Bombshell tonight! Nancy Grace and her audience continue to want justice. Ever since Nancy Grace premiered on Hln back in 2005, the former Atlanta prosecutor has followed countless trials, fought to fine missing children and even got into a fierce argument with 2 Chainz about legalizing pot. Yes, we're still not sure what to make of that discussion. Along the way, the prime-time host has given courtroom reporters including Emmy-winning journalist Rita Cosby, Jane Velez-Mitchell, Jean Casarez and Diane Dimond a huge platform to report the news and show off their investigative skills. In between unleashing the lawyers, updating fans on her twins and getting into a few verbal smack downs, Nancy has...

If the state of Wisconsin would have had its way, thousands of fans wouldn't be glued to their computer screens and televisions, binge watching Making a Murderer. In a Twitter Q&A, the show's directors, Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi, claimed to fans that production on the series was nearly shut down when the state of Wisconsin hit them with a subpoena. "There were many challenges," they tweeted when asked about the most difficult aspect of making the documentary. "One was when the State of Wisconsin tried to subpoena our footage. "We had to hire a lawyer and file a...

She was one of Steven Avery's biggest supporters in Making a Murderer but tonight, his former fiancée tells Hln's Nancy Grace that "it was all an act." In the full interview, Jodi Stachowski claims to Nancy Grace producer Natisha Lance that she believes Avery is guilty of the murder of Teresa Halbach. "Yes I do," she replies without hesitation, claiming the reason is because "he threatened to kill me and my family and a friend of mine." When asked why he had threatened her she simply says it was because "he was sick." Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey...

Steven Avery's ex-fiancée, Jodi Stachowski, figures prominently in the Netflix crime docu-series, Making a Murderer, in which she advocates for her former paramour. But in a new interview, which aired on Hln's Nancy Grace on Wednesday, Stachowski called Avery a "monster."
Avery served 18-years in prison for a sexual assault he didn't commit. He was exonerated by DNA evidence in 2003. Two years later, Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassey were convicted of the murder of Teresa Halbach.
In the Nancy Grace clip, Stachowski tells Hln producer Natisha Lance that she believes Avery killed Halbach.

Good news for people who love things that suck horribly
I operate in my daily life under the assumption that Nancy Grace is Jean Smart‘s uptight twin sister, or that at the very least, each night before she sits down in front of the camera to cram a big ol’ skillet of her southern-fried horseshit down the American gullet, Grace takes a long swig from a tall crystal chalice of Jean Smart’s still-living blood. I would recommend adopting this ethos to anyone who suffers from even a moderate set of neuroses. It is a strangely comforting thought in this world of disparate, glaring contrasts.
Of course, it’s easy to pick on Nancy Grace, and I thank Jerry Falwell’s God for that, because even the slightest mitigation in any effort to undermine her reputation as a journalist would be as futile as it would be misguided. Nancy Grace...

Among the many differences between the opposing legal teams in the Casey Anthony murder trial, perhaps the key distinction is this: Where the prosecution sought to provide answers, the defense aimed to raise questions. In his final opportunity to speak to the 12 jurors, who sat stone-faced, attentive and unreadable throughout the trial's intense six weeks, defense lawyer Jose Baez told them that the biggest question of all, how Casey's 2-year-old daughter Caylee died, remained unanswered. "It can never be proven," he said. In the end, the jury agreed. But why? Related: Casey Anthony's Parents Call Her Defense 'Baseless'Several Key FactorsLegal...

Jane Velez Mitchell calls it the war against women. Nancy Grace spotlights the missing, and presumed murdered, woman or girl du jour. All violence is condemnable, but is there anything comparable to the sheer quantity of women killed in domestic violence situations? The latest macabre example began as a lady-stuffed-in-suitcase whodunit this weekend in my hometown of eight years, Buena Park, California. An old fellow collecting cans for recycling came across a two foot by three foot carry-on style suitcase in a dumpster that contained the well preserved body of an "extremely small" female. The woman, quickly identified by all the news media as "former swimsuit model" 28-year-old Jasmine Fiore, was folded into the bag and left like yesterday's trash in an alley. Police estimated she had been strangled just hours before being found....

Zahn heads for the exit at CNN
NEW YORK -- A day after CNN announced that Campbell Brown will join the network in the fall, another high-profile anchor, Paula Zahn, did the expected and said that she is leaving.
The six-year CNN veteran's last day on the network will be Aug. 2. Her 8 p.m. slot, occupied by "Paula Zahn Now", will be filled by a stream of substitutes until Brown's as-yet-unnamed show takes over in November.
Zahn was approaching the end of her contract at year's end and, in the course of discussing the next step with CNN-U.S. president Jon Klein, they mutually decided there wasn't a place for her at CNN.
"After 30 years in the business I've worked every daypart on the dial, and there really wasn't anything here above and beyond the show that I was doing that would have been new to me," Zahn said Tuesday.
Zahn's departure had been long rumored following the failure of her primetime show, "Paula Zahn Now", to gain traction against Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" as well as MSNBC's "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" and CNN Headline News' "Nancy Grace". Although the ratings have improved recently and the show has won awards and critical attention for its coverage of topics like race relations, "Paula Zahn Now" remained mired in third and often fourth place in the ratings at 8 p.m.

CNN hooks up new studio for video feeds
NEW YORK -- CNN on Tuesday took the wraps off a new high-tech studio that will house Anderson Cooper 360, Paula Zahn Now and American Morning. Zahn and Cooper's shows -- three hours of primetime out of the New York studios -- started in the new studio Tuesday. The three hours of American Morning will begin Monday, and Larry King Live will originate from the new studio when King is in New York. The fifth-floor studio used to be CNNfn's home base until that network closed and later was used for Nancy Grace and Showbiz Tonight. It has undergone an extreme makeover during the past eight weeks, with 25 plasma screens and 47 LCDs fitted inside the space, including a 24-foot edge-blended wall of video that will be used to show as many as 12 separate moving pictures on a screen in front of the anchor.
