David Hyde Pierce is terrific in this episode !

This is probably the "Frasier" episode that made me realize what an outstanding comedic talent David Hyde Pierce is. He virtually steals the scene during the "morning after" set when Niles visits Frasier, and is horrified to find his nemesis Bebe the agent on the premises. His slow burn double-take is the funniest thing I've seen on TV practically since Lucille Ball. Many of the sequences involving Niles and Frasier had, in my opinion, a quite operatic quality to them, and this one is no exception as Niles valiantly tries to "save" his errant brother from the clutches of the evil one. One might imagine that a talent like Frasier Crane could afford someone much more polished than Bebe, but he seems almost pathetically inclined to retain her services. This is a marvelous episode with the brothers squaring off with Bebe in the middle - enjoy !

Renegotiations

Bebe, Frasier's manager shows up.and is determined to get Frasier a new contract. She uses outrageous methods, including sleeping with her client. She is a spicy woman who pulls no punches. Frasier, being the coward he is, is scared to death he will be fired. The final scene is not unlike one that featured the title character when he was on Cheers.

One of my favorite episodes of Frazier largely hangs on the brilliant performance by Harriet Sansom Harris. Why she never won an award for her over-the-top portrayal of agent Bebe Glazer is beyond me! The writing and performance by the whole cast are first rate always, but it all comes together in an awesome way in this particular episode. Just when you think it couldn't go further "over the line", another story twist pops up yet again. I enjoy every episode that Harris is featured, but this one is my favorite of all 11 that she was in. I am very late coming to know her name and her history in entertainment. She truly needs more recognition for a long and successful acting career.

Funny but

It's another episode where frasier has his way with a woman and then drops them.. It happened so much thru out the show that frasier lost his charm as a hopeless romantic and just ended up looking like a womaniser by the shoes end. This is a funny episode but mostly impart of niles. He carried so many episodes, especially his sarcastic comments whenever frasier uses and leaves woman.

Frasier finding form
studioAT17 July 2017
Despite the creators crowing on the DVD extras that this is the best series of 'Frasier' I'm afraid on the whole I have been a bit underwhelmed.

However, this episode, and those that follow for the rest of the series show 'Frasier' finding a bit of consistent form, and shows off just how good it can be.

The other reviewer of this episode commented on just how good David Hyde Pierce is in it, and that's very true. The strength of 'Frasier' really was that any of the supporting characters could if needed carry an episode.

I'm pleased the show is finding some form late in its second run.
