The Professor Invents
bkoganbing7 January 2018
When Russell Johnson was on Gilligan's Island as the Professor he was always
inventing some kind of contraption to either help the castaways escape or make their life easier on the island. In this Laramie story he's kind of inventive
as well.
What he invents is an early timing device to make dynamite explode at a distance or when you want to. But Johnson hasn't anything noble in mind. His aim is to rob a heavily guarded stagecoach while its guards and driver sleep at the relay station at night. He succeeds all too well
The story is how Robert Fuller tracks him down and apprehends him in a mountain cabin where he's taken up with a woman and her son.
Johnson is a whole lot different than he was as a wise if somewhat eccentric professor with the rest of the castaways.
