Miraculously, Daria actually gets her driver's license (by the way, the car has the anarchy symbol as a hood ornament). Little does she know that she'll have to use this license a lot sooner than she'd anticipated.
Jane and Mystik Spiral are going to a town a hundred miles away for a concert. Daria and Quinn are home alone--their parents are going to a weekend marriage seminar. Unexpectedly, Jane calls shortly after Daria's folks leave. It seems that she and the Spiral are stuck in a small town jail for a driving offense and need Daria to pay their fine. So, Daria and Quinn go on a little cross-country trip to save the band...and Jane. Along the way, Quinn stops the car to pick up a dodgy hitchhiker and the Spirals meet an amazing(?) man in jail who regales them them with stories about his many adventures.
When Quinn is responsible for losing all the bail money, fortunately she uses her feminine ways to solve the problem. And, for once, she and Daria actually make a pretty good team! Of course, Quinn's stupidity necessitated all this.
Overall it's a pretty funny episode. My favorite part was the new band member who was a wild rebel--you have to see him to know what I mean!
