Touted as her "first directoral debut" for Stormy Daniels, this Wicked Pictures vehicle for Kaylani Lei is a subpar rom-com proving Ms. Daniels was not quite ready to make the jump from actress to filmmaker.
She wrote a high-concept screenplay concerning Lei waking up in bed with male stripper Evan Stone the morning after a party, and finding a marriage certificate for them, no memory of what happened while she was drunk. This is right before her scheduled marriage to fiance Nick Manning.
The resulting farce has many a twist and turn, centering around Nick's ex-girlfriend Alexis Malone who has been stalking him and is out to thwart his nuptials to Kaylani. Sex scenes involving the principals plus busty Shay Sights and Kaylani's gal pal Pason are well performed, but the laughs fail to materialize.
Worst scene is the last one, where Stormy rounds up most of the cast to sort out the various loose plot ends -it is clumsily staged by Daniels and very unconvincing.
Fortunately, in the subsequent 15 years before her Wicked contract expired, Stormy directed many a fine genre film for the label, including rom-coms far more successful than this one.
