Goofs | Half an hour in, Mannix has yet another fist fight with a couple of guys. The first one turns away from the camera and the back of his blue jacket is all dusty white. Mannix then punches him and he falls onto the white dirt. This reveals that they filmed him being punched and falling down (getting his jacket dirty) before filming the beginning part of the fight scene. See more » |

Quotes |
Morgan Carpenter:
[sitting across from Joe at Hippeland as Joe reads the paper]
What do you say, man? Like the rag? Joe Mannix: You got something to do with it? Morgan Carpenter: Everything, baby. Everything. Editor, publisher, star reporter. Morgan Carpenter: [stretching out his hand for Joe to shake] Name's, uh, Morgan Carpenter. Joe Mannix: [lifts his hand to shake Carpenter's] Oh, uh, Mannix. Joe Mannix. Morgan Carpenter: Mannix. Yeah. Insurance business, right, huh? Joe Mannix: Hey, that's great. How'd you know? Morgan Carpenter: I'm a reporter, man. It's my business to know people. You dig? Besides, a lady named Cindy Gier called. Said I should keep an eye out for you. Pretty wild, huh? Joe Mannix: Oh, yeah. She's great. Yeah great. Joe Mannix: [pointing to a lady dancing behind Carpenter] She's not bad either. Morgan Carpenter: Want me to fix you up with her, huh? Joe Mannix: Oh, maybe some other time, huh? Right now, I'm looking for Jill Bonnett. Morgan Carpenter: How's that, man? Joe Mannix: [speaking louder] Jill Bonnett... You know where I can find her? See more » |
