razor blade. One of the characters is played by a drunk puppet. Also includes an aborted fetus named Fetie who is addicted to Heroin and a Shark monster which kills psycho Nazi clown chefs who work for an evil burger company run by a hilarious Hitler pope and a dirty little secret dwells below in their meat selection. Pretty awesome addition to the already awesome Troma catalog. I grade it 7 out of 10. On a scale of 1 being as bad as a shitty Troma film like Croaked and 10 being a great one like the Toxic Avenger.

Eat me

Warning: Spoilers
Oh God, where do I begin? The murder in the alley? The bad guy with the shark mask? The Nazi Pope? The clumsy lip synching by the plastic woman in the wheel chair? The plastic woman having sex? All the above? Yes and much more.

Lets cut to the chase: this movie is awful. The first thing is the bad script. Crappy burger chain using human remains funded by the 'Nazi Pope' with crappy F-rated detectives on their tale. And somehow related to a shark-man who wants revenge. Already makes your head hurt.

Then you got the crappy sound editing and the lousy camera work. Could they get the mannequin to lip synch right or was that out of the budget? And what is up with the mannequin sex scene? Just plain retarded in every aspect.

Quite frankly this is the worst movie I have never seen such bad acting in all my life. In fact, this is the worst movie I have ever seen so far in my life. The only comparable film in horrible quality is "Deady Drifter" - aka "Out" with Danny Glover. But this one, with its non-ending ending and lack of brain power prove to be the undoing before this one ever began.

Sucks, sucks, and yes - sucks. "F"

AMEN WITH CHEESE

Warning: Spoilers
This is a low budget idiotic film about searching London for a land shark monster and dog napper. It includes the gratuitous stupidity that includes sex with a puppet and the pope looking like Hitler. Nothing funny or entertaining about the film. Extras were lame also.

F-bomb, sex, and nudity.

Hit that bong and laugh your ass off!

I love the British. I caught this film recently and absolutely laughed myself silly. It's so imaginative and over the top. The characters, locations and camera work is gritty and raw. It's also mixed with some great music.

There are some hilarious one-liners...I wouldn't be surprised if KFC starts selling "Dixie-Land Ball Dip" some time soon. The film rips on Tom Hanks as well to great comedic effect. The Nazi Pope/Fast Food giant is very funny as well.

The perfect movie to watch when you come home after work. Troma never ceases to amaze, disgust and frighten me.

Worth a look if you're into crazy, funny films.

Insane

Holy crap, this film is insane - and not in a bad way. I saw this film as recommended after I watched A Clockwork Orange and when I saw a preview I was blown away by how strange this movie seemed. I'm surprised it hasn't been reviewed more. When I first watched it I instantly thought cult film material. It may be low budget but god-damn is it funny. Maybe not for everyone but if you like dark humour I heartily recommend. There is a lot of profanity, the plot is questionable and the low budget is very noticeable but if you like films that aren't suited to mainstream audiences then you might appreciate this film.

Solid Offensive Satire
RickyChinaski29 March 2007
This movie is very low budget, to the order of virtually zilch so it has its problems with production value in certain areas as all cheap movies do. That's not really the point with underground cheap movies though is it, they ain't supposed to be trying to wow you with home made special effects that are almost as good as the studios, whats the point in that. Cheap movies job is to entertain you for an hour or so with some style and flair that is different to mainstream crap. This movie does that and succeeds a lot of the time and fails in some places too. Presented as a kind of Pythonesque, Derek & Clive vulgar comedy with the same guys appearing in different costumes it has a lot of visual flair and the camera work and cinematography although not flashy is overall good and unobtrusive, it shows the action clearly and the sound is great which is a rare thing in these cheap flicks. The plot is too complex and has almost two independent stories kinda crossing over each other. There is some intelligence here too with satire of giant corporations, religion, abortion, people with disabilities, women's rights, drug use, alcoholism amongst it. This isn't shoved in your face its in the background and the overall movie is comedy, and its very funny in patches and a bit slow in others. Its the type of movie that plays great to a festival crowd who are prepped for low budget production and want to laugh. I hear its done well in Europe.
